Arcticu Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 As usual, the fixed version 1.6.1 is up. The no spiders option was indeed broken and the stangers are now killable, too. Was going to mention this last night but kind of forgot. Was testing it out in a fort in a frozen mountain down south to find two wolves and a spider running away. It then happened again with the spider getting trapped in the fort's doorway. Glad it's fixed now. Going to grab this fix so I can stop killing or pushing them away. Those bastards creep me out. Also liking how your followers are now involved as well along with the improved sleeping immersion. You now gradually wake up, or choose to wake up. This makes it all that much more awesome. Curious though....Did I misread or was there a slight chance to be moved elsewhere on the map while asleep? Didn't test long enough for it to happen. Pretty sure it was a new feature, though with a low chance or a misread? *goes back to reread posts* Edit: Guess I did misread. Would be an interesting thought if the player did get teleported somewhere around the map while asleep, maybe among a random bandit camp or something. Just a light suggestion to toy with. Now to play with this new update-fix.
RDKateran Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I'm fairly new to using this mod, but I did have it set so that creatures were disabled when testing it out in the wilderness around Whiterun, but still ended up raped by wolves. Was before the latest fix, though, which I've yet to try out.
bjornk Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 is there any special way to update this? i cant get the MCM menu to work when trying to use any version other than 1.5. 1. I think there's a "disable/uninstall mod" option in 1.5's MCM, use it, and then save/quit. 2. Uninstall 1.5 (i.e. delete everything) 3. Run Skyrim and load the save, save again, load again, save again. 4. Clean the last save with this tool. 5. Load the save you've just cleaned, save again, load again, save again. Make sure that 1.5's menu is no longer displayed in MCM. 6. Install 1.6. Always save into a new save slot. This method should always work, works for me anyway. As for 1.6.1 -> 1.6.2 update, overwriting the old files should work, but I haven't tested it yet.

That's just something I was suggesting. I like the survival aspects; frostfall, RND, and finding basic equipment when you need it but that only really matters at the start of the game. You know, have finding that iron dagger a blessing again. The robbery events of defeat help, but more is always welcome. Being cast into unknown circumstances with limited equipment is always interesting and would add real consequence to sleeping somewhere stupid. How would you explain the abduction? Perhaps the dovakin has a twisted stalker or just someone with a grudge, or someone you've stolen from... Seperately, would it be possible to reduce the chance of attack based on if a cell has the 'cleared' flag.

Have you typed setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1 after doing all the above and loading into the save game that now has 1.6.2 on? Just had an encounter in breezehome with an argonion but rather than interrupting sleep it triggered when my character woke up so i had control and the argonion just ran around doing the "i cant defeat you" dialogue rather than sex happening, follower was correctly bound although the "wait let me free you" dialogue doesnt go away after freeing them. This is with 1.6.2 on a save i've upgraded dangerous nights on after making a "clean save" and using a save game tool to delete the dead scripts and then installed the new version on.

I did this myself twice for both 1.5->1.6.1 and 1.6.1->1.6.2 upgrades and had no such problems. You may try to reset and restart the MCM quest but I can't guarantee that it'll work. Try this... stopquest SLDangerousNights sqv SLDangerousNights(make sure the quest has stopped) setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1At this point "Dangerous Nights" MCM menu should disappear completely. startquest SLDangerousNights sqv SLDangerousNights(make sure it's running) setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1Now SLDN menu should reappear in MCM, but as I said, I don't know if this would break the quest, still, I see no harm in trying once.
andrea fin Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 ok problems i have had with updating from 1.5 there was no uninstall option, only a disable/enable toggle in MCM for dangerous nights i could reload save and save game with the mcm menu gone. i couldnt clean any scripts, since if i use fix all in save cleaner or try removing unattached script instances in script scalpel thing i get almost instant ctd once i appear (i am in breezhome in the save game). loading game with no cleaning but with the new 1.6.2 gives me empty dangerous nights menu. resting or sleeping does nothing. i am going to try the above thing as a desperate measure, but if it fails, i need to decide whether to stick with 1.5 and finish this game or start over yet again. it would be good if i knew which are the script instances in the save game i need to delete. everytime i need to clean a save to make an updated mod work there are ALWAYS 7 unattached scripts and cleaning them all ALWAYS results in CTD in the edited save, and only deleting the bare minimum ones worked on another mod...because the guy working on it gave me 3 or 4 specific important ones, and only deleting those fixed my ctd problem. is this something ppl pick up with experience?
Slorm Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Tested 1.6.2 on a clean save and it seems fine. Tested with Stranger and Animal in exterior location and internally (Breezehome) Stranger only and all worked correctly. Haven't tested followers as I never use them @Andreas Fin Are you using both options on the savegame cleaner, you need to use Fix All# which gets rids of around 7 or so scripts then use FixScriptInstances which removes around 20 orphaned scripts
Vithiss Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I am using the latest version in a new game and just had a question: I had selected Female Only for companions, and Bound. Then I ended up with a male companion when an opportune bedroll came along. The question part is, was he not bound (just stood there watching) because I selected Female Only? Thanks. Neat mod idea, been nice watching it develop too. Edit: I'll just test it when I am at the skyrim computer again.
afa Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Tested 1.6.2 Using bed in the broken house near Whiterun watch tower, 2 followers Here are some observations: Detection only works for humanoid aggressor, you can't resist creatures. Edit: Spawned stranger humanoid aggressor never touch followers (standard NPC seems to), he only seems to go after PC, followers will be bound. When I pick PC bound and follower victim nothing will spawn, blur screen and wake up happens and PC + followers are bound. Creatures do work however. Orgy doesn't work on humanoid (haven't tried creatures, need to find a location that has creatures with multi actor animation and also have a bed) only 1 stranger will spawn, although never tested in a populated areas with standard NPCs. However...technically the nearby tower has guards and Maiq also happens to be nearby, but they never got pick. (Low Moral setting) Stranger always spawn an Argonian, location based? The Let me help you dialog on follower never disappear even after unbinding them and taking off the gag. Also anyone ever tried this along with Dark Brotherhood starting quest?
andrea fin Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 @slorm no i wasnt using the other thing. i find it screws up Schlongs of Skyrim (i have a custom schlong thing installed is why i think). the procedure with stopping the quest in console etc worked and it seem to work afterward. i slept in silent moons i think it was and i had a wolf spawn. there was some oddness when i had the blurry wakeup, and saw the creature and it disappeared despite anims starting but sexlab hotkey reset positions brought it back. it ran off afterwards. so that is working. i have been a bit busy questing to try sleeping and seeing what else turns up and if anything happens so far. but i thot it important to say the console procedure seems to have worked for me.
Guest GuyWhoAbruptlyDisappeared Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 If only I could make it work on my game... I have installed the mod and its requirements (SexLab framework, FNIS, Zaz animation, SKSE, SkY UI), the mod appears in my MCM settings but even with percentages set to 100 my PC never gets raped when sleeping. What am I doing wrong ? Otherwise this mod sounds very cool. Congratulations! Where are you sleeping? When there is noone around matching the settings nothing will happen. This means that for example player homes are usually safe. If only I could make it work on my game... I tried sleeping in several different location (inns, bandit camps, homes, guard towers...) and I also enabled the "Spawn NPC" feature but nothing happens. Also, I used the Nexus Manager to install the mod (if it does matter). Does the sleeptimer just count down to zero? That would mean that DN doesn´t work properly. Or is the sleep interrupted and you get a message? That would mean that there is probably a problem with your sexlab. Are you able to have sex with other mods? The sleeptimer just counts down to 0 with no interruption and I don't get any message during the sleep. The problem must come from DN because other mods using the sexlab work. I might switch to Mod Organizer in the next few day. This could let me see if another mod is conflicting with it even though DN is the last mod I installed and is about last in the load-order. Edit : I haven't tired the 1.6 version yet. I'm having this exact same issue, but with 1.6.2 properly installed on a clean save.

Mud Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Curiously, when I try to disable and deactivate the mod to update, I can't get its entry in the MCM list to go away. Even with the esp disabled and all of the mod's scripts yanked out by the save cleaner tool, I still see Dangerous Nights in the list, although it doesn't have any function. And I think it's interfering with the new update as a result, after the update I see the new MCM menu, but it's unable to trigger any rapes on my old save, I just go to sleep and wake up normally even with 100% assault chance. It works fine on a fresh one, but I've never seen a mod lingering around even after cleaning it before...
LukeDuke Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Just type in the console (tilde''~'') ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 and hit enter. This always work for me.
Mud Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 No dice. Still doesn't work, and the command says it removed 0 registrations. Guess it's another new file for me.
pinky6225 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Just type in the console (tilde''~'') ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 and hit enter. This always work for me. I didn't think this was a console command as I have this line in my SKSE.ini file in \Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE The command i've always used to reload the MCM is setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1
badbat111 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 i had a odd bug when sleeping in 3 bedrolls i think it was aldruin the cave for dragon words the druaga came out but the 2 followers ran off the drugas ended up attacking first then the orgy happened looks like it isnt follower freindly
Hernite Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Has the download function been disabled? The download buttons are non-reactive.
Guest Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Is PC kidnapping or stolen items from home when PC is asleep a future plan? Or it never hapens in your mode? I ask because it was a very good idea on the beginning. I have some ideas for it when you need them.
Shimsham Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 So, Minor bug report. I noticed that strangers that are spawned tend to run around constantly, yelling about how they yield instead of actually leaving. More so, if the game fails to initiate sex from a spawned stranger; then they'll just run around and you'll be caught in an infinite loop; essentially shutting down the functions to Dangerous Nights.

Are the spawned enemies still level 10 instead the same level as your character? Maybe this could cause triggering the vanilla fear behaviour, when you're much stronger than the foe.
