Did not encounter any bugs or problems during my playthrough of the mod. High quality!
 

What I liked:

The voiced dialogue. (I know there is HQ voiced dialogue from kamithemoon, but I just used the voiced dialogue that comes with the mod.)

The tone of the story. It was lore-friendly, respectful, and immersive, yet still very sexy and arousing.

Relevant commentary by NPCs during sex scenes.

Tirwin's very gradual attitude shift and hentai-like acceptance of new experiences.

Playing as a female PC provided many opportunities to participate in the research.

The constant concern about the Thalmor gave the story a feeling of real importance and consequence.

The werebear quest was the high point for me. Yes, it is a sex quest, but it felt so lore friendly it could have been a part of the vanilla game. I came away feeling that we had made a real positive impact on the lives of those NPCs. Top notch story writing!

 

What I would like to see more of:

More research of the mainland Skyrim creatures that haven't been studied yet: Frostbite Spider, Chaurus, Falmer, Draugr, Werewolf, Skeever, Ice Wraith, Forsworn Briarheart, maybe even a smallerish-sized dragon could be introduced.

A storyline to help Tirwin overcome her fear of insects, perhaps using Frostbite Spider and Chaurus research events.

A storyline to help Tirwin overcome her fear of sex with dirty creatures. Perhaps skeevers can be used for that.

I know the mod is focused on "animal research", but maybe a "daedra research" storyline could be possible, involving Frost Atronach, Storm Atronach, Lurker, Seeker, and dremora of course. 😈

I liked the collaring ceremony at the end of the current story. I realized that this mod is, in some ways, the reverse of Submissive Lola. This mod's collaring ceremony reminded me of Submissive Lola's collaring ceremony, but from the opposite perspective. Would love to see more of this sub/dom relationship expanded on.

Want to be able to revisit the NPCs and locations that we visited earlier in the story. Would need reasons to go back. Maybe expanding on the "helping people" concept of the werebear storyline could introduce NPCs that need to overcome fears or learn to handle difficult situations. Tirwin and the PC could essentially start an "immersive" therapy business in which they escort clients to previous story locations and teach them how to engage with the creatures.

I know there are many succubus mods that focus on life drain through sex, but I wonder if this mod could go in a related but different direction. What if Tirwin learned of a more advanced series of books that taught how to gain trust and alliance through sex, so that a normally hostile sex partner could become an ally. This concept could be used in storylines in which Tirwin and the PC are captured by bandits and used for sadistic breeding entertainment, or captured by Thalmor and used for sadistic breeding experiments, but they are able to escape by using their knowledge to convert the creature sex partners into allies who can distract or attack enemies and help the heroes escape their predicament.

Thanks for the great feedback. There will definitely be more Skyrim creatures. As for dragons, you can scale them down, but I think that will mess up the animations.

The "animal" in animal research could easily be read as "creature". So, yes, anything is possible, and those creatures are all planned.

The (glowing) collar will definitely come into play more.  Tirwin starts off pretty strong-willed, but to me that makes for a more interesting character arc.

The plan is to go back and make creatures and NPCs repeatable where possible. A repeat visit might actually start a mini quest as well. As for reasons to go back, we'll have to think about that, but the general idea is to try to reuse NPCs as much as possible to make the quests and story more connected and immersive.

The current idea is for Tirwin to work on creating a spell or spells using the knowledge from the books. For example, a "Seduce Creature Spell" might calm all of the hostile creatures in the area and cause the nearest one to have sex with the caster.  So, while it would not create an ally, such a spell might allow escape past creature guards. Also, the idea of capture is definitely a possibility.

Pandora version? If you you (if i remember corecly) 2.6.0 is bugged and no register all animations. 2.4.0 work better.

Good to know, I'd been considering moving to Pandora from FNIS... the only reason I had not to begin with is due the steps involved are not quite clear if not conflicting at times.

Well sure, all the dragon animations available are designed around base sized dragons. 

 

Obviously would require a lot of thought, it's hard to find an actually good location to place a dragon up to the task. I would not suggest throat of the world... 

 

btw... If I turn off the invite settings on aroused creatures calling Odahviing is not recommended... damn winged serpent is an overly frisky mf. 😂

Well of course,  most woman find them disgusting if not a phobia of them, screams for me to come kill a tiny spider... and anything which crawls.

Yes, She is very interesting due the conflict within her ... almost like mood swings. Is a big part of what makes the mod so good.

I assume the spell will be temp?

I may imagine involving a visit to the college at Winterhold. A side research project somehow involving consulting Drevis Neloren (master trainer of Illusion)... least that's where calm spells and such fall in category.

 

To be honest I'm surprised Urag isn't asking to hunt down books. That dude locates too many of them, hate his radiant quests, go get me that book get me this book... Dude! Go get that yourself! 😉 Least if he'd told us chase down one of this mod's books would be worth something and interesting.🤣

Anyone know of a good mod that gives creatures a cock? I checked with Animated Beast Cocks but it's now only on SubscribeStar, which I gather means it's now pay-per-view. I had a vague recollection that there used to be more than just ABC available to provide all the furry friends with cocks but I can't find any thing else.

I'm currently translating Animal Research into Japanese. The text volume is too much though, so I don't know when it will be completed...
This is a later story that came to me while translating.
Tirwin found the abandoned house located on the edge of Falkreath. When she asked at Falkreath, it was a tavern called Animal Mansion. Then Tirwin made up his mind, Let's rebuild the Animal Mansion!!
Ragnar and Olaf will need a home, and it becomes tedious to find a bestiality partner the field. What do you think?

There are plans to revive Animal Mansion, but as a separate mod rather than as part of Animal Research.

HI. But all those plans have fizzled out. In LL this is called the Animal Mansion Curse.

 

PS.  It doesn't have to be animal mansion. or negotiate with Hircine or Sanguine to open a bestiality oblivion.  I just want a simple mod. GOOD MOUNTING!

I think the reason the others failed is because they tried to do too much, remaking it from scratch etc.  Animal Mansion Plus(if it was used as a base) doesnt need much, fix some bugs add a bunch more quests and your good.  Also in my opinion, add the abilty to hire followers/or girls added to the mod to work there.  Expecting the PC to do it all seemed dumb, you should be able to dip in and out as you please and it runs without you.

Personally, I've checked every version of Animal Mansion (one disappeared from LL, but focused on a different location to Falkreath).

The plan is to adapt the mod to current standards.

 

I would change how 1 quest runs and change one main quest to as side quest.

 

And yes in general I'm also leaning towards AM+ as a base for improvements.

 

Only one problem is. There are no source files, and that means you would have to rebuild every script.

Agree. Bug fixes, Completion of unfinished quests, Character visual renewal, Remove ZAZ from requirements, That's all I want. Story, text, and additional races is the curse.

Naryu is the character (female Dark Elf) that was speaking with Tirwin when you first met her in the Bannered Mare. Naryu is supposed to greet Tirwin before you enter the Retching Netch to speak with the innkeeper. Go back outside and Naryu should be there and should greet Tirwin and start a conversation.

Leave the inn and there will be Naryu outside. She will have a conversation with Tirwin and then with you.

For the moment, it's in a drawer. Gristle currently has 3 other mods in development.
