Is there any way to block HuCows from Minuteman quests?

As it is you "generally" have to milk them, fuck em, cure em, talk about the quest, then turn em back into HuCows. Not saying that isn't fun, but at that point they don't have the brain matter to be quest givers/targets.

There needs to be a tutorial on how to start the mod

Its easy. Just check the mailboxes in Snactuary and then follow the leads.

There is one incident of hard fighting for which I simply used console command depedning on who I play.

Here ya go. 2nd paragraph 2nd line.

There is a quest in the game (look for a clue in a mailbox in Sanctuary)....

to add...

It's the last one on the right before the bridge.

Or..

Just head over to Finch Farm. But I'd really suggest getting the Holotape.. which is literately it's name.. Holotape. It makes mooing more immooosive. 😜

Out of curiosity if I was somehow able to have supermutans as settlers could they function as a farm hand or the bull?

did a test

Settlers of the Commonwealth has Hoss (Super Mutant at Jalbert Disposal)

so i recruited Hoss to Sanctuary and he has limited settler functions normally.

both tests were with Hoss from a save made before trying anything with him.

test 1 - tried to make him a bull = does not work right, he says the right things but just stands there and does not move around or start sex.

test 2 - gave him a farmers bucket and that part worked right (as far as i could tell).

some may work, some may partially work, and some will not work at all.

it is going to be a trial and error proecess.  it will depend on what mod add them (other than strong which i did not go get to test).

personally i do not get many supermutant settlers so i just use them as provisioners to places like Spectacle Island,  places where they have to travel

either through water or high radiation areas so my "regular" provisioners do not die from radiation, and i do not like the Automatron DLC so rarely play

it at all so needed another option for water/radiated areas other than robots.

Yes, that is possible.  I will take a look at it this week.  I probably can exclude hucows from becoming the settlement speaker or boss.  The problem then would be if you have a settlement with no settlers other than hucows.

V1.12

Fairly often, when I talk to a HuCow, at the end of the conversation I am not able to talk to her again - or any other NPC.

Not a severe problem - or I would have mentioned it sooner.

Saving the game and immediately reloading fixes it.

It is possible but you cannot use the syringes to turn the supermutant into a cow.  It might be possible at the exam table although the supermutant might stand beside the table instead of laying on it.  You also have to disable crawling in the MCM.

Check the terminals on the upper floors at Med-Tek.  There is no green objective icon to pinpoint which terminal.  You have to check them to find out which one has data from the hucow experiments.

I will check it in playtesting tomorrow.  I don't think that I changed anything in the last three or four updates for the regular hucow dialogue.

I guarantee the mod works fine with Ivy.

And Heather, for that matter. Always run with both.

(Well let me qualify that. Heather gets aggro on Bulls, and tends to wipe out the settlement. All in bleedout.)

I wonder if Heather does not take on the player's faction when she is a companion.  I will have to see what faction she uses so I can make it friendly with hucows.

Can you screenshot the options that are stuck?

The terminal was already complete in the very first beta upload.  It hasn't been changed since.

Fred, it looks like Heather has her very own faction.  I'll update Human Cattle to support her faction to make it friendly to hucows.
