Same issue here, the guys suggested what you did as a way to solve the issue but it didn't work for me either. I ended up removing the mod, making a clean save then reloading it and starting from the second part (summon him using the spell in Riften's Hall of dead). I think you'd be fine doing so as you haven't done the jarl quests yet

Does anyone have any idea how I can complete the quest without losing all my quest items? thanks in advance There are actually 3 chests where PC items can be stored in this mod. 1) The chest downstairs in the Thalmor HQ in Solitude - This is where the PC can choose to store their items (through dialogue with a Thalmor guard) before leaving the HQ. 2) A chest upstairs in the Thamor guard barracks at the Embassy (the building to the left of where you enter the Embassy grounds - This is where the PC's items are stored if they show up to the Embassy with any items. 3) The chest across from the cells in the Embassy dungeon - This would only have things the PC picked up while inside the Embassy. To answer your question, using the dialogue in the Thalmor HQ in Solitude to store your items before leaving the HQ should work.

So, you have the Summon Balazar spell but it doesn't work? Not sure why, but if you get him back with console commands, you'll need to set the following global variable to get him to follow you: set BLZR_Following to 1 1

But now the Riften quest is stuck, i've just walked into the warehouse for the party and that part shows as complete. However, none of the npcs there are doing anything, nor is the quest progressing to the next part. Would you have the setstage command to move to the next part or something?
Dumuzi Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 Just did another playthrough of the mod, and for the most part, quest wise, everything went well. There were a few instances of things not triggering when they should, but it pretty much just took reloading the last save and trying it again, at which point it proceeded fine. My only real issue with with Balazar is as a follower in general, outside of the quests. I get that he is running way too many of his own scripts to be able to use with a follower framework. And I was fine doing all of his quests with only him as a follower to avoid issues. At the end of it though, my only choices are to continue to run with only him, or have to deal with constant friendly fire issues if I decide to add other followers to the party. Also the fact that even though a number of different creatures are not aggressive to my character (One with Nature mod), he will still attack them first on sight. I get that it's a quest mod more than it's a follower mod. At this point though I guess i'll have to let him go and find another male Dremora follower that can work with NFF to fill his niche. I don't expect there's anything that can be done about it, just felt the need to get that out. Still an awesome quest mod though.

The next couple of stages are 115, 120, 125, 130. You could start with 'setstage BLZR_Riften 115' and advance the stages until it works.

Balazar is currently set as "Aggressive", which means he will attack anything the game decides is an "enemy" (e.g., opposing faction). I could tone him down one level to "Unaggressive", but that doesn't fit his character well. (In dog form, he is "Unaggressive" already.) 1

It should try to rape you. You could try 'setstage BLZR_Riften 60' but that will skip the first of two sex scenes. Do you have werewolf animations installed and enabled?

I would just consider it to be for the same reason he doesn't attack people in cities. It doesn't further his overall goals, and he has the discipline to refrain. It's your vision though, I'm just content to partake, even if I can't have him along for a full playthrough.

There are Falkreath Hold, Hjaalmarch, The Pale, Whiterun Hold, and Winterhold. One of them, but there is currently no plan as to which one will be in the next update.

I've read to get them back I have to enter the barracks, but the doors are locked. I checked them ervery stage of the Quest if it was possible. So I cannot find any way to go in there. Going back to Thalmor headquarter to store the IItems is not possible either because the Thalmor in the HQ are killing aech other when I enter. So the guard with the store-dialogoption dies. Is there any possibility to do the quest and get my things back?
Mozny Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 (edited) I'm sort of at my wit's end with this issue. I cannot get the dragon scene in Dragonsreach to work. It always crashes the moment it tries to initiate the scene. (I did manage to progress by disabling the dragon, proceeding with dialogue, and then re-enabling the dragon, thus skipping the whole scene entirely). I've looked around with xEdit, did some editing, tried keywords, I simply cannot pin down the issue. My current guess is that it's something to do with my sexlab p+ but can't figure out a fix for it. Anyone have any clues? (In the meanwhile I will advance the quest with this scene skipped, but I think this should be addressed) crash-2025-12-14-18-18-49.lo Worth mentioning after doing some more searching on SLP+ and the discord of the creator, people are saying OAR might have something to do with this? Will investigate and report back here. Decided this was not worth the effort so i simply continued playing and just skipping the dragon. The questline has not crashed at all after that. EDIT: Had another crash with Sylgja upon entering her house. I think this issue is linked to the animations not existing? The crashes are consistent when trying to load only those two animations (Dragon, Fox). Final edit: It was SLP+. It fails to load SLSB BillyCreaturesMisc which contains these creatures. I just advanced the questline via commands run "save funclist 1", this will open notepad, search for Balazar's Revenge and get the questid (first column) sqs QUESTID -- This will show you your current status in the quest setstage QUESTID Stage# -- I think the number was 220? for that specific stage. But do check with sqs

Yes, so your other option for finding the quest ID would be to try "sqt" (short for "showquesttargets"). In that list you should see all your current active quests, find Balazar's Revenge and then you can proceed with the other two steps i wrote down.

You can check with sqv BLZR_Dialogue, which will tell you the stage.

Is there any possibility to do the quest and get my things back? The door to the Thalmor Embassy barracks is unlocked when you get the quest objective to travel to the Embassy. If for some reason it's locked, you can always open the console, click on the door, and type "unlock".

Spoiler To get to the door to the temple, go to the back of the mine, enter the top level on the right, and then circle back around to the left. The door is near the end of that path.
