For some reason, I just today saw this (9 months after it was posted.) I totally agree with this sentiment. Warts and all, it's the best available.

Hi i have one question: I use pahe+homesweethome with this mod, so with homesweethome my slave can get the necessary stats to prostitute by themselves, but is there a way to skip/turn off the "need 10 customer before they can do it by themselves" thing? I personally find that after the first 2 slave, it got boring and time consuming to be manually pimping them out.

There is a global variable you can set via the console or change using TES5Edit if you want. I don't remember the name of it without looking but it was fairly obvious for some reason.

Can you show me how to that using console( sorry but i haven't touch this aspect of console command before so i have no idea of how to this)

I can give you rough pointers, other guides on using the console would have pictures.

 

What you could start with is using "help _bb_" (and I'm going from memory here, but I think BB was a variable name the original author TDF  used to make his names unique.  At the end of the list will be a 1, 2, 3, 4 section telling you which are variables, functions, quests and other (also if memory serves).  Retry the command as "help _bb_ 4" (or whichever comes up for variables, or more likely globals, I forget which name they use.  Scan through the list and I think it will list the value of each, if not you'll need to type "help variablename" and see what it comes up with.  You're looking for one with a value of 10, of course. When you find what you need, type "set variablename to 2" or whatever number you pick.

 

Anything more detailed than what my memory has would take an hour of loading the game and poking around, or doing a search I don't have the energy to do right now.

Thanks, I'll switch from SexLab WorkingGirl to this mod, it seems to have more features. I'll only miss the HorribleHarrassement extension that happens when client refuses to pay.

I had a reason to look at changing something else in the mod for my own use and double checked what I said about your question. Turns out I remembered it wrong and there was not a variable you can change, but a dialog condition.

 

You would have to use the CK or TES Edit and find the dialog for "You've been doing some good work for me" and find the condition that requires a faction rank of 10 in the Experience faction.

Do you happen to remember the lead-in dialog for dancing with an NPC, and what the conditions are (if any) for it to appear? I've been using this mod off and on since The Finger was Wet (TWF Prostitution? :classic_biggrin: ) and I've never seen an option to ask anyone to dance.

I don't think there are any conditions beyond recruiting the NPC to work for you. The line was something like "Why don't  you dance for some cash?"

 

I have made a variety of edits to my copy though so I might have removed the conditions and changed the dialog, but I think I didn't modify that.

Aha! So we're talking about two different things. I'm very familiar with the "Why don't  you dance for some cash?" dialog- it leads only to the NPC dancing solo, by herself, not dancing with the player or anyone else.

 

Since English may not be your first language, here is what "dancing with (someone)" means in English:

Nah, English isn't my first language, I'm American. :D

 

Moreso it is reading without enough attention paid to the words and inferring something you're not. I only know of the solo dances in this mod, so any mention of dancing and that's what I thought you were asking.  I suppose there are paired animations that would be dances, but from what I understand, that would be something a little tricky to do, making all of the various points match up... not to mention heights, arm and leg lengths, etc.

Well, yes and no.

Taken by itself, without context, the phrase "ask (someone) to dance" is ambiguous and can be interpreted two ways- dance as a couple or solo.

  • In any context: "Hey, you should ask that girl to dance with you!" (explicitly stated "with you" indicating the two of you should dance as a paired couple)
  • In a strip club: "Hey, you should ask that girl to dance!" (implied: solo dance, by herself, since strippers do not normally dance with clients)
  • In a bordello: "Hey, you should ask that girl to dance!" (implied: she will dance with you as a couple since that is the norm to raise desire in many bordellos)
  • At your High School Prom, or a wedding, or in a bar or club: "Hey, you should ask that girl to dance!" (implied: she will dance with you as a couple)

So unless you are in a strip club, "ask (someone) to dance" generally implies "with you." And saying it should be obvious that you meant solo dance because that's the only kind of dancing currently available in TDFPP is not even true: you can add up to 2 "Player Dances" to TDFPP- so just because it doesn't have any paired dances today doesn't mean it can't have any tomorrow, which is what the OP seemed to be asking about.

 

In the instant case, the exact question was "make the follower/NPC dance like with the PC." This is unambiguous and specifically analogous to the first case above: the OP is asking about getting an NPC to dance with the player. I sense that English may not be the OP's first language, and so s/he may not have meant a couples dance, but that is what the words s/he actually posted actually mean in English. On either side of the pond.

I paid strict attention to "the words" and didn't infer anything: the OP specifically asked about getting an NPC to dance with the player. So while accusing someone (me) of inferring something that was not valid into your statement is one way of interpreting this cluster-fuck of misstatement and backpedaling, it is not accurate- taken within the context of the original question to which you responded, that question and your response were both clearly indicative of a paired couple dance, whether the OP or you intended it or not.

 

PS: I am American too. Words still mean things, even among us unwashed rebels. I have no argument with you, but please, try to see the words you wrote as someone who has no way of knowing what you actually intended to write would have to interpret them and stop accusing me of "inferring something you're not" (which is kind of weird- how can I infer something I'm not inferring?) :classic_wacko:

I took that to mean that someone was asking if the player could make the NPC dance similar to how the player can make the PC dance. With your explanation I can see you did not understand the question the same way. If @boita responds further we will find out if I was accidentally correct or you were grammatically correct.

 

This won't be the first time I'll be wrong by not reading something carefully, and since I tend to read these boards later in my day when I'm tired, it also likely won't be the last.

I'm also needing permission for the Google Drive Links. Since I read that this was abandoned, getting permission from the author would be near impossible, right? Idk if the Blue Aura fix better or if it's just a patch.

 

Edit: It's so I can use Paradise Halls even though I'm not entirely sure if I have to build Lakeview First. I was gonna use Underground Bathhouse but it's missing a folder for whatever reason when I download it.

the tdf patch in pahe is an optional addon and no you don't need to build lakeview first either.

I'm using an SSE version thats been converted with all the add ons and due to the requirements it needs the TDF patch. Even if I don't really plan to use any of it. Thats why I linked the mod page

 

Edit: would this mod also affect Underground Bathhouse and Paradise Valley by Andragon? That'll help me pick one if needed since they both have jail cells I can use.

@karlpaws got it right, as I was asking if the NPC can dance the same as if it was the PC. English isn't my mothertongue so maybe my grammar isn't perfect, specially when I'm tired.

Me either, especially when wine is involved. ? I'm a bit disappointed, actually, because it would be so great to find a way to dance with someone as a couple, and when I read your response, I thought you had found a way to do it. :classic_unsure:

Thanks for confirming it. And your English is fine- it's a strange language if you aren't born to it, because so much idomatic speech depends on context and can be taken differently than one intended.

 

If I were to offer a tip, I would have phrased your original question slightly differently, which would have removed all misunderstanding:

 

"Can you make the pimpin follower/NPC dance like with as you can the PC ?"  ♥️
