Ed86 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Hmm, five days after a major revision, and scarcely any bug reports! That's a bit unexpected. okay then, if you want it, there is a bug, when you start game or switch race with race menu from vanilla to succubus race, you are not recognized as "natural" succubus, well at least for me it wasn't, until i did clean save with save tool, i guess it only works if instilled mid-game
stobor Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 Hmm. Works for me. Here is the code in question (called when starting a new game, or loading from a save): if ( AngrimPlayerIsSuccubus.Value == 0 ) ;; Check if the player is an actual succubus, and apply the effects automatically: String raceName = Game.GetPlayer().GetRace().GetName() Debug.Trace( "[Angrim] player race is " + raceName ) if ( raceName == "Succubus" ) Debug.Trace( "[Angrim] Starting succubus effect" ) AngrimPlayerIsSuccubus.Value = 1 GiveCurse() endIf endIf It might get temporarily out of sync, if you changed character race after it had run (the main quest is start-game-enabled). But it should correct itself on the next game load. Check your logs for those debug trace messages.
Guest Long John Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 @stobor - Could we please have a cover screenshot (and/or a few other screenshots)?

stobor Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 No, a global's 'Value' property is read-write accessible, even without the methods. I use this all the time. Mostly, I'm wondering if something's gone wrong with the OnPlayerLoadGame() event, preventing this from being refreshed on a new load; you'll note that the "[Angrim] player race is..." message should show even if the global is zero.
Guest Long John Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 @stobor - We are now up to Devious Devices - Integrated 2.9.0 and Devious Devices - Assets 2.9.0 with it having been released. For this new version they have dropped UNPB support and replaced it with UNP support. If you use anything which is non-standard Devious Devices from the older 2.8.3 version then it may use UNPB which has been replaced by UNP. So clipping may occur which can be fixed by an update.
stobor Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 Nope. Already tested with 2.9.0 pre-release. No problems that I know of.
stobor Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 @Ed86: Found a bug that could be the source of your problem - a typo in the event name that was supposed to call the maintenance function on load game. So good catch, there's a real bug lurking there, and I hadn't noticed because usually the quest's OnInit event handles this before the bug has a chance to do any harm.
WaterRabbit Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Then you have a bug with another mod, because this mod doesn't alter the guards dialogue at all. It sets the bounty, and that's it. Not saying this is your mod, but I get the exact same behavior. It only started after I started interacting with Angrim. It also only seems to affect Whiterun guards with the 200 gold bounty. Just something to note.
WaterRabbit Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I followed Daedric Dallance to Yngvill. I get hit by a ghost and transported to Arondil. He just repeats the same three lines over and over, but nothing happens. I just updated to the latest DD suite, but I don't have any devices on the character. Ashra XIII Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 When I got to Arondil, I was wearing the Slave Collar from DD Cursed Loot... he was too intent on having his way with my character to turn her into a ghost! After he finished, I had control of my girl and attacked, which then prompted the other ghosts to join in on my side, so I defeated him without ever being 'killed'. I just took it as my char was too sexy for Arondil, impairing his judgement. I did try re-loading and actually talking to him after he sexed my char, and he did then turn her into a ghost as he's supposed to, so nothing broke.
stobor Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Heh. Mod interactions can be pretty hard to predict.
acac Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Hi, I was wondering if I could have some early help. =) So, Argrim told me to go to Debella's place for training. I went there, and the priest told me to help out one of two people (farm guy, and some guy in rorikstad). I helped out the farm guy, and checked in the quest to the debella priest. Then, I went back to Argrim, and he still says I should go to debella's temple.Am I missing something? Thanks!
Ashra XIII Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I always wondered if Angrim could actually detect whether I followed his advice, or if it was good fortune that he had something else to say by the time I came back to him. In the end, I think you just need to not ask him to teach you at that stage of the quest... instead, keep asking him to refresh that first spell he casts on you, and eventually he says, "Oh I have something even more fun!" and you move on to the next stage.
stobor Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Angrim can detect if you have practiced the spell you learned from the priestess of Dibella. Prime it and use it at least 3 times, and he will recognize that you have some small talent for the Carnal Arcana and you move on to the "Oh I have something even more fun" stage directly. The same goes for learning (and practicing) 'Drink Soul' before actually becoming an apprentice. I should probably have Angrim comment on the need for practice though, and stop talking about the Dibellans, if you've already done that bit. Noted for next update.
karlpaws Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Probably dumb question, but can you head right to Rannveig's fast, or do you need to wait and get other spells first? Or did I mis-read something and I need to kill Sild like normal, and not expect him to catch me in some quest related way?
stobor Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 If you've got the quest, you can head direct to Rannveig's Fast... but for most characters (non-Succubi) this will prevent the Dremora from the Dalliance quest from giving you any spells. She only gives the full benefit to characters with the Succubus Curse, so it is usually better to wait. As to the other, you misread: you can kill him as normal, if you want to skip the extra content. That doesn't mean you should.
justbob2 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I was doing the Daedric Dalliance quest at Yngvild, and got thru to the final chamber where Arondil was. I made a save before attacking. First, I was defeated and turned into a ghost. When I finally got a hold of the soul gem, the other ghost helped me kill him, but I stayed a ghost. When I went back to Angrim, he rejected me because I was a spirit. I then started the battle over, lost again, got ghosted again, but this time managed to get the gem while I looked normal just after Arondil "sexed" me. But, even though I left looking alive and well, Angrim still told me I was a spirit and he couldn't use me. (I found out why when I rested and turned back into a ghost!) So, is the only way to continue training with Angrim to win the battle without getting ghosted at all? Or is this a bug?
stobor Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 The Hungry Ghost is one of the 'ending' states of the mod, not a bug. Used to be an alternate ending to the last stage of Angrim's own dialogue, but that was always a bit of an abrupt transition. It fits a lot better with Rannveig or Yngvild.
karlpaws Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Ok.. not sure what I broke, but the collar and the belt do not show up in my game. I do have the DD mods installed and in the right order, and Angrim offers to teach me the spell, and I do learn the spell (after having done Sanquine's quest chain). The PC does kneel when I think he put the collar on, and the sex scene commenced, but the collar never visually appeared on the character or in inventory. Thoughts/suggestions?

So it is a designed "bad end" to the Angrim quest, that still allows you to keep playing the game with a notable handicap. Does the spirit mode provide any advantages or buffs? Your "Sneak" skill should be improved at least, I would think.
stobor Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Substantial armor buff (but weaker to magic) in that form. Automatic priming of a fear power (Ghastly Dread, if I recall correctly) when having sex. Vigilants will be automatically hostile in spirit form, however.
stobor Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 ... The PC does kneel when I think he put the collar on, and the sex scene commenced, but the collar never visually appeared on the character or in inventory. Thoughts/suggestions? No idea, unless the character's wearing a conflicting item that you've neglected to mention. Without a Papyrus log, there's not much I can do to diagnose it.
