stobor Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 @kernins: That's not a problem I've seen before, and I rather doubt that it is caused by this mod. The only thing that occurs to me is that this might be a symptom of the known bug in DD 2.6.4 (see the big red text in one of Min's postings yesterday). If that is the case, there's no recovering from it once it happens; you need to back off to a prior save and take preventive steps as noted in the Devious Devices Integration thread. The main thing that leads me to suspect that bug is the sheer number of 'zad' scripts in your stack dump. But it might be some unknown mod conflict instead. In which case, there's not a lot I can do for you.
stobor Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 That'd be a missing facetint file. But I could've sworn I remembered to pack those in the BSA... and browsing it now, they are present. Anyone else seeing face/body mismatches on Dremora? It tends to be really obvious, when it happens. Yes, me. If I use 4UDiks and if I use SOS light as well. With SOS light there is also a problem with UV maps on the feet. Hmm, I wonder if those mods just don't support Dremora bodies properly. If that's the cause, there's nothing I can do about it.
kernins Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 @stobor, thanks for pointing me in right direction, the issue was definitely caused by DD. All my saves from lvl 5 and up seem to be screwed up with even DD's MCM menu not working. Tried earlier one, and things with Angrim went as they should
ebonhawke Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 That'd be a missing facetint file. But I could've sworn I remembered to pack those in the BSA... and browsing it now, they are present. Anyone else seeing face/body mismatches on Dremora? It tends to be really obvious, when it happens. I have the same tint problem with the dremora. The head seems fine but the body is all black as in 000000 black. Speaking of the dremora, I obtained the soaked book and received the visitor but ended up with a CTD. I was in the inn at Whiterun and had slept 8 hours. The dremora appeared when I woke up, initiated sex, the quest completed but it then entered some kind of loop, initiating sex over and over. When I moved away from the dremora and tried to leave the inn, CTD. I had to go back to my autosave where I exited the dungeon. Any ideas on how the dremora can get into a loop? Thanks
stobor Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 A true black body, with a normal (darkish grey) head is a different problem, and not one I've ever seen. Most likely, some other mod is messing with Dremora body textures. This mod just uses the vanilla game textures. CTD on autosave (e.g. when leaving the building) is most likely due to the known bug where using the TFC (free camera), either via SexLab or the console, can break your game. The dremora should repeat 3 times. No more, no less.

Thanks As I read this I recalled that the face was correctly grey. The body was extremely dark brown or black. I have no CTD issue though.
MonaBabii Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 @stobor: I started a new game to avoid any more issues with things lol (hopefully). Is there any advice/command/trick you can give me to test things? like... I would really love to know if things are still messed up/conflicting now rather than 12 levels down the line Just asking because you provided me with the command to check the quest stage once, maybe there's another command to just test things, maybe sex triggered by -him-, or something to summon an emissary, or something of the sort. If there isn't well, that's fine too I guess I'll find out eventually lol.
OlBenny Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I too have seen the Dremora grey face body mismatch (Angrim himself also had a similar mismatch in my game), but it's really easy to fix. This YouTube video provides instructions as to how to fix this sort of issue if you're encountering it in your game. Cheers!
FlyingLemon Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I've got my char stuck at undressing anim when Angrim tries to put collar on her for the first time. Right after selecting "agree" option, my char undresses and stuck playing anim over and over, and Angrim seem to return to its backgroung AI, i.e sitting/sleeping/etc. All quest related lines disappears from his dialog after that. It's not always there, other time I see no errors at all in logs, but issue is 100% reproducible on my current game and earlier saves. I've got SL 1.35, latest DD (assets and integration with quests), CapturedDreams, DeviousRegulations and SD+ Can you check if the mcm menu for Devious Devices is working in your game save? I've had this problem before, and it related to mod failure in Devious Devices.
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 @piolski: kernins already confirmed above that this was in fact the known failure in Devious Devices.
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 I too have seen the Dremora grey face body mismatch (Angrim himself also had a similar mismatch in my game), but it's really easy to fix. This YouTube video provides instructions as to how to fix this sort of issue if you're encountering it in your game. Cheers! Do you have this issue still, with the current version? Because I did the fix weeks ago, and included the facetint files in the BSA.
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 @stobor: I started a new game to avoid any more issues with things lol (hopefully). If there isn't well, that's fine too I guess I'll find out eventually lol. Make a save at some appropriately early point, e.g. right after sleeping in the bed for Alternate Start. Then go visit Angrim by teleportation, and test out whatever you need to - for example: coc angrimslair help "summon emissary" ... note the spell ID ... player.addspell ID player.modav magicka 200 When you're done testing for obvious malfunctions, just reload your prior save, and play normally.
MonaBabii Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Thanks! Will do! At this point I'm a tad little further past the "just slept in the bed", but I'm still level 0 or 1 whatever the default is lol. It's been mostly a case of paying my debt to society after being caught in Whiterun . Then spend not sure how long writing my journal with that new journal mod. 5 full pages of 4000 characters each so far just describing my first night in the dungeon xD Anyway, I'll report back if anything goes fatally wrong
MonaBabii Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Ugh So... I did -coc angrimslair-. Unlocked his chest via console, took the summon spell, learned it, casted it. As soon as the emissary appears (not instantly, more like... I assume just when the sex is about to begin [though doesn't even get to the undressing animations]) the game CTDs. Also he seemed to have a white face as well. I don't know what the hell What still confuses the living crap out of me is that everything works fine. Started over, even mods that required a new game started working/working properly after I started over. With this one it doesn't seem to have made -any- difference whatsoever Mind you the first time I tried this mod was -also- a new game >_< Is there a special place the mod needs to be in the load order or something? At this point I would have given up but, I don't want to D: The mod has a ton of potential, and if anything I want to help you clear out weird things with it, even more so since I'm playing in a new game... but it seems no matter what I do the mod gives me a hard time every time D: Edit: Same thing happens with the Emissary outside Angrim's basement; I can summon him and indeed start the sex scene, but the scene starts a good 50 meters up in the air (I casted him right outside the basement, next to the trapdoor). I'm assuming it's the same thing as taking a follower to his basement and having Angrim trigger a scene. Also confirmed that his face is still white/grey, and his body is black/deep purple.
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 And are you still running a patched SexLab, vs. a full download? And do you still have the same log messages? I'm not particularly good at diagnosing bugs telepathically, and so far you're the only one with this CTD symptom.
MonaBabii Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 No this new game I actually went and placed the full SexLab file. Sorry, I'll post a new log file (though I'm gonna guess the error lines are probably going to be pretty similar, as it's the exact same stuff causing the CTDs. That's why I didn't post one). Brb. Okay so... something weird just happened... I did the exact same steps from above, but this time when summoning the emissary in the basement didn't CTD my game O.o However after having sex with the emissary 3 times, I went outside and the same thing happened; scene started 50 meters in the air, and then I quit before I actually made it to the ground, which would have killed me lol. Also worth mentioning I waited for about 1 minute before summoning him to make sure everything loads as it should for the log. New log: PapyrusNEWODD.0.rar P.S.: His face is still mismatching colors. I also noticed that Angrim himself... his face doesn't match the body (and I believe the feet as well? couldn't tell this time). Could that be SOS's doing? Edit: Sorry if I sounded a bit frustrated up there. I -am- frustrated lol, but I'm guessing this is also pretty frustrating for you as well. Sorry about that D:
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 You still have the same errors out of sslActorLibrary; your ESM file and the compiled PEX file for sslActorLibrary do not agree with each other. [01/08/2014 - 06:09:17AM] warning: Property Stats on script sslactorlibrary attached to SexLabQuestActorSlots (0D03CE6B) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property and a bunch of later errors from SexLab calls made by SOS, SLA, and Angrim all connected to the sslActorLibrary module. Check the datestamp and exact file size of these files (Windows - right click, select Properties). Here's what I see: SexLab.esm: 96231 bytes ( 98304 bytes on disk ) (found in Data) sslActorLibrary.pex: 23651 bytes ( 24576 on disk ) (found in Data/Scripts) If they were in fact installed at the same time, their datestamps should agree. --- As for the face tint issue, that may be related to SOS (that's one theory). But that's definitely not proven.
MonaBabii Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 The size of both those files is exactly those values for me as well :/ Edit: Dates match perfectly as well. I guess a good question to ask would be... what -exactly- happens when that error you see there occurs? Like, I know I'm having issues with your mod, but I would figure that I'd be experiencing weird issues and CTDs with other mods as well no? Or is your mod the only mod to use that file? If it's not the only mod to use it, what other kinds of mods -would- use it?
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Then I'm stumped. As far as I can tell, the quest that's complaining is supplied by that ESM, and the complaints are legit (those properties don't exist in the current script source for sslActorLibrary). You and I allegedly have the same version, yet you have these serious errors and I don't. That should not be possible.
MonaBabii Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Could it be SOS messing things up at all? like not just the face tints, but these "quests" as well? Are -you- using SOS? Maybe because I'm not using the Succubus race, or a dress, or something lol I don't know, throwing everything at the wall see if anything sticks >_<
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 I am not using SOS. But as I said, the quest in question is contained in SexLab.esm (i.e. core SexLab). SOS would have no business modifying it, and even if it had done so I don't think it would be likely to leave the file size/date unchanged. Of course, it is possible that the CTD is caused by something else entirely. Crashes don't leave tidy traces in the log. But the simplest, and most likely, explanation is that all those errors with bad references to 'None' (i.e. uninitialized variables) are also the cause of the crash. Teleporting to mid-air near that location corresponds to the (0,0,0) origin point in Skyrims coordinate system, I believe, which is something I'd expect when trying to center an animation on a 'None' object. The only other CTD symptom that people have been seeing a lot of is crash-on-save after using the TFC (free camera) mode.
MonaBabii Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 It is worth mentioning though that, again that new log I posted, that session I didn't actually crash when I summoned the emissary. Sex scenes (all 3 of them started just fine), but the play-session just before that, the one I didn't have logs enabled did crash. The only wrong thing with the session from that log is the sex scene starting way high up in the air when summoning the emissary outside the basement, next to the trapdoor, and the face tints. But oh well I'm sorry. I don't know what to try anymore. I'll leave the mod installed in the hopes that maybe a future update automagically fixes my mysterious issues, just as automagically as they appear to occur lol, and also test new things added, although I'll probably not be the best one for that particular job x_x
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 One thing that my mod does that most SexLab mods don't, is to center the animations (in the basement) on a preselected marker on the floor (rather than on one of the actors). But the calls with errors are not connected to that. Also, you're getting errors out of SOS and SLA SexLab calls as well as mine; those may be causing invisible problems, even if they aren't responsible for the CTD.
mfbean Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 question pls I understand that healing magic is disable but why magical enhancement on some armor is also set to 0 is this a bug
stobor Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 question pls I understand that healing magic is disable but why magical enhancement on some armor is also set to 0 is this a bug It is a bug. I tested this on a variety of enchanted items from the vanilla game, and their restoration-based enchantments (e.g. Fortify Health) all worked fine. But I've got a few custom enchanted items, and their buffs are getting nerfed. I'll need to figure out a way to make this work for spells, without also affecting enchantments. EDIT: Fixed in v1.21.
