Min, what does DD check when polling devices on NPCs, and/or using the Devious xxx, sustained spells?

 

The spells and random polls work fine on my traditional followers, but I run my game with some customized scripts in Better Vampires. I have a feeling I might be able to make the belts poll properly on random people that I turn into vampires, but I need a complete list of the checks, or an idea of where to find it. As of now, only the development trigger spell works on my random vampire people.

The sustained spells are a "MagicEffectHasKeyword" check, and are buggy due to a bug with NPC's in general.

The event polling conditions can be found in the zadNPCSlots quest (or some such). Can't check right now.

 

can some one post the item id's of the items you have to get for zed qeust..?

Type the following in console:

sqv zaddForbiddenTomeQuest

Listed should be three variables named ItemToFetch1/2/3

player.additem ######## where ######## is the id returned by the aforementioned command.

Can't seem to DD-Integration to register on the MCM. Did a quick search in the topic, but either I'm blind or it's not in here. I have the latest everything as of today. Other DD-related mods aren't getting added either, which makes me wonder if DD-Integration isn't working, which is odd, as it's a brand new game... Any ideas?

Post a copy of your Papyrus.0.log, in which the menu fails to load.

To update, just copy/paste over existing files. It should be safe to continue the same save-game. After installing, save/reload your game to initialize the events engine.

 

If you want the new bound Armbinder animation replacement to work, you will need to register them through the Zaz Animation MCM menu.

 

New version is up: 2.7.6:

  • New device effect: Leash Plugs (Thanks Srende). These plugs will penalize the wearer strongly for straying from their master without his permission.
  • Added a version check to verify that the user is running the proper Assets version.
  • Added an incremental difficulty option. Will not apply if player has the correct key in their inventory, or if the device does not require a key.
  • Rebuilt the periodic events system, to now be modder extendible.
  • New Event: Wet Padding
  • New Event: Armbinder Struggle
  • New Event: Blindfold Trip
  • New Event: Belted Empty
  • New Event: Armor + cuffs
  • Added a number of new default mod events.
  • All mod events are now configurable in the MCM, whether registered by DD, or a third-party mod (Such as Deviously Helpless).
  • The armbinder now contains SexLabNoStrip.
  • A number of Bound Animations from ZAP will now be played if an actor is bound: These weren't designed for the armbinder, so there is some clipping. An MCM option is available to enable/disable this feature, if the clipping bothers you. Credit to Srende for the original filter, which was extended to create the current effect.
  • Added logic to check for bound animations on game load / mcm, and remove the armbinder temporarily during sex if necessary.
  • Fixed the SexlabMoan function to play gagged voice if gagged (Such as when the player struggles out of an armbinder).
  • Minorly refactored the animation filter to be more easily extensible, and more robust in the case of bound animations.
  • Disabled the now-dormant radiant-master / ss scripts initialization.
  • Fixed' the misordered masters.
  • Fixed free-camera being disabled while wearing a blindfold.
  • Several bugfixes (zadBeltedAnims slot error on load, etc).

Before anyone asks: No, there aren't craftable leash plugs. Those will be quest-only, and no quest are currently published that use them (though, I've heard rumors that several are in development!).

Something ate the majority of that sentence. Edited to read:

I'm getting "Error Text: Assets is undefined: you're probably running an out of date version of it. Please update." despite downloading and installing it five minutes ago to make sure it was current. I don't think it's actually causing any problems though.

 

EDIT: Oh hang on, there's nothing under "Polled Events Configuration" in the "Events and Effects" menu. Supposed to be like that or something not loading properly?

I'm getting "Error Text: Assets is undefined: you're probably running an out of date version of it. Please update." despite downloading and installing it five minutes ago to make sure it was current. I don't think it's actually causing any problems though.

 

EDIT: Oh hang on, there's nothing under "Polled Events Configuration" in the "Events and Effects" menu. Supposed to be like that or something not loading properly?

 

Update DD - Assets.

 

I could swear that I changed that message to read: "Assets is undefined: You're probably running an out of date version of it. Please update Devious Devices - Assets to the latest version." just prior to release.

I have no idea what you're saying.

 

I'm not too sure, but is the SD compatibility patch required for SD+ 2.0, or will DD actually conflict with SD+2.0?

The patch is still needed to fix an animation incompatibility.

I'm seeing the same problem.  My version of Assets is 2.75

(Devious Devices - Assests (v2.7.5) for CBBE.rar)

I did. Assets is at 2.7.5. I even installed it for a third time, and Integration's still giving me that version error on loading.

Disable all mods except for Assets + Integration (And their immediate requirements, of course). Reinstall assets, then integration. Start a new game. If you receive the same error, post a copy of your load order, and Papyrus.0.log. If you don't, re-enable your mods one at a time, to figure out where the conflict lies (If it is indeed a conflict).

Looks like it's Submit causing the problem, or rather, Submit Progression. Not really surprised by that, as it seemed to screw with the DD Assets version last time it was updated (I updated to Assets 2.7.5, then installed the latest Progression, message on game-load said Assets version 2.7.4 when it initialized).

I took a peek at Submit + Progression in tes5edit (I don't use that particular mod myself) and it looks to have quite a few (dirty?) edits in zadQuest (probably causing the problem, if it is indeed with that mod). I've notified the author.

I'm getting entries in the Polled Events Configuration in a fresh game, but not in a saved game, even after disabling, cleaning and reinstalling Assets and Integration. Submit is still disabled at this point.

Save your game after installing Integration and reload that save.

Indeed: DD will not complete a registration of it's Sexlab animations, or it's events until a save is loaded. I'll update the install instructions to note that (And the FAQ for that matter).

Heh, decided to try that seconds before seeing these two posts while waiting for Skyrim to load. All looks good now. Gonna see if things actually work now with Submit, just because I can.

 

EDIT: And no more version error on load now. Gonna see if anything breaks.
