Any ideas on what jacket this is?

It looks like the jacket from Hotpants Bikini but the texture is more rough, more leathery.  A retext, perhaps? A trick of the EMB?

I know the bots are vanilla+Cabal retex and the gloves are Triss. Any idea about the rest? Especially the pants.

Pants look like the ones from the Northgirl Armor with the thigh-straps from the Osare Culort armor. I imagine the fuzz about the shoulders and head are also from the Northgirl armor, though it looks a little darker. Corset might be from the Misfit Mage with the breast section removed.

 

That's all guesses, though.

clethcleth doesn't release her mods. If you read the comments on her images you will see her say as much. These are her personal mashups and retextures and you're not likely to see them released.

No, I don't release mods. Sorry to disappoint you. Anka is a close friend, but the pants are from Ashara, the leather retexture is privat stuff. The corset is from "Bouncy Bodices and Booties for UNPB and UNP also BBP BBPx 7B by dikr" and jep, I removed the breast section.

 

Had to revise the meshes because there were a lot of clippings! All retextures made by myself.

 

Would it hurt you to upload them to someone who asks for them here? I personally I have no interest in them but I don't understand this principle of not sharing anything. I can understand if someone doesn't want to share their character's face, because that's personal, but the rest is just material stuff. I almost start to think people do this just to feel important, when others ask about it and you can deny them.

There are three reasons why I don't release mods.

 

First, I'm employed and have little free time. I would not have the time to take care of a mod (questions, troubleshouting, updates etc.). I don't mod for recognition - just for relaxing after stressful working days.

Secondly, I have seen on Anka's page (NorthGirl) that you don't attract only "nice" people. This is also a wonderful platform for alls and stalkers!

And last I wanted an individual outfit for my char. As personal as her face.

 

I don't care if you think I'm arrogant or overbearing. I'm a total noob and work very hard on myself to learn modding. If you had invested all your free time in an outfit, you might think different.

I personally don't get mod makers who DO freely release their stuff to the public...even though there's the Nexus and several communities like this dedicated to the concept. Don't get it but I DO like it.

 

Especially big ones like SkyUI, Caliente or Ashal (sexlab guy). The ones that not only require an upload but maintenance and updates to the mod and constant question responses. It'd be very little fun and a pain in the butt I think. Given that its free as well...it's enough to make me wonder why anyone would bother.

 

I can see maybe using it to push for a job with Bethesda or any game company someday. But with so many modders out there the likelyhood of that drops with each new and more impressive mod out there as well.

Well, if the mod is private, just knowing the resources used (meshes, textures) is enough. I'm more looking for ideas to make my own, not copying the armor piece by piece. Mashup armors look amazing IMHO, every single one I've seen looked great. So thanks for listing the mods whose resources you used. Happy modding! ;)

Well, those people do it to feel they have they contributed with something big, which is a pleasure in itself and maybe they don't mind giving support? They also get recognition from the community. It's a kind of ego boost. I mean, if they already invested time into a mod, why not let others enjoy it too? If I made something worth releasing I wouldn't hesitate to do so, just to see how it will be received. The few small mods I have released were all pleasant experiences. The spirit of sharing is what these modding communities is all about. If no one shared their work because they are afraid of negative comments or that someone will rip it, these communities would be nothing but fancy picture galleries and shallow talk threads.

 

Of course everyone is free to have private mods, but those mods are best kept in secret and not shown in screenshots. Otherwise people will come ask about it and maybe get disappointed when they get a no.

Different motivation, I worked on my mod for a long time as a private work before I finally decided to release it publicly since it had so many features that people were looking for and none of them were being implemented except by me (at the time). Then I ended up adding a lot of features I didn't want for myself and yes providing a lot of support but I don't mind that so much because I find this to be a very congenial community. Yes, there are same bad people here but the vast majority here are actually some of the nicest people I have ever met online.

Seem to have some relation with CBBE as well.

You do realize that CHSBHC and CBBE are in fact that same thing, right? Like Eye Candy and HGEC in Oblivion, CHSBHC is just a variant of CBBE. So of course CHSBHC has SOME relation to CBBE, lol! :rolleyes:

The Fantasy Gauntlets from Alan's BBP armor pack for CBBE are equipable long fingernails. Craftable at forge under Glass Smithing.
