Looks like snow is the last issue. I used 'Simplicity of Snow' before to fix it but the mod isn't working with PBR (shader problem). 

Snow is fixed.

Now to the whitepainted objects aka the things BDS is supposed to fix.

 

I look forward to it.

Thats on hold. We're going 3.0 and the spreadsheet would be outdated before i finished it.

First time that BDS actually worked here. There are still some minor issues (some ground is imperfect also some chests and fences) but those will take time... 'Aka later'.

The removal of one Flora mod actually improved the visuals.

Shadows now actually work and caves can get really dark (now we have a use for all the torches and light spells).

Lighting on armors now differentiates between cloth, leather and metal (plus shadows).

Lightbeams are more visible, same as dust and the kind of window influences the light too.

Woods looks more real than before.

Update to 3.0

This is a big one. Allmost as big as the first switch from 2D to 3D. Too bad i won't be able to see your faces when you fire up this version for the first time... 😇

Note

Don't forget to (re)run 'Pandora', 'PRB', 'Bashed Patch' and 'DynDOLOD'. Thankfully we don't have to redo the 'Grass Cache'.

Also please check your installation of the 'Skyland AIO'. Wrong settings will break visuals.

Always remember the silver rule: When in doubt rerun 'Pandora' and 'PRB'.

Starting to add instructions. Done

Now to the ultimate test: DynDOLOD. (and i still hate it)

     👎Win11 doesn't open the browser to show errors in texgen and/or DynDOLOD.

New  version is outstanding... I'm also using a Reshade presset "Luminara - A ReShade Preset for NAT.CS III", and i'm still shocked at the difference from pre-PRB and also ENB.

I use "dark" for any lighting mod (a few in CS) vs default/bright, etc, so please take that into account.

 

But with the reshade, and the new PRB generation, it "finally" looks right.  Dark is dark.  Candles, torches, etc now actually do something useful.  Window light actually makes a huge difference.

 

Honestly, i'm gobsmacked on the difference.   The only issue i'm having is that the BnP Eyes don't look right.  Might have to switch my player to something else, but other than that, honestly, amazing...

 

Thank you very much for v3.0    It was definitely worth it.

It is still needed, CS can't use Parallax natively but we convert all Parallax textures and then they do work. And we need POM for some textures.

After several attempts to fix LotD issues in DynDOLOD I decided to remove it from my build here. There are now way too many incompatible mods interfering with LotD (according to DynDOLOD) that it is simply not worth the effort. Guess I'll have to get the 'East Empire Exxpansion' instead.

 

'Skyrim Landscape and Water Fixes' will be replaced by 'Vanilla Landscapes Corrections'. Better than the old mod and fixes some issues in the snowy areas. Next thing will be the fences and chests those look a bit 'off'.

One set is 'standard' textures, the other one for textures with PBR modifications.

1. Big pictures belong in spoilers.

2. This looks like broken meshes/textures. Recheck the 'Tree' group. Also, and that problem is Nexus famous for, check for broken downloads. You don't want to know how often I had to repeat some downloads.

 

The best way to check the files is by manually opening them in '7Zip'. If there's something wrong with the file you'll get an error message.

i'll check but i think i messed up with the PBR since the clothes also have this weird textures.

everything was normal before i tried the 3.0.

could be the load order or something. i'll keep trying

In the World - Quests section, there are two entries for the House of Horrors - Quest Expansion:

Both links lead to the same Nexus page, where there is only a single download available. Perhaps the USSEP entry is no longer needed?

 

Also, this link:

So as I have the time to take a second look at recent changes, I am ever curious:

 

1) Why is the Wind Ruler Armor removed?

 

2) Why did R.A.S.S. Rain Ash And Snow Shaders get removed?

 

3) Why Mists of Tamriel over Azurite Mists?

#1 vanished and I replaced the others. Good thing that CBBE and 3BA are interchangable.

 

 

@trgdolors

1. Couldn't change the haircolor and I didn't like it that much.

2. Overlap, problematic and redundant.

3. Compability with PBR.

Several hundred mouseclicks later...

 

A few mods cause problems (updated all mods i could find and got endless loading) they will be removed in a day or two.

All temples are incompatible with 'Gods and Worship'. It got its own temples and I might have to ditch 'Sisterhood of Dibella' too. A required patch would be massive and I doubt that any of the OA would put that much work into it.

On the plus side I could replace ~5-8 mods with one, have a religion system for all (D)aedra. new clothing and a new 'powers' system as well.
