Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded and installed Frame Generation. It says it is for monitors with 120FPS+ refresh rates. Unfortunately mine is limited to 60FPS. It does allow you to force it on in the settings in case you have a lower refresh rate monitor, so I did that. Unfortunately the result is that it halved the FPS I was getting.

 

Its installation instructions suggested to disable SSE Display Tweaks. I tried it with and without that mod, no difference. 

 

If my 120FPS monitor hadn't died this might have been a good solution.

Meanwhile, I don't think it's the fact that I created a mod for the shader cache to move it out of overwrite. If I have no shader cache, then one is built at startup, taking a long time. When I do have a shader cache mod, no cache is built on startup, so it is finding the cache from the mod. It's being placed in the MO2's virtual file system whether it comes from a mod folder or overwrite.

Couple of new things:

- Gods and Worship's MCM interferes with the CBBE 3BA MCM. Trying to access the latter brings up the former. Mod author is aware of the issue per Nexus posts. The only thing I use the CBBE 3BA MCM for is adding the "spells", which I'll just do in the console in the meantime.

- Windows Shadows Ultimate now has a new requirement - XEMI Utility

 

Things that may just be on my end:

- Tons of blackfaces with Imperial soldiers. New Legion armor overwrites Immortan faces, which is fucking bonkers why an armor mod wouldn't take any references to faces entirely.

Another thing about that Alt-tab mod I mentioned a couple of pages ago - When I used to alt-tab back to Skyrim, the game would not respond for 5 seconds or more. With that mod installed, alt-tab into the game is instantaneous. Didn't notice that at first or I would have mentioned it.

No black faces (or overwrites) here. There's nothing in the legion mods overwriting parts of faces.

Snowy rocks are fixed now (that was a chase... 4 days for that bug and taking everything apart).

Looks like JK isn't infallable. Finally fixed the gap in the bridge/landscape. Sadly that meant I had to completely rework Solitude.

The additional animals work fine and add more life to the game.

 

With the next update I'll remove anything regarding Parallax and LotD. Both cause too much trouble for my taste.

I'll also look into new meshes for creatures. Without the limit imposed by MNC you suddenly have a lot of options...

Missives is massive with all the patches. Got to see if i can add it.

Extremely hyped to see this modlist moving to CS. would begin migration once I finish a certain quest mod. btw may I know what issue Dismemberment framework has atm? Does it have some conflict with something in the updated modlist ?

There were problems with a visible gap at the wrist. I tried to redo the bodymeshes but that didn't work out. With the mod uninstalled everything worked fine. Reinstalled the mod and the gap was back. I'll look into it again once all other bugs are crushed... uhm... i meant 'fixed'.

Running the whole rework (grass cache, PBR, wrye, etc) again and then a new char to make final checks for the changes I implemented. If that works out (mini tests went well) then there arn't any bugs, that I know of, left.

 

I might have to drop SPP as it doesn't play nice with the new kids mod I want to include... 😒

Got to inform the OA about the problem. Thorsten sent a PM just came over. Problem resolved.

like you i absolutely hate patches It seem like one patch leads to another patch and to yet another patch.  Was glad to remove ENB lots of patches and that allowed me to remove LUX tons of patches.  Now i am focused on removing cutting room floor and its patches also weapons clothing and clutter fixes patches galore also removing weapons and clothing extensions.  Dragonborn gallery stays because it add a lot to the game. arthmoors towns go because they are poorly built placed and just static there are better towns available

I'm totally with you. 'Gods and Worship' was a real blessing as I could remove JK's temples (and the patches for them). Dropping LotD brought ~200 ESM/ESP/ESL. I'm going to miss a few artifacts, but patching it is a nightmare. It is almost as if patching one thing breaks something else. Plus all the incompabilities as the patches/addons are version specific (and too often you're not told for what version of LotD they are).

 

In the end this was the reason for me to buy 'East Empire Company' from Bethesda. Something I normally wouldn't do...

I just removed a good 100 plus patches from my load order was over esp limit by about 30 slots discovered half the patches from older mods were not in esl format that was a piss off Also about 10 hours work to get everything right so it works. Been useing 3 diferent methods to esl everything!  eslifier mod R88esl in xedit and creation kit method Discovered i like none of them lol.

I play as a pure hero lol. have about 200 follower mods and then follower captive mod from LL  So its rescue all the damsels in distress from dragons bandits drauger and on and on

Thank you for your hard work Aylis. Is it possible to make a section that shows your load order? I have stopped and started so many times over the past few weeks that with the changes mine is a mess.

ok.. sorry for the stupid question, and yes, :) , i've tried to do a search again.

In the Light Armor section, why can we not enable the "lustmord vampire armor during normal gameplay" ?    I cannot remember why we can't enable it up to a point.

I am pretty sure that is just for the bodyslide preset, not for the entire mod. You disable the preset after  generating the bodyslide files. It overwrites the main mod I believe if I remember correctly.

 

Edit: I look at the mod and it actually overwrites the original ESP which is probably the reason Aylis says to disable it afterwards.

Exactly. The bodyslide files are from a different mod but work with the one we actually use.

is anyone having issues with engine fixes its been updated about 4 times in the last month and now i cant start skse without a notice from engines failing to load a dll from yet a different mod. And to top it off when skyrim crashed it unchecked every plugin box in the right pane of mo2 so now i have to recheck all 2000 of them. shish! T hat was an old engine problem back when AE was introduced.

There isn't any missing DLLs. The other two DLLs are not needed with the latest version. The install has changed since V7. You use the two main files. The main file you install in MO2 and the preloader file in the main game directory unless you use Root Builder. If you have the old DLLs that are no longer needed, it might cause issues.

I am trying to track down an issue where I get an infinite load screen at start. A textfile with the list of a working loadorder would be helpful to quickly reference. Here as an example, I installed mods in the order you suggest but the actual load order is different then the list. I guess Loot runs automatically? BOOBIES was installed after A Matter of Time for example but the esp for BOOBIES is loaded before. And I never fully understood why some of the esps are in bold and loaded at the top

1.   MO2 got a smaller version of LOOT integrated.

2.   Bolded ESM/ESL/ESP are master files and belong at the top.

3A The load 'til the menue takes some time.

3B  After the menue it usually means a missing required mod

Finally got the broken snowy stones (and no landscape experiments anymore). The bug always popped up again once I changed something touching the landscape (those are done now). The funny thing is that some people offer patches for something snowy and got this bug too. Its even visible in their screenshots. Now my question is 'how much can you trust the patch of someone showcasing a bug?'.  

 

It is somewhat funny. When Parallax came up everyone (including me) was going for it, now, with CS, I'm working my butt off to get rid of it... 🤣
