SirusRobomage Posted April 7, 2025 Posted April 7, 2025 I seem to be having trouble going into SL Defeat and changing the tag settings for animations. The menu to edit tags never comes up, and doing so seems to make the MCM for SL Defeat just stop working entirely.

I can ask or respond to one comment, the followup options simply are not there for me to respond with. Just my prior comment all ghosty white and unclickable. I hate mid-game bugs. Modding.😢

Saw it recommended recently on the Naked Defeat mod post.

Using different replacers for NPCs is fairly straight forward but can cause the black face bug if you don't know what you are doing. For this list place Bloodline after High Poly NPC Overhaul - HighRes FaceTint (left MO2 panel). Make sure your mod is overwriting the facegendata .nifs and facetint .dds from High Poly NPC Overhaul. Place the .esp from Bloodline after the .esp from High Poly NPC Overhaul (right MO2 panel). It is likely you will need to rebuild your Bashed Patch. When in doubt use SSEEdit to check for conflicts. 1

There is a ko-fi.com link to the original mod here, AW Adult Fjotra - Sybil of Dibella [Skyrim SE/AE mod], and allegedly it is free, but I didn't confirm it. Maybe it needs a login? Next time Aylis does updates, perhaps an updated link is in order? Though I am curious why the mod was taken down. 1

I've been unable to dedicate time to gaming for a while My graphics card is a 2060, with 6G RAM, and my PC has 8G RAM. I don't think there's much to it. I ran a 2060 for ages, though I did run 16GB of ram at the time, not 8, when I was playing around with the list, though it was a couple of version ago, the way I found to keep fps up was to drop any of the 4K or higher textures it stated down to 2k, or in some cases, especially for the smaller stuff down to 1K, and I normally had about 50-60 FPS everywhere at the time, keep the same load order when you are installing though. It might be worth while just installing the list as is, try it see what FPS, and how playable the game is, if it is not playable, then go through and drop the textures down from 4K to 2K, especially on the world objects, and armours that are distributed to other NPC's. 1
Fakenet Posted April 10, 2025 Posted April 10, 2025 IMO you only need 4k textures for screenarchery. I do not believe that most people can tell the difference during regular gameplay. So I have already picked the 2k for a lot of stuff without testing the performance.

ENB is looking for mod added weathers and lighting templates. My guess is the ENB was built for a weather and lighting combination that this list doesn't use.

Testing this again and still the only prompt after the initial Ward lesson is to talk to Tolfdir for more lessons. I talk to him and the only lesson he has is more information on wards. I don't get any new prompts after that and no quest markers for more quests. Who do I speak with about the additional quests, or would that be a spoiler?

Faralda, Drevis, Phinis, Collete, and Tolfdir will each teach you a new spell and then give you a short quest to use it. Urag will lecture you about books. Sergius will ask you to enchant a weapon for him and the deliver it to a customer. It's been a while since I did these quests, but if I remember correctly I had to talk to one of the others before the dialog option with Tolfdir would show up.

More precisely one of the add-ons, though I can't recall which one. Might be a Kreate or DALC preset thing. I had it myself last week but got rid of it somehow. Might be Azurite 3 related.

It's Community Sahders rather than ENB but pretty much what you said weather wise.

I talked to Drevis and he had no options to teach a spell. He did give me the Explorer's Guide to Skyrim when I asked about Doomstones but the book appears to be about standing stones and doesn't unlock a spell. Same with Phinis. I'll try Faralda and Collete, but, as said, I think my installation of this mod is somehow borked.

As I recall, there were no quest markers to indicate who you should talk to, but once a quest is active, there is a marker for it. For example, Tolfdir teaches you the Waterbreathing spell and tells you to meet Arniel Gane to dive on a wreck and recover something for him, and there's a marker for where you meet him. There is a patch needed if you also have At Your Own Pace - College of Winterhold, and the installation instructions do list a few load order concerns:. If I am understanding your situation, if you go to College of Winterhold - Quest Expansion, there is an optional download called: EASY MODE - Show Direct Quest Markers 1

Now there's only a few of them in some places and they don't look as good as they used to. I'm guessing it's because I used LUX and then switched to Skyrim is Luminous as LUX was removed from the guide and SIL was added (which brought way more stability to the game). Would that be a correct guess?

Would that be a correct guess? Did a little research and an experiment. Others might find it useful. I added Skyrim is Luminous - Enhanced to Skyrim is Luminous. I then added Window Shadows Ultimate RC 6. I know it's supposed to be standalone, but I found information that it would go well with SIL Enhanced. We'll see. And finally Enhanced Dynamic Lighting. Here are a few screenshots of the results. https://imgur.com/a/O3yGSJV These are captured without any ENB. Just SIL and the three mods in my experiment. Oh, and the improved dust mods from the guide. However, some textures were overwritten (as can be seen in the dust particles), so I'm going to shift some mods around. And I'll also be trying out a couple of ENBs to see which one I'll go with for this. I have not tested this anough yet. I did get a CTD in Temple of Mara in Riften just as I noticed a floating chest in the small corridor/area behind the altar. So might be because of this experiment, it might not. Still, I need to do more testing. And I don't get sun beams/light shafts on as many windows as with LUX. But this seems like a compromise that gives me some of what I'm looking for with far less hassle and far more stability than with LUX. Hope someone finds this useful. Turns out that if I setstaged to 21, the quest proceeded normally to the Saarthal quest. I figure, based on info at the mods description, that that's the result of a fairly script heavy load order. One disturbing thing was that the little mage girl in the first quest gets the mage clothing from BD Armor and Clothes replacer after she is accepted at the college, along with the physics and a miniature version of the 3BA body for that outfit. Going to have to figure how to have her wear the vanilla mage clothing if I'm going to keep that mod.
