Bimbos 1.7.0 plus 1.7.0 patch

Skyrim SE

 

I spent about 4 hours removing mods and cleaning saves. No luck.

Appears to CTD randomly at places a Bimbo might be.

I suspect a bad NIF...

 

I am going to set this aside for a few days and see what turns up.

Good luck - I want this to work.

 

Added: The 1.7.0 Patch for SE is just converted NIFs and DDS files.

Any chance the conversion process missed one?

Well your having better luck then most people who can't even go where bimbos are placed because of 100% CTD chance, I was thinking of updating now that the new version has released but i think i am going to hold on for the time being.

Hi again, about points 2 and 3 posted above , i use vortex and analazing the folder`s  structure of the SSE patch i realized that "bodyslide" folder is at the same level as "Meshes" and "textures" so it is installed out of it´s place . the structure should be " caliente tools" and inside of this one should be " Bodyslide"...this way i was able to make match clothes an accsessories  with my body preset ( 3ba) when i rebuilded them in bodyslide . even high heels are working correct now except for white heels ( i dunno why).

Okay so: first- big problems:

 

-As pifesh has pointed out, the SE patch has the Bodyslide folder in root, not in a the CalienteTools folder. If you have invisible items, can you try moving it and let me know if that fixes it?

-The white heels are missing their .osd in SE, so they'll never build there anyway

-It looks like some people are getting hard crashes when loading any bimbo. I think this is only SE (come on people, you gotta tell me) and I'm not sure if it's because of the clothes .nif issue, or something to do with head .nifs. I hope it's not the heads thing, since I've got no idea what to do if it is (unless I just missed SE-converting the head nifs?)

Remind me, are you in LE or SE? If it's SE, can you try moving the Bodyslide folder into CalienteTools and see if that helps? That description lines up with things not getting built properly (even up to the earrings being ok, since they're not bodyslide items).

Oh, cheers. I was going to integrate this in for this version but, really I just wanted to get 1.7 out. I'll merge it in for 1.8!

 

I'll put a little fix in for the note thing as well, don't know how I missed that.

Hm. I'll take a look. Hopefully Lumiette's face being ugly is the same problem as her and Belle having gray face for you.

The amulet of Mara for marriage is a base-game system.

You need a new save, v1.7 would CTD as soon as you enter windhelm...

Using SE:

- The invisible items are fixed by moving the bodyslide folder.

- Getting a repeatable ctd after leaving dragonsreach just before going down the first set of stairs.

I checked the facegen nifs from another SE mod and they don't have this strange stretching issue. Could be unrelated though never messed with these before. Every facegen nif has the same issue in the SE patch.

Oh, I bet that's the problem. Can you try using the LE facegen meshes instead of the SE ones and see what happens? Maybe something went wrong in CAO on them.

Did that and no change. But just to be safe i tried again on an older save just in case this save had issues and that worked no more CTD even with the messed up looking faces.

I thought the save i was using never had BOS installed but I could be mistaken.

I'll check some of the npc's to see if their faces look normal in which case the nifs are probably fine.

 

Edit: instant ctd when entering the Bannered Mare so there is still something else going on

I've just gone back and checked- looks like the head nifs and textures weren't included in the previous versions of the SE patch. So it's looking more like they're the culprit.

It is definitely related to the facegen data. I just tested again after deleting all the facegen nifs from this mod and the facegen textures and the CTD in the bannered mare has been resolved by doing this. No grey faces on the custom npc's

 

Edit: just added the textures back and no CTD so it has to be the nif files

Maybe the facegen nifs need to be exported from the SE CK instead of converting them.

So wait, just to be clear- did removing the .nifs from the SE patch (so that the game just used the ones from the base LE version) help at all?

I removed all facegen nifs from the game folder (nothing was left there SE or LE) that solved the CTD.

 

I also found a solution for the nif files. It looks like you can't use CAO to convert FaceGen nifs and have to recreate it in the CK.

I did this and that also solves the issue, attached file are the fixed facegen nifs.

If someone else that was having CTD's could verify that this also solves their issue, can be installed using a mod manager or just extracted to the data folder.

Awesome. Once someone else verifies that this solves it for them, I'll update it into the main download.

But, is it even necessary? I realised that in previous versions, the SE patch hasn't had any facegen, and the mod just runs off the LE morphs.

 

Just as a side note, could you check how Lumiette looks? Is she all ugly and vampire-d up for you? Her ID is xx851629.

Lumiette does look vampire-d up similar to the earlier screenshot without the grey face.

 

I replaced the new facegen with the ones from the LE version and those also cause the same CTD no clue why that worked before.

Sorry to keep using you as a tester (but it looks like I can't generate these myself now) but could you change Lumiette's complexion to femaleNord and regenerate her to see if that helps her face?

LE. SE wants me to make an account on a website to log into to decide which mods I want to be able to activate (and it's a site for paid mods). Also SE doesn't handle YPS as well as LE does.

 

So you want me to copy the shape data & slider sets subfolders from the bodyslide folder into the Caliente Tools folder outside the bodyslide folder that already exists in the Caliente tools folder?

Facegen patch did NOT fix it.

 

I think because it goes in meshes/actor.

The main patch goes in meshes/actors.

Vortex detected no over-rides, so I got both.

Will try some manual renames...

 

Changing the facegen patch to Actors correctly overrides the SE Bimbo patch.

Unfortunately - it still CTDs going to see Urag.

About to try my own conversion of 1.7.0..

That faceGen file fixed the crashes for me as well. Thanks for the fix, and also thanks for the great mod and update!

 

EDIT: I made an error when testing the facegen file, it did not fix the crashes for me.

No, that's a problem in the SE patch (well, the other way around- I forgot to add the CalienteTools folder).

I'm not sure why you're getting invisible things on LE. Do they display correctly in Bodyslide?

The new facegen is in the archive but that alone is not enough to fix the issue the esp also needs to be changed to fix the ugly face. just the new nif doesn't work
