I don't think it was that.  I got to the Corvega plant with Gristle in the side basement area.  Jared's power armor was parked right there.  Gristle started to talk to me and then decided pointing his gun at the wall was more important.  Forevermore afterward, he just would say, "I can't believe what I'm doing," and he would not ever talk to me like that again, even if I reloaded a previous save to warp in.  I found him in the same spot, dead, once I overloaded the cage, since it would not take the shutdown command, and that is the point where I started asking about console commands.

Edit:  I went and watched the fight between Gristle and Dwayne, and it seems like Dwayne is essential while Gristle is not (isessential = 0.00).  Dwayne just shoots Gristle in the head and kills him.  Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Also, if I try to skip slavers part 1 with the cheats menu, it crashes my game every time.  Choosing to skip part 2 soft locks my game.

Edit:  I managed to dick around with console commands enough that the Slavers' Radio station is still available, but I don't know how to get the whore house to reopen.  If I visit it, no one is there, and once I leave, the front is blocked with burning wreckage that wasn't there when I went inside.

Yeah, I had a very similar situation, though admittedly I believe your experience was better than mine.  I tried multiple, multiple, multiple times to get Gristle to react and have more responses other than "I can't believe what I'm doing."  In my case he started saying that line when I am teleported into the Whore House by Middle Bomb.

Since some new content is added it will give me an excuse to go to an earlier save and see if I have better luck this next time around.

OCBP. But that's old gen. I don't know what to use in Next Gen.

I am going to try the new content, I do not (to my knowledge) have any mods that are futa related.  I kept looking through the recommended mods that you listed, and I didn't see any that would add the penis to Nora or other females.  What mod would you recommend?  I know the RTFM did not offer any suggestions for futa styled mods (been a bit since I last viewed it though).  (I do have OCBP for the physics, just not sure what futa mod is out there and that you'd recommend.  Thanks.

Hmm. I'm curious about these last two reports from the last quest in Corvega. I'm going to play that part tonight and see what happens.

My mod already includes all the assets for the futas. Flaccid penises, erect penises, two cock cage models, balls with physics. Textures, materials. You don't need anything external.

So, thhe ending went pretty well; I didn't experience any interruptions. The only thing I can think of is that some users are using a mod that expands the combat detection radius, which would definitely cause Gristle to cancel the dialogue.

This mod is based on the vanilla game. Adding things like "Better AI" (which I think is one of the mods that does thatfor example) is going to ruin the experience.

(I'll still make a countermeasure for the next update)

Sounds great, in my case, it may have been user error.  I was running into issues with Gristle in the Whore House while it was burning, he would keep repeating the same line.  But, once I setstage to Transport to Corvega, everything was fine.  But, then as I progressed I then had trouble killing the Synths.  They seemed to all be set under an essential flag, so once again (which is probably what borged it all up) I had to do another setstage to "Kill all Synths".  I damn near had to do setstages throughout much of the Harvestress questline.  I will use the newest version that you had released, and I will start at the point when the 2 girls and my character first travel to DC with Gristle.  Hopefully, it is far enough back so that I can experience the new content.  Thanks for the great work!

Also, you are right I have Combat AI Empowered (had it since 04/28/2024), man I am wondering if I have other mods that are causing issues that I wouldn't have even considered.  Great catch J.B.!

P.S. Almost forgot to ask.  After the True Ending.  Medium Bomb informs us that he is going to restructure the Whore House into an actual Brothel with the women getting paid for the services.  Is that actually implemented?  I thought that would be a cool ongoing optional feature that Nora visits and get paid for her services.  I can actually see Nora (from my perspective) being 'turned out' still being interested in that lifestyle minus the slavery bit, that and choosing to work at Golden Globes.  I think you wrote the story and content brilliantly that Nora could go in different directions and that it does not somehow turn her into a Warrior of Celibacy, or what have you.

Are you planning to add alternative ways to start the mod? Initially, I was thinking of adding the option where, if you're defeated by raiders—specifically the strong ones, not the common ones—the mod starts, or adding more locations where a mysterious vagabond might appear.

Hey so, I just want to mention I‘m using Family Planning Enhanced Redux and the new Update breaks the pregnant mechanic (worked on the previous version).

I tried with and without the mod and it definitely works without CS installed.

I also tried playing aground with the castration settings, but no change.

Just wanted to point that out, if anyone runs into the same issue.

as of 2.87h FPER still works cannot swaear to 2.87i but what i did notice happening was that if you get the tubal ligation it does break.

by skipping that you will have to get pills/condoms from Declan and use them to prevent pregnancy during CS.

i skipped the tubal ligation during the game i am playing now and did get pregnant 1 time during CS (pill from Declan fixed that), and have had 3 successful pregnancies

after finishing the true ending.

Hi, I'll start by saying I don't know much about Fo4 modding, so I was wondering if there are any specific modpacks that already have everything downloaded and configured. I wanted to try this, but I'm having a lot of mod dependencies that I can't seem to figure out. I'll leave a screenshot here in case you know what I need to download. Thanks in advance.

Ok that’s interesting.
As soon as I load the mod in and try to force a pregnancy with the debug function, it tells me it doesn’t work.

So you just skipped the event in the settings and FPER works normal?

No mod packs on the darker side of modding.  Start with this guide.

When you've run the installer you have selected to install the patches for Easy Girl and TRS outfits without having the actual mods present, so you could either disable the ESP or download

Easy Girl - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19596

TRS - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47810

These are the CBBE versions, if you using fusion girl body you'll need to find those versions, and remember to run bodyslide for them after installing or they won't show up/will look weird.

Same issue with Vtaw although i dont use that myself so don't know the links, either disable or go find them on nexus and install

In general when your modding fallout (or skyrim) if you don't know what the installer option is for, don't say yes to it

The links for vtaw are at the bottom of the main page, inside a spoiler.

I'll move it to the main page in a recommended section.

@JB.Do you plan to expand consequences to the MC after ending slavery? Besides lasting plastic surgery and a name change.

I'm not sure. I never really intended to leave anything for the post-ending (so the user could uninstall the mod), but currently you can remain as a futa, or as a junkie; now you have the hair dyes, the nail kit. But I can't think of much else that would remain after the ending.

There are ways.  I'm using Crime & Punishment and have quite a bit of negative karma for all the drugs and sex that my character was forced or coerced into doing.  Killing the Minutemen while escaping the correctional facility counts as a murder for each one.  It's also possible with the Deep Addiction mod to make your character forever remain a compulsive drug using junkie such that they use any drug or alcohol as soon as they pick it up.

Found an issue with the Runaway Slave quest.

I stopped advancing in the quest after speaking with Wolfgang at the dinner and returned to the Whore House.

A few quests later I went to the minutemen place to restart it but ran into the problem of having 2 missing arms, and so I can't clean the rubble. Sometimes the game glitches and I can interact with usually non-interactible things, but that only works for two rubble piles here, on the third the game just paralizes and I need to alt+tab and close it with task manager.

I can do without the quest, but the mod should either allow us to complete it even if limbless, or if we're not supposed to, then we should have an in-game solution.

Due to how the quest is programmed, there's really no difference between having amputations or not. The quest doesn't check that. Because up to that point, there are no amputations yet. It's in that quest where the amputation is introduced.

So I'm not sure if I understood correctly. Runaway Slave only kicks in at the end of "The Scaver" or at the end of "The Weapon." There's no way to do that quest with an amputation already, because it hasn't been introduced yet.

So I'm not sure I've understood your situation correctly.

How'd you manage to lose both limbs so early? The result of the run away costs you one but its not until The Pit where you can lose both as i recall and that quest doesnt appear until much after you are given the chance to run away

It wasn't that I lost the limbs early. I only followed up on the quest after I lost them.

When I was given the prompt to escape, I only did so until the dinner and then returned. But since the quest stayed active, I decided to follow it at a later point, hence the issues.

Edit: Another issue is that Wolfgang is stuck with runaway slave dialogue, although Simone does give me a different dialogue, with the piercings and the promise of work, but doesn't actually give me any jobs.

Oh, I see. So "Runaway Slave" didn't stop and got "FAILED" when returning to the Whore House?

Stop it with the console command StopQuest _CS_Runaway  👌 That should free Wolfgang. But, yeah, playing Runaway Slave fully (not returning to the Whore House) should be better until I fix it.

I'll see if I can reproduce and fix it. I've already fixed the nipple bug and I think I've finally found the script to turn off the Corvega elevator.

Is there any chance you could add a male start where they capture you as a male and force you to become/act as a woman?

Well, that would be a gay theme, and I'm not really comfortable with that. There are a lot of men in this mod, and they'd all have to be gay; basically, the whole wasteland would be gay, and that's where things get kind of unrealistic for me.

Was thinking about something in line of additional perks or debuffs, or perhaps some stuff from additional mods like "provocative perks". I usually like to play with permanent consequences, and a true ending is a bit of a bummer to me since it turns a truly scarry and scarring experience into nothing happened through a power of science (thankfully all these cures are optional though).

There's actually one consequence that wasn't accounted for, and that I think is accidental, comes from Sex Attributes, where you will receive a perk from too much trauma from raiders, that makes fighting against them more difficult (lower AP regen and you take more damage)
