DespairSyndrome Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Right, I finally got around to upgrading from 2.0 to 3.1 and with the news that 3.2 is coming out by Goubo himself, I seem to be rather late to the party. Haven't fully tried it out yet but I did have a few problems with upgrading, which have been resolved after some tinkering about last night. Hopefully this helps anyone else who is having problems with upgrading. 1. Don't Overwrite I'm terrible at modding, and I only use NMM and I'm not very good at that. So I accidentally unzipped the contents of the latest Defeat into my Data folder. Bad idea, caused a double menu and all sorts of problems. Currently the mod requires a full uninstall/clean save so the process goes a little like this: Uninstall from MCM > Save > Load > Check Defeat isn't there > Save again > Delete all Old Defeat Files > Install Defeat 3.1 > Load > Get a cup of coffee > Watch for MCM has registered one new menu If you upgrade directly, the mod doesn't quite support it and even with the MCM double menu script it still bugs out and there'll be $ signs everywhere. 2. CTDs More likely than not it's a FNIS problem. Hit the generator on your desktop If it isn't, validate game files from Steam. Loose scripts or the old scripts like MannequinActivator may be messing up with the game. My main problem was that, and the old Defeat files. e.g For my case 1 file always fails to validate, that was probably the Mannequin script. I have no idea how it causes the problem, but apparently it does.
Goubo Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 3.2 is up. You should do a clean save, as always. Description redone to be more clear. There is still bugs but the big ones are fixed. (I hope) I cannot guarantee the MCM menu will work well for those who had problem with it but since I rewritten it and optimized it I don't see what I can do more. Maybe I missing something obvious... Hope you'll like the new features. Don't stop the suggestions about new stuff and if you want some aspect of the mod improved/Changed, it is important you tell me what you like and don't like. Mcwill -> I guess yes, but maybe with a chance to happen rather than 100%. V3.2Added - Player as victim, Cooldown on the player when knocked down, the player can't stand up during 10 seconds, even if he takes a potion, you need to use one of the resists if you want to get away or if the aggressor can't reach you during the cooldown.Added - Player as victim, Slider to set the chances for threesomes to happen when multiple aggressors.Added - Companion as aggressor, Action hotkey for companion, you can order your companion to knock down, kill or rape the target.- Similar to the Action Key from Player as aggressor, the companion can do everything the player can do on a sleeping/knocked down npc, this include to have fun with his target with or without the player. (Threesome option)- Similar to the Action Key from Player as aggressor, if you hold the hotkey, the companion will kill the target, if you hold the hotkey and the modifier key, the companion will rape his target.- This feature uses the Companion as aggressor MCM settings as conditions, Strip, hp threshold, fear.Added - Player as aggressor, Action key features:- Cheer, you can cheer up your companion involved in sex. (Weapon sheathed, you need to be near, aim the actor and press the key.)- Masturbate, if you are targeting an actor involved in a sex scene you will begin to masturbate. (Weapon sheathed, you need to be near, aim the actor and press the key.)- Rescue, You can push away an aggressor if he tries to rape your companion or stop him when he's raping your companion. (You need to be near, aim the aggressor and press the key, you can't push away a companion/teammate)- Scene Controller, When the modifier key is pressed, while targeting a NPC involved in sex, you can realign, change the animation or the stage of the scene, will work with every sex scenes of SexLab Framework, so as the Rescue/cheer/masturbate features.Fixed - MCM menu script rewritten and simplified, 1200 -> 750 lines.Fixed - Player as victim, Threesome should now work as intended.Fixed - Player as victim, Merged checks in the OnHit event, should improve the script delay.Fixed - Player as victim, Resist hotkeys can't be spammed anymore, the player has one try and one only. (Except if the player tries to use Weaponry resist without the corresponding weapon in hand, I've added a sound to reflect that.)Fixed - Player as victim, second aggressor should now enter in a waiting state and do idles instead of walking away.Fixed - Player as victim, Added the 10 seconds cooldown rape proof instead of a script loop after the player has been raped, meaning you the player can get raped again before recovered, that also fix the debuff refresh bug.Fixed - All sex scenes will now launch the EndAnimation event if one of the actor is pushed away or killed.
D_ManXX2 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Thanks for the new update. I was wondering does Defeat currently support additional companions used by EFF system or AFT mods ??
Goubo Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 I use EFF myself, it souldn't be any incompatibilities with followers mods, I use IsPlayerTeammate() as check.
Someone92 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 After a rape during a gangbang you stand up so quickly (at least if you're using the D13 Faster get up stand up animation) that you can run away before the next hunter is ready; dunno if there's a timer or at one point they got so close that the second animation started but if I had wanted to I could have properly killed all my wanna-be rapists. Maybe add a Paralysis effect on the player (or all victims) if "next hunter" isn't empty. And how does resisting a rape works? I've changed to hotkeys to ASDW but I never see a hint of an animation or a sound that my character at least have tried to resist.
Goubo Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 You are supposed to flee when you get up and the next aggressor is supposed to try to catch you, I can't time this exactly or I least a don't know how to do it but I could add a disablecontrols for combat to the player to force him to flee and maybe a slowdown debuff. If you fail a resist your char will groan like taking a hit and the agressor will say a random line ("Be careful" or something), I admit it's not that obvious but I don't know what to add, if you have ideas.
Recoilsuave Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Well I just tested 3.2 and it seems to have an incompatibility with Radiant Prostitution. When I uninstalled Defeat 3.1, Radiant Prostitution's wenches started having sex for the first time ever, instead of just standing there staring at their clients forever. When I installed 3.2, Radiant Prostitution's wenches stopped having sex and just stared at their clients again. I've tried loading Defeat before and after Radiant Prostitution and it doesn't matter. For whatever reason, Defeat is breaking the sex scenes for wenches.
Tensu_Makadi Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Future plans: - Fixing things you report. - Add Actor Event support. - Including a possibility for the NPC to resist knocking down attempt from the player/companion from behind/sneak (The npc could push away the player/Companion just like the Rescue function), it is currently a little OP, need to make a good resist algorithm. (Penalty when in combat and Cooldown on failed attempt could be a good solution) - A function for the Action Key with weapon sheathed when targeting a npc, something consensual maybe? - Improving stripping. - Improve the tie up option, abduction/prison or something. - Support beast/monster animations when it's possible. I would like to suggest a unarmed takedown so to speak with a higher chance of being resisted... Also something like in combat first time use as a disarm and second time, or if combatant is already disarmed, as a chance to knock down.
Someone92 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 If you fail a resist your char will groan like taking a hit and the agressor will say a random line ("Be careful" or something), I admit it's not that obvious but I don't know what to add, if you have ideas.I guess the easiest way would be a "Show debug notifications" bool in the MCM and if checked prints something like "Player tried to defend themselves with a 1H-weapon/Alteration/Conjuration/etc. -> Failed". Right now I'm just spamming [uP] because I have no clue when I'm supposed to press it and failed every time so I would like to know if I even trigger the self-defense. I usually hear a line like "It's cold tonight, cover yourself" or "Please cover yourself with something... anything"; are those the random lines you speak of?
Blazicorn Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Yeah, I can get it to show up in the MCM menu, but neither the player nor NPCs are able to initiate anything, no matter what the max/min health variables are set to. Version 3.2 is showing up in the MCM more often than 3.1 was, but I'm still stuck scratching my head, here...

Lol no, those are generic lines NPC tell you when you are naked. I can make a make an optionnal pop up message of course, actually that is a good idea. Resists are explained in the MCM menu, if you spam Up you will use your weapon in hand (one hand or two hand) and if you use shift+Up you will use your bow or crossbow, but you need to have the corresponding weapon in your hands, if you don't, a sound is played (out of magicka sound) and you can try another resist, all of this in a 2 seconds window so you better know what resist you are using. I could also make an optionnal pop-up message with all the resists listed for you to choose when you press the action key when the aggressor is near you, better? I had a sword/axe and a shield in my hands so [uP] to defend with a weapon is the right course of action, or? Imo pop-up menus are a lazy/un-immersive way to handle things like this so I won't be one of those who will be using such a feature. On another note: Someone else has the issue that the rapists and sometimes the victim starts a cheer/idle animation for a second just before a sex animation ends and the actors start to ragdoll? http://www.loverslab.com/topic/18708-sexlab-framework-development-updatesfeedbackdiscussion/?p=477568

Mixed results with getting it to appear in MCM when trying clean saves, but even when it does appear, enemies will just continue to attack the PC as normal, and the PC is unable to initiate anything with "G." My best guess is that there is some conflict somewhere with another mod that I have going (I also have Schlongs of Skyrim, and Procreation running (as well as skeletons that are associated with them)). I'm considering reinstalling Skyrim, and seeing how it works without any other mods involved.
Madmartigan34 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 These "resists" are basically just Quick Time Events or QTE's, like those found in Tomb Raider that came out earlier this year. Its a shame you can't get the Key Prompt UI pop-ups that that game had during the windows-of-opportunity to use them. Heh. That..... would rock. I'd recommend referring to these as QTE's infact, as thats a pretty common gaming-term already.
Guest Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Yep, NPCs ignore the mod for me as well. Worked fine with 3.1. Did uninstall and clean save, tried cleaning up after reinstall. MCM shows normally for me, though. Edit: To clarify, it seems like enemies drop far less than before but it sometimes works to rape them as PC, and apparently they dont want to rape me anymore. Lydia rapes on rare occasions - and apparently doesnt get raped anymore either.
Thorn14 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Same, I can't get attacked either still. Maybe it has to do with the fact I see $ next to some objects on the menu?
tov01 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I'm still having trouble with the skyui. I can get it to work for a time by making a clean save, but it freezes up again after a few minutes in the menu. A shame, too, as I really want to use this new version.
sonicshocker Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 MCM menu finally appears for me! It didn't for Version 3.1, 3.0, and not even 2.0. So yes, i'm pleased that it works. Thank you!
AwfulArchdemon Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 @Goubo: In the Companion Action Key description, the 5thword "tagetting" should be "targeting", which was most likely my fault. Sorry.I had no clue I was even in the credits, so I felt it my responsibility to tell you about this.
selfprivacies Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I brought more than 20 bandits by console to rape player, but they did not rape her It seams that player cannot be raped by npcs if player is much stronger than the npcs. I, of course modified the related MCM menu so that player can be easily raped by enemy. but it did not work at all. would you please help me?

Did you check if there's and conflicts or incompatibilities? Are your SexLab, Skyrim, skse, FNIS, are all updated? Did you load a save or start a new game? Did you try not spawning npcs and fight normal ones? Did you try changing the load order by bringing it towards the bottom? Did you search if this problem already was answered? (Just in case)
SmokeMage Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I have encountered a bug which didn't fixed in v3.2 , so I think I have to report it here. When my character's health drop below 20%, this mod doesn't response immediately, so I have a second or two to continue the fight. During this time, If the enemy was killed by a killlmove, player control will be disabled and my character just stand idle. After drink some healing potions the control will be restored, but the value of healrate, magickarate and staminarate were all permanently set to negative, so I have to load a pervious save. That's it.

I noticed yesterday, a wench was wearing a strapon and doing a carry front maneuver with that Orc loan shark on Sohlsteim. I was also able to a Home Delivery quest there as well. I plan on checking out 3.2 today, and if I can remember, I'll update this. I know 3.1 was working though.
AngelusNexus93 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I haven't had any luck triggering the PC rape either, I've spent the last 2-3 hours checking if everything is in the proper place. The mod is listed in the MCM, and it lets me alter the options, but still no luck (i have already checked the FAQ aswell ) SKSE is upto date, same with SkyUI and FNIS any suggestions?
Kuroshu Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I'm starting to sound like broken record... Either that or you already did this: Disable your mods one by one. Would be best to do on a new character/very Clean save. I keep a Base save that didn't have ANY mod on, right before you make a character. Or if you really don't want to repeatedly do the intro/tutorial quest then play a vanilla character up to when you leave the cave then save. And make that as a base to test mods. Just saying this since the authors really can't help you if they don't know what's going on or if it's even their mod's fault.
