Thanks,xgkf.  I was using DA previously with SD+ and will probably go back sometime but SD+ was giving me some headaches.  Since I started a new game without it I also took out DA as I like Defeat's post-assault scenarios better.  Either way, I understand that DA does solve the problem, maybe I will go back to that even without SD+.

If you are not using DA, try tim in console but find a mod that disable kill moves if you don't want enemies to kill you out right.

 

Going only from memory here might remember wrong, there are 4 sliders:

One governs at what % health you can be knock down

One governs at what % stamina you can be knock down

One governs the chance of you getting knock down when conditions are met

One governs the minimum health you need to have in order to get knock down, this number should be lower than the % health to get knock down

There is a message saying "Run Away" right on the center of my screen. I tried to go to the menu and click on Clean and also disable and re-enable the mod, how can I fix it?

How do I manually uninstall this mod without MCM? I never managed to get it to work. When I hit install, it never installed. Now I crash whenever I load a save where I have it "installed". It doesn't pop up anymore when I load a fresh save. How can I get rid of it?

Hi, I looked everywhere, could not find my answer, i apologize if it was already asked.

After Defeat got the reboot, and got totally revamped, it doesnt work for me, i never get knocked down.  I tried setting my health to 100%, so on the first hit i should get knocked down and nothing happens. Is anyone else having this issue? i tried with and without Death Alternative.  It was super buggy with DA and no signs of the Defeat mod were kicking in. Please Help!

Try install SexLab first, wait till it's registered in MCM, save, quit, then install Defeat.

 

If still doesn't work then uninstall all, start new game, try again.

Make a clean save in "Dragonsreach in Jarl's room", or children's room, inside the room, clean save, save it  2 or 3 times, wait 5 min and save it again, install all mods related sexlab inside "this place",  . .. if not shown on the menu ... do a quick save and then a quick load ... (this is the same way to install Enhanced Blood Textures by dDefinder http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60/?) worked for me.

I'm going to use this version, and only use victim role. are there any bugs?

No aggressor, only victim role. If things are going OK until now, I want  to try it out.

A couple of questions.  This may have been asked already, apologize if it has but this is a big thread and it isn't always easy searching.

 

Using the Defeat post assault events I had a robbery.  I set the MCM to "Value" which is supposed to take everything from the PC above the set amount, I had it set to 20gp.  Only my gold was taken.  I did go back and check the MCM menu to make sure it was set at value and not gold or gold and stripped.  Is this a current bug, has it happened to others?

 

I seem to be getting one-shotted or killed when near threshold percent of health from powerful enemies.  I know it's part of the game but is there anything I can do besides raise the Threshold percentage.  I like it at 20 or 25%, higher and it's just ridiculous, my PC has no chance against a swarm of baddies.

 

What does the % Health for knockdown slider do?

Did you have the robbery post event set to 100% by default it is only 20% of the time. Gold can be stolen even on vanilla defeat.

 

No that has always been a issue with Defeat and Submit if you set the health very low and or you are low level. Submit fixed it by added a death proof option and Defeat is fixing it by adding a plugin to work with Death Alternative.

 

As for what the % health does that is at what heath level you have to be at for Defeat to trigger. So for example lets say you have health set to 25% and chance on hit set to 25%. That means once your character has fewer than 25% of their health, ever hit after that has a 25% chance to trigger. Even if you have the hit chance to 100% they would still have to have less than 25% of their health.

 

What I found worked best on my last play thru when I was using Defeat 4.x edition is at low level set the health fairly high with a low hit chance trigger and then as my character leveled lowered the health % and raised the hit chance.

 

That made it random and I was less often killed but it could still happen. Just had to adjust the number ever couple of levels.

This is a beta test of a the new version of Defeat. If you are looking for something completely bug free you would be best to wait. There is still a lot of options and things still not even all added to the mod yet, so there is going to be bugs etc for awhile with each new update till the final release version is released.

I didn't have robbery set to 100% as I don't want to be robbed everytime.  I did have it set at 60 and even as high as 75%.  The robbery event does trigger as I get the dialogue and quest to recover my stuff.  It just so happens that my stuff is only what was stripped and the gold.  I have the post assault set to "Value" as I said before so I think I have everything set correctly.

 

In regards to the threshold and health, that part I understand.  I don't use the stamina feature just health.  I also have done what you said, set the health threshold higher at earlier levels.  I'm level 8 now but still dieing more often than I want versus the Defeat assault.  It's especially true in large groups but that may have to do with lag more than the mod.

 

The question I had were the two sliders below health.  I keep forgetting their names.  I think, Low Hit Chance and there is another, percentage something or another.  I will have to go into the MCM and commit to memory.

 

Appreciate the tips.  I think everything is working as it should except for the robbery event.

The stamina one is on it's own and can be a good way to help with groups. If you set stamina with a 100% chance trigger is lower than say 25% stamina then any time you are hit from behind you will have defeat trigger which helps keep you from being killed when swarmed.

 

But yes groups or guys with high damage 2-handed weapons power attacking is a problem. Keep in mind lets say you have a character with 200 health and your dmg threshold is set to 25%. That means once your character drops below 50 health, the next hit has a chance to trigger. But because it has to run a script to see if it triggers, it can take a second or two depending on how much script lag you have before it knows if defeat is triggered.

 

Which means if you are getting hit by 2-3 or more people you can have defeat trigger like it should but you can actually die before the script finishes running to make the event happen.

 

Another problem that can happen. Lets say again you have a character with 200 health and you have it set to 25% again or 50 health. after fighting for awhile, you are down to 75 health. But then take a big crit hit that drops you to 15 health or something. Well since the hit was before you was below 50 health that can't trigger it so only the next hit can trigger it but the next hit is almost for sure going to kill you.

 

This is why when Defeat is fully set up to work with DA it will like be a lot more dependable. Though I actually like the random nature that sometimes you just die.

 

As for the robbery, then yes if the robbery triggers it should steal all items over a certain value. Though I am not sure if the defeat triggers on things like food and stuff though. Not honestly sure.

I recently reinstalled SKyrim and downloaded last beta Defeat V5b3  - sex doesn start after player is down

Then I tried Defeat V5b2.1.rar -sex with NPC start very seldom, in most cases player is down and nothing happens.

Not asking for solution, just reporting.

I solved the issue i had with Defeat not appearing in the MCM menu by disabling the Submit + Devious Devices compatibility patch. I can't tell what part of it is conflicting, but it reliably prevents Defeat from loading, even on new games.

As for the robbery, then yes if the robbery triggers it should steal all items over a certain value. Though I am not sure if the defeat triggers on things like food and stuff though. Not honestly sure.

 

I like the odd chance of dieing from a fight as well, my issue is that it is pretty much guaranteed under certain circumstances.

 

Yea, started a new game, the robbery thing just isn't working right on my end.

Tried to get this working with SD+ (version 2.03), per SkyrimII's PDF file, and am just getting killed, like all the time. Would like to get the combination of SD+, DAYMOYL and Defeat working together, but so far I'm not having any luck. I'll try again when I'm wide awake and not Bleeding Out :D. The configuration settings are making my brain hurt (insert Monty Python sound byte here). Anyone with a (helpful) suggestion, please feel free to share. Thanks.

There is a post back on PAGE 219 by MARCUS01  he uses DEFEAT SD+ DAYMOYL together He also gives a LOAD ORDER  AN A DETAIL MCM SETTING  DONE VIA JPG. PICTURES    HOPE IT CAN HELP

I would like to know exactly what happend for you before the Run away messsage get stuck on the screen, I did not succeed to reproduce this bug and I want to fix it, I imagine how much it may be annoying.

 

As for the mod I think the next update will be for final fixes, I'll start to add post assault content after this.

 

I'm also working on a first test version of the hideout mod that work with a spell, it's really for testing some features, particularly the prison, a lot more functional than the old part of the mod.

I've almost learnt to ignore it at this point.

 

As I recall, I was defeated by five wolves. When the run away message first appeared, I ran a little way, then turned and came back ('run away' still onscreen), picked up a weapon and managed to kill four of the wolves. The fifth was killed by a passing soldier before I got back. "Run away" has been on screen ever since.
