Defeat instead trigger's as if it were a DA mechanic if DA is installed (ie, during BleedOut). sorry what did you say ? do you really say that goubor LIES in his mods description, that skyrimII LIES in his fine pdf Manual ? that you have to choose in defeats MCM menu health threshold, stamina threshold, or both thresholds, NONE of them working ? instead you gracefully spend us this information on page 227 of this Forum ? You call this a clarify ? Still the wrong description, pdfmanual, mcm menu ! what are descriptions, pdf Manuals and MCM menus made for ? to fool the People around for weeks ? , because you may have forgotten to rewrite them and tell them that this mod is not working in that way at all ? wasting their time and nerves here in the Forum and in the game ? to happily tell thim to shut up and move further ? i guess that needs an overhaul. No defeat works just fine with the threshold etc on it's own. When you use the ALPHA optional plugin for DA, on the BETA version of Defeat, then those options don't work and then it only works with the DA trigger. Stop accusing people of things that are not true. Also stop expecting this to be bug free when it is clearly stated it is a beta build and the newest feature a DA plugin is the very first attempt to add a plugin to make them work together. This is at the top of the OP in this thread. /!\ BETA /!\ The V5 is in a beta test state, don't expect everything to work properly and save your game with the mod at your own risks. So if you can't deal with that, then you have no one to blame but yourself cause it clearly stats this is in testing stages of mod development and you should expect bugs and problem.s

All you've done in this and the SD+ thread is bitch and moan about how you don't like the direction the mods are going with DA integration. If you don't like it, don't use it! If each of these mods worked perfectly fine for your in previous versions, why are you even updating them to begin with?! For bugfixes that you apparently don't need since they were working perfectly already? For new features that you apparently don't even want because they worked they way you wanted to begin with? The point of this thread is to aid in the mods development by either making simple suggestions, or (more helpfully) calmly pointing out and detailing broken features or bugs that are encountered while playing. The purpose is NOT to pointlessly bitch and complain when something with the mod that YOU are NOT putting the time/effort into creating and fixing doesn't go the way YOU want it to. Yes, the old, outdated documentation is probably wrong with how the mods work now. Why? Because they've each just begun implementing new functionality that still needs tweaking and very well may change or be altered anyway depending on how well that integration goes. Does a note probably need to be made addressing those issues if one hasn't already been made? Sure! But you coming in and constantly bitching and attacking anyone and everything who is working on the mods or trying to explain how the new functionality works does NOTHING to help alleviate those issues and the confusion. So then, if you don't have anything constructive to contribute, then do kindly FUCK OFF!

I'll gray out options that are not used when DA is detected in MCM and I'm going to redo the knock down part of MCM and add knock down on power attacks and you'll be able to activate some with DA enabled and I'll add options for each knockdown way (Stamina not only in the back, chance on hit for each options etc...) DA compatibility is still wip, remember.

CGi Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Discovered it by accident, which frees me from using Submit which sadly didn't receive any updates fo a while. ^^But the game crashed after i made the wrong decission and the bandit wanted to take my toons body instead. Very likely something on my end that caused the crash. Btw: Want a new installer? Could send it to you together with the translation ... unless someone else does a german translation before i do.

dje34 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Ok, so after some testing, I can say Deafeat v5b3 hardly makes the difference between agressor and victim when triggering an animation. Sometimes the victim is in the victim role when animation triggers, sometimes the victim is in the agressor role. Same goes for the agressor.

Hm, I humbly disagree, description pages being up to date would be sorta great ... that goes for all mods, not just this one, and Nexus as much as loverslab. I can honestly say the biggest time killer everytime I return to Skyrim is having to go through hundreds of pages of forum discussion to figure out how a certain mod feature is actually supposed to work or why x doesn't work with y ... now, I do it anyway, but I think everybody is better off if the first post (OR an included Readme) is covering most things. Less gray hairs, less annoying PMs for the mod creator (hopefully), less forum bloat Anyway, glad to hear it's in the works for this one. Even after reading most of the 200+ pages the new Defeat is a bit of a mystery to me. Specifically how post assault settings work (or don't) with DA. How if at all they relate to DA Blackout events. And yeah, why companions sometimes will be on top in animations, even when "PC/Companion as Aggressor" is disabled, re: dje 34. Though I dare guess that's more of a bug than an undocumented feature

I just would personally rather Goubo worry about the mod and working on it. Once the mod is out of beta a full done description and information page is needed then I agree.

This issue is only appearing when raping NPC with your weapons drawn. After that, PC is frozen. So, don't do that. Solution for this problem is typing "epc" or "player.tai". This commands should unlock PC, especially "player.tai" command. (In the case that someone still doesn't know)

Here is the problem: I begin a fight and when the required health is reached, my PC fall on knees one second, the combat stop and nothing else. Other characters and the aggressors continue to walk like the rape tentative has never happened. Now, I use a minimal amount of mod to test, but I still have the probleme. I use, NMM, FNIS, Boss, TES5Edit and Wrye (At least, I try to understant those software :-) ). Here is my load order : Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm Dragonborn.esm Sexlab.esm (1.57) Alternate Start – Live Another Life.esp SkyUi.esp SexlabDefeat.esp (5b3) SexlabDangerousNights.esp (1.3) Kate.esp Here is My Papyrus Log since the launch of the new game and a double try to be rapped : So, I don't know what to do now... Discovered it by accident, which frees me from using Submit which sadly didn't receive any updates fo a while. ^^ But the game crashed after i made the wrong decission and the bandit wanted to take my toons body instead. Very likely something on my end that caused the crash. Btw: Want a new installer? Could send it to you together with the translation ... unless someone else does a german translation before i do. Both, actually I saw some NPC vs NPC and the winner of the fight became the victim of animation, female winner became victim, male loser became aggressor. There was no 'cowgirl' position checked in mcm. And my female PC can be aggressor and victim in animations, randomly it seems. It doesn't depend on the winner of the fight... I must add I'm using DA and SD+ now, and it makes things much more complicated to know which mod causes what as all these mods have an impact on fights.

The notification that female bandit wants to rape my male Follower (the mercenary type Stenvar) pops up. They undress. The opposite happens. Stenvar starts humping the bandit - which dies a second later since I get a couple of hits in, hoping "Stop Scene on hit" kicks in as advertised, which it usually doesn't. Followers as aggressors was disabled btw. 2. Another instance where PC is getting raped, and "Companion Collateral" turns out to be female Follower fucking a male bandit doggystyle instead. Well maybe he "forced" her to, what do I know, these kinky bandits ... My biggest gripe is that no matter what settings I choose, it doesnt seem possible to keep combat from getting messy. I find mid-combat rape silly, mainly since it messes everything up. I can kill hard bosses with ease because all they care for is my followers ass despite getting an axe in the back 9 times in a row. And the other option (allowing the aggressor to be invulnerable during the assault) seems equally immersion breaking. Why would the PC just stand there and watch. Basically I want the Defeat scene to be a possible outcome of combat, wrapping it up IF and ONLY IF PC and followers are down at the same time. And from what the different settings say, it should be possible. But somehow I can't convince Defeat + DA to work like that, at least not if the follower goes into bleedout first.

The notification that female bandit wants to rape my male Follower (the mercenary type Stenvar) pops up. They undress. The opposite happens. Stenvar starts humping the bandit - which dies a second later since I get a couple of hits in, hoping "Stop Scene on hit" kicks in as advertised, which it usually doesn't. Followers as aggressors was disabled btw. 2. Another instance where PC is getting raped, and "Companion Collateral" turns out to be female Follower fucking a male bandit doggystyle instead. Well maybe he "forced" her to, what do I know, these kinky bandits ... My biggest gripe is that no matter what settings I choose, it doesnt seem possible to keep combat from getting messy. I find mid-combat rape silly, mainly since it messes everything up. I can kill hard bosses with ease because all they care for is my followers ass despite getting an axe in the back 9 times in a row. And the other option (allowing the aggressor to be invulnerable during the assault) seems equally immersion breaking. Why would the PC just stand there and watch. Basically I want the Defeat scene to be a possible outcome of combat, wrapping it up IF and ONLY IF PC and followers are down at the same time. And from what the different settings say, it should be possible. But somehow I can't convince Defeat + DA to work like that, at least not if the follower goes into bleedout first. Use last enemy option in NPC vs NPC, your companion shouldn't always be knocked down mid-fight, you can also disable followers as victim, they can be collateral victims anyway if the PC is down. But indeed there is something I can do to improve this, All Down option should work for followers waiting the PC to be knocked down too. put this on todo. [...] You are properly knocked down but the NPCs go away and then you char gets up after some time, is that it?

Very likely something on my end that caused the crash. Btw: Want a new installer? Could send it to you together with the translation ... unless someone else does a german translation before i do. I already did one. Goubo has it it's just the question: When does he wants to upload it? @ Goubo: If you let me know about a new version via PN before uploading it I could as well translate that version so you could upload everything together.
Thebigmightypoo Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I am having a bug where the text "Run away!" that is suposed to popp up after you escape stays on the screen permanently. I have tried disabling defeat and sexlab mod in the MCM menu, i have tried cleaning both sexlab and defeat in the MCM menu, i have tried going to a different area, i have tried loading a saved game, even tried loading a saved game before the escape event (the bugg) happened. Nothing makes it go away. I am wondering if you got anny clue what the cause can be, and if theres any fix to this seriously annoying problem.

I didn't run across any bugs or problems persay but I have a few comments. 1) The surrender option seems to work but it seems to be really slow. or it doesn't work everytime not sure. I hit it and sometimes it takes awhile as in a couple of seconds for it to kick in. spamming the button seems to help though but still might want to take a closer look at that. I also have some suggestions on what I think would improve it in the spoiler tag below. First make it so you can hit surrender if your weapons are out or not and have it work, I would suggest adding a slider bar so people can set the chance a surrender works. Next I suggest making a surrender key, so it is a single key just for surrender. I say this cause I was testing it to use it in combat and I grappled the NPC instead when I was trying to surrender. So making surrender it's own hotkey would fix that issue. When you click surrender key, make it so the PC automatically drops their weapons and puts their hands up, saying I yield each time you hit the surrender key, regardless if the NPC's accept the surrender or not. Since the PC is trying to surrender and has no idea if it will be accepted or not. This will then make it easier for the NPC's to damage the PC and be more realistic. At which point the PC can attempt to surrender again by pushing the key or trying to run. Next once surrender happens, have the NPC's taunt the PC a few times and give it a bit of time so the other NPC's can be gathered around. This makes sense, the NPC's would do that so as to make sure the PC doesn't try anything funny and really means to surrender. Add a few more lines of dialogue to the surrender setup. Something along the lines of this starting at the I yield of the surrender key. PC - I yield! (drops/strips weapons) NPC - Show us you mean it and remove your armor. PC - (all the normal bribe, persuade options currently but with a new one one) Ok just don't hurt me. *PC strips armor dumping it on the ground* If the PC refuses to remove the armor and the persuade or bribery fails then this happens. NPC - Remove your armor or well gut you like a fish! PC - (has two options no which makes the NPC's attack again, or yes in which case it does as above above and strips the armor) If the PC complies with stripping the armor the following happens next. NPC - That's better. *evil leer* It'd be a shame to mess that body up, tell you what. If your half as good feeling as you are looking and we just might let you live, when where done with you. *laugh* PC - Ok, just don't hurt me. (OR) No please not that. (either way the reply is the same) NPC - Shut your mouth bitch! This is going to hurt and you're not going to enjoy it. (then the rapes start) The above dialogue is just quickly came up with to give you a example of something I think would make it more realistic and interesting. You could do something similar on normal defeat as well. I just thinking adding more dialogue and such makes the scene more interesting and more about what it is and not just about the sex, if that makes sense. 2) Robbery option works but I think it needs to be changed, so it is more optional and works better with the overall mod better. Details in spoiler tag below. ok for Robbery I think this needs to be removed from the events tab or placed in a special location separate from all the rest at the top. I think this needs to be a stand alone feature that can be turned on or off, plus work with all the other events. So if you have robbery clicked on and set. Defeat will check that first and see if a robbery happens. If it does then it removes the gear, gold etc. Then it goes on to check other events. That way you could set it so you can be robbed as often as you want and still have it set so the character wakes up in the inn etc. If it is suppose to work this way already you might want to check it cause it doesn't seem to be doing that in my testing, it is one or the other. Never both. Finally I don't know if this is possible but could it be set so only hostile factions rob from you? For example if you are in a fight in a town and accidentally hit one of the towns folk or guard they often will attack you. If you have robbery on they can defeat you and rob from you, which makes it a bit weird and harder to get your stuff back. So if at all possible I suggest have robbery have another setting so you can have it set to only work on factions/NPC's that are by default always hostile to you and not work the rest of the time. Hopefully that makes sense..
afa Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 The surrender option trigger well enough for me, fast enough, and always trigger. Since there's only 2 hot keys at the moment and modifier version of each, 4 total, weapons out and or not seems like a reasonable enough option. A new hot key would be nice, but let's try not to take up the entire keyboard. I don't know about PC needing to drop weapon as soon as surrender key is hit. If there's a chance for enemy to refuse surrender that seems to be troublesome, immediate animation response could also be troublesome, Skyrim seems to have trouble with stacking animation. Also at the moment, the surrender dialog already ask the PC to drop their weapon. And I think multiple enemies already gather around when the dialog starts, try to wait a little bit, during the dialog option, but sure adding in filler dialog would work.

That's why i asked. Btw: is Faster GetUp no longer needed/recommended? It is no longer mandatory because I changed the way the transition works but still recommended, the vanilla get up is awfully slow so I guess we can let it as optional in the installer since I have the author's authorization. I am having a bug where the text "Run away!" that is suposed to popp up after you escape stays on the screen permanently. I have tried disabling defeat and sexlab mod in the MCM menu, i have tried cleaning both sexlab and defeat in the MCM menu, i have tried going to a different area, i have tried loading a saved game, even tried loading a saved game before the escape event (the bugg) happened. Nothing makes it go away. I am wondering if you got anny clue what the cause can be, and if theres any fix to this seriously annoying problem. Yes known problem, sorry for that, besides uninstalling the mod and making a clean save I do not know a way to fix it, I wasn't able to reproduce this bug myself, not everyone has this problem that's why this is wierd but not surprising. (Skyrim.) I've changed a little bit of the code around this so let's hope it is fixed for the next update. Ok I tested out the latest update finally some today. I didn't run across any bugs or problems persay but I have a few comments. 1) The surrender option seems to work but it seems to be really slow. or it doesn't work everytime not sure. I hit it and sometimes it takes awhile as in a couple of seconds for it to kick in. spamming the button seems to help though but still might want to take a closer look at that. I also have some suggestions on what I think would improve it in the spoiler tag below. 2) Robbery option works but I think it needs to be changed, so it is more optional and works better with the overall mod better. Details in spoiler tag below. There is no reason for it to be slow, probably faster than a simple knockdown, the thing is that you need to target your enemy to surrender to him, my guess is that you just press the key whithout aiming the NPC. so you can choose which NPC you wish to surrender, I could maybe change this but I think it is good to let the player choose to whom he whiches to surrender. I also do not whish to add another HK, I think it works well enough with the need for the player to sheath his weapon before he can surrender, it makes some fight end if a NPC do not wish to particulary kill the player. But if other people think it need to be changed let me know. As for the dialogues yeah I'll add more to cover different situations, conditions as checked before the dialogues trigger, I'll add followers support so male player can offer his females followers or to be forced to watch for example, etc... hehe. About the rob, even if it's in the misc events it is seperated from other events so they can trigger after a rob (well if everything work as intended) and "Only Faction" should work with it also so only selected faction are able to rob, but I do not to reorganize the menu a little, will do. Interesting suggestions nonetheless thanks, keep giving me that kind of feedbacks please.
