In combat, I just got variations of "Resisted!", so I changed my stats with the console (onehanded to 100, health and stamina to 1000) just to see if that would change anything, and now I just get a "You did not successfully grabbed your victim" and the error sound I get when a power fails to activate (kind of like a whistle). After disabling defeat along with submit it continues to crash. sigh More than likely when you removed them, you forgot to remove any mod that relied on them, such as Serana Submit... If you use NMM or anything like Mod Organizer, it tells you when you click on them in the load order, what mods it relies on... so you can go through your list and find the ones that require them, and disable them as well. Also while going through the list, you can check to see if you might be missing another resource from another mod.
NeatLL Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 If Skyrim crashes on startup, I recommend using TES5Edit (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/?) to try to load your mod order. If there is a problem, it will often be able to tell you what happened, where, and why. For example, it will stop and report an error if there is a .esp file that has a dependence that is not satisfied (once when a dependence wasn't even listed as a master file). Don't try to edit anything or run anything once they are loaded, just have TES5Edit load your load order, and see what TES5Edit can, and what it says about it.

Airianna Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 That's the point of TES5Edit, to find the esp/esm that is missing that causes your crash to desktop when you start Skyrim. As for editing with it is a thing of the past, as anything edited with it, creates dirty edits that can be even worse for skyrim, Tho it can help with some issues like someone deleted instead of disabled items in a mod, that another mod calls for. and that is why they created the CK, for cleaner edits. (I don't know enough about TES5Edit to really use it myself, but there are loads of tutorials on youtube, I suggest you go watch them, perhaps you can figure it out.) Sure, you might have to run TES5Edit several times before it loads completely, as you add or remove mods that depended on other mods, or adjust your load order so it is lined up correctly, as you might have that ESP that it relies on, just too low in the load order list.
laurencius Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Sometimes Defeat seems to glitch out on me. My character is a member of the Companions, and she just got raped by Varkas. After the rape, my character is unable to activate anything, or talk to anyone (can't even use the doors), even after using the built-in clean function from the MCM Defeat menu. I tried loading from the save before the rape, but after the rape by Varkas the glitch happens. I tried reloading and player.kill, but it didn't work. Usually Defeat works fine with enemies, so this may just have to do with factions?

I got that from checking forums like http://www.loverslab.com/topic/40181-sexlab-troubleshooting/Some of it is good, some of it is bad. But in the end, you want to use the Construction Kit that is designed for modding Skyrim. On the link I just posted, ask them, they are the true experts on the subject. And it is possible that you might be lucky, or happen to know more about TES5Edit that was actually designed for another game entirely, only modded to function with Skyrim, meaning it's not for Skyrim directly, and still contains some of the code for the other game that skyrim doesn't like, hence the "dirty edits". In fact FO3Edit Training Manual is recommended for learning how to use TES5Edit, cause it is the same program just different options...

In fact FO3Edit Training Manual is recommended for learning how to use TES5Edit, cause it is the same program just different options... i use tes5edit for cleaning and sometimes patching (tes5edit cleans dirty plugins) if your not sure how to use it's very detailed and you can damage your mods or skyrim itself if you do something wrong. but guide on how to use tes5edit is right in creationkit wiki here http://www.creationkit.com/Category:TES5Edit hope this helps with some misinformation. i agree using mod organizer http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/? is probably the easiest way to find the missing masters or some missing plugin. you should just be able to open and check your save without even having to use it permanently. or use loot https://github.com/loot/loot/releases/tag/v0.6.1 bottom of page for loot use either installer or archive.7z ( loot sorts load order and will tell you of dirty plugins)
Bad Dog Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I adore TES5Edit. I always know exactly what I'm doing (except that I don't know what skyrim is doing. but the editor is clear). Whereas the CK maeks ma braynz dribbul out ma eerz.

I'm using TES5Edit for a bunch of work right now... are you saying it's doing bad stuff? I already had issues with TES5Edit where it constructed dirty edits, erased parts of the data or created a big mess. And another big problem is that it's generating a whole bunch of new IDs, changing the original IDs of a mod. So if you start the game with an esp edited by TES5Edit your game will load twice as much scripts, quests and markers - the ones from the original mod version and the ones from the edited. This leads to two or three runnings scripts and quets resulting in terrible issues, gameplay errors or even CTDs. The worst thing I once had to do was deleting a whole gameplay because TES5Edit changed something in the code of a mod and that caused my game to break down entirely. So yeah - I have had terrible experience with that shit of a tool and therefore I hate it very much! But that's not the reason why I'm posting here. I wanted to ask if there is anything known about the update. Any progress? Anything new? Or something we should know? We're already waiting several months for it. And I can't use Defeat because of the many errors it produces together with Death Alternative. But I also can't delete Death Alternative because I'm usind Sanguine Debauchery which relies on DA.

Sethala Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 So, I've been having a host of issues with this mod, and I'm not sure if it's compatibility issues or something else. Aside from Sexlab, Devious Devices, and their prerequisites, I don't have a lot of mods. I do, however, have Death Alternative: YMOYL added. Right now, two main problems seem to happen. One, even though I set the "rape chance" to 100% under the DA section, a lot of times enemies will hit me til I'm bleeding and then keep hitting me, even though they should stop to rape me. Two, when the rape is over, most of the time I just can't get up and the enemies turn around and attack (and this time kill) me all over again. Sometimes I get the resist bar to fill up and nothing happens, other times it doesn't even appear before they start beating on me again. Any advice? Edit: Well, after more fiddling, I managed to find more issues. I managed to get the wilderness defeat to happen, so at least I don't get killed immediately after rape any more. Unfortunately, once my body was dumped by a river, I couldn't stand up for a while. Eventually I zoomed into first person mode, and I could move around... only I couldn't turn properly, so moving "forward" actually moved to the side. After a bit of this, I managed to stand up and move normally, except that now I completely don't register any terrain, going towards a hill causes me to just walk straight through it and go under the world, and jumping causes me to float as if I'm falling. Think I might try completely reinstalling Skyrim with just the important mods and see if this still happens...
originalwankster Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 broken beyond use ...well plenty of people use it just fine, so, you want to elaborate a bit?
WaxenFigure Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 broken beyond use Have you tried the "Clean up" option in the MCM menu? Otherwise, if you want help give details of what is broken.
raptor63 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 broken beyond use For me too... When I use Trauma as post-assault, my character just sits there and never gets up. If I enabled Resist, I get to fill the bar by using left/right, and then I just sit on the ground and never get up. Using "Clean up" enables movement, but my character is still sitting on her ass and levitating / getting under the ground as I move around If I use "End" instead of "Trauma", she gets up but gets attacked immediately, no matter what immunity I selected in the options (Simple or Long do the same thing)
codrus Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 One off my favorite mods. Had a question. Sometimes a companion will knock down and have their way with someone. Is there a way that when they are done my character can then take their turn? Currently, for me the victim gets up and runs and the only options are 'appease' or 'speak to them'. I wish there was a knockdown option in this menu too.
NeatLL Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Are there any patches for this mod that enable tying up a sleeping NPC or "rape with player" for a tied up victim or a sleeping victim?
Derpakiin Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 The mod has some features that are working, like being raped. There is one thing that is NOT working though and that is the grab feature. Using the threshold option in MCM (100% chance to grab the victim when sneaking and behind the victim), when I draw my weapon and press 'E' I am given the option to rape the victim. But I get pushed towards the victim and the message comes up 'Did not successfully grab victim'. I've tried giving some space between the victim and myself and I've also ran FNIS several times to make sure if some grab animations were not missing. My first suspicion is that with the latest Sexlab, Defeat simply doesn't work anymore as intended because it hasn't been updates in ages. My second suspicion might be a mod conflict since the grab feature still doesn't work in a new game. However I can't pinpoint which mod it is, and they are the general Sexlab related mods which I don't consider are heavy on the scripting side or have known scripts that modify a grab feature. Right now I'm running Sexlab 1.59c SOS Sexlab Aroused Apropos Sexlab Squirt Sexlab Fill her up P.S. With that said, the rape and grab feature for Sexlab Submit DOES work fine in all conditions. I don't run Submit and Defeat at the same time, but I recommend that if Defeat is broken for some of you, then you should try Sexlab Submit as it does pretty much the same thing and is somewhat kept up to date.
GnatB Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 The mod has some features that are working, like being raped. There is one thing that is NOT working though and that is the grab feature. My first suspicion is that with the latest Sexlab, Defeat simply doesn't work anymore as intended because it hasn't been updates in ages. I noticed the same thing. Finally found a good situation to attempt to use it, and behind and sneaking, grab doesn't work in either resist or threshold settings. Now, I've frequently had grabbing work in combat scenarios, so unless it's failing because the sneaking version of the animation (and only that version) is missing, it seems like it's a problem with the odds calculation. (fwiw, I'm lvl 60, the enemy I was attempting to grab was lvl 6) (IIRC, when it does fail in combat, I'm pretty sure that's the same message I see)
NeatLL Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I suspect that the grab errors might be overflow related (like the "fortify pickpocket" bug), because I have tested with the "bonus chance" for the "resist" option. I could be resisted at low enough levels, but I could succeed. However, with too much of a bonus, I kept getting "You did not successfully grabbed your victim". I managed to fix the "fortify pickpocket" bug by allowing for 100% max success chance and 1% min success chance, and I am wondering if a similar fix would work here. I don't know how to edit the scripts for this mod, much less find and fix this problem. Until Goubo makes an official update, I think it would be a good idea to start making unofficial patches (like those for Submit) for these issues.
Slorm Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Very minor bug I came across which I assume relates to factions in some way. The Robbed event doesn't happen in Broken Oar Grotto (home of the Blackblood Marauders) though everything else works okay (rape and wilderness post event). Tested outside by spawning a normal bandit thug and Robbed worked again so looks like its something to do either with the location or the Blackbloods. Nothing to lose sleep over, just spotted it in passing
