I'm wondering if anyone is interested in patching Defeat, like some have patched Submit?

Perhaps we ought to wait on the rewrite that is being tested right now to be released before we do something like that.

 

This mod is still being supported unlike Submit.

 

 

I suppose, but the bugginess of the grabbing mechanic is just plain annoying, and it has been awhile since the last official update.

For those of you having issues with the Grab function, 1 be sure you do not use the same hotkey mixed with another mod, or it will not work... I set mine to 1 for Grabbing, and works fine. Ok, I am not going deep into it this time. About conflicts, and what knots...

I actually only seem to get the "You did not successfully grabbed your victim" at higher levels, or with higher success boosts (this is my conclusion after testing the effects of the success bonus at different levels on the same target by reloading the same targets). Also, I had this result whether I used the action key or the activate button, so I don't think it is a hotkey issue in my case.

The struggle bar remains on my screen all the time since it first triggered. It never disappears. Is there something I can do about it?

 

I guess this was already asked a long time ago in this thread, but it has become so long I could not find it in a reasonable time.

Yep it's easy to fix. Go into the MCM Defeat>General menu and click on Display Struggle Bar. That will refresh it on screen and it then disappears in a few seconds

I got a problem with mine. My character and the NPC just stands there. The NPC body will be invisible. The animation for everything else is working fine. So what do I do ? Do I have to install another mod ? 

 

I did update the FNISGenerator regularly after installing & uninstalling a mod. 

 

Mods installed (All are updated):

- FNIS Behaviour & FNIS Zoo

- SexLab

- Defeat Mod

- SkyUI & SKSE

Having issues with this mod... FNIS is reading it, but its not showing up in game. I have over 100 mods installed in various beautification, and Defeat is at the very end of my load order. Is there a better place to put it?

I got a problem with mine. My character and the NPC just stands there. The NPC body will be invisible. The animation for everything else is working fine. So what do I do ? Do I have to install another mod ?

Right, I know that.  The problem is that when the assault is done, my character sits there unable to do anything, and the enemies just stand around idling (in my case, their idle animation is pulling out a mug and drinking.... every single time, lol).  I can mash the A and D keys to make the resist meter appear.  As far as I know, up to this point is exactly how the mod is supposed to behave.

 

Where it breaks is when I fill the meter.  What's supposed to happen, I believe, is that my character has about 10 seconds to get up and run away before the bandits go hostile.  What actually happens is my character sits there, still stuck just like she was before, but after 10 seconds the bandits go hostile and attack her.  Even when she starts getting hit, she won't move, just sits there (for testing I set the health threshold to 85%, since enemies at this level tend to hit pretty weakly, so I can still take quite a few hits).

 

 

 

Not really a solution because I don't use the Defeat knockdown options typically (I stick with DA integration), but you could try toggling on the "DA Post-Assault" option in the player as victim page.  At least for me using DA triggered knockdowns, with that option you don't get the after-assault minigame or grace period, your character will just get up and the enemies will go hostile immediately after.  

 

Still not a lot of grace period, but it still gives you enough time to chug a potion and not die instantly.

 

 

Just to be clear, you mean Death Alternative, right?  Is there a different mod to use beyond YMOYL?

 

And I'll give it another go, i tried it before and it seems that it caused the wilderness event to completely break if it triggered when I was bleeding out.  Worth a shot, though.

 

 

Yea, I meant Death Alternative YMOYL.  This is just the way it is working for me with my particular setup, so may or may not work for you.  I have a bunch of stuff turned off in defeat as I'm only really interested in the player as victim on defeat part (I don't use the wilderness events/Followers as aggressors/defeat triggered knockdowns ect for the most part).  No clue if that option works with Defeat triggered events.

 

Do you have your primary an secoundary escape skill set? I think alchmey an enchantment or good

Hey, love the mod but it seems to have stopped working partially. Now there is no resist bar when I enter bleed out and I have no armbinder when captured. I have all of the necessary mods for this mod, is it a bug or did I do something wrong?

Check SEXLAB FRAMEWORK animation setting  also you have to rerun FNIS GENERATOR when ever you change something related to body,hands,feet  open FNIS click on (GENERATE FNIS FOR USER)

i want to use the voices from defeat as default for my character but they are not available in the sexlab mcm menu, how?

can you clarify defeat uses voices from your game ? or are you talking about sexlab vanilla voices

are you missing the voices & sfx setting in sexlab? should be sexlab/voices&sfx   player voices at top left. 

if your missing then it may be a sexlab mcm issue

It used to happen all the time, constant notifications about random bears raping someone off in the distance, but now nothing. I've tried sending my follower into battle without me & once they get knocked down the enemy just turns away & ignores them.

in defeat mcm do you have npc vs npc on?  also there is a setting for companions as victims or aggressors that has to be set in general settings/system

Have you tried the "Clean Up" option in the MCM Menu?

Hi,

I need your help. I somehzow cannot manage this "grabb-action" stuff:

 

When I use the action key on an NPC without weapons drwan, nothing happens.

When I use the action key on  an NPC with weapons drawn, I take the NPC and kill him/her. (And thats not what I want!!)

 

Only when I use the action key on an enemy in bleedout a menu withs some options opens.

 

What do I wrong???

You installed something wrong. Read every mod description and install instructions. Your problem is not related to this mod.

Hmm, are they argonian or khajit by any chance?

If so you will want make sure that their options in sexlab nude creatures is unchecked, unless you have the DIY replacements.

 

Pretty sure your problem isn't to do with this mod though, it's something else you've recently added/changed.

Having an issue where rape victims do not redress the option IS checked and i have re installed defeat and set it to default but they just toss their clothes on the floor regardless of settings for strip/remove/framework using the latest version of defeat. any help would be appreciated

Go to npc vs npc settings and make sure the armour and weapon fields are set to UNEQUIP, rather than STEAL or STRiP. Then make sure the same is set for victim.

did what you suggested the armour was no longer tossed on the floor but still no redress i had  was looking in my mod list when i noticed something had changed my xp32 maximum skeletons to a earlier version could this affect defeat?

No I don't think so .... try updating your skse to the newest version (1.7.2)

 

Have you recently installed a mod that would have an item that would repel clothing? Like a ring or a harness or something similar.

 

I think sexlab might have some settings to do with stripping, i'm not sure. Other than that i can't really think of anything if you're absolutely sure you have the right setting for redress checked.
