so i am having a problem whenever i surrender the game CTD after my weapon is and clothes are stripped.  if i dont surrender the sex happens just fine.  here are the last lines of the papyrus log

I would suggest updating your Papyrus Utillity that comes with Sexlab, as they have found a serious CTD bug in the coding, and have fixed it recently. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58705/?Hope that corrects your problem.

Hey guys long time Defeat user and great work on this mod Goubo, but I do think I may have a minor problem that I could use help with.  Fighting dragons doesn't trigger defeat or any sort of DA events when I'm beaten (DD+Dragon Combat Overhaul is quite a challenge) Upon zero health I get the knock down but its permanent, no death or struggle on anything just perma knock down status.  Has anyone else run into this before?  I dont think its related to being in combat because most of the time if my followers manage to kill the dragon after Im knocked down Im still in the status when combat "ends".  I was previously running with DA attached and found that DA was bugging my followers as aggressors as well as myself an thus uninstalled it.  Defeat recognizes its gone and Ive done a unistall and reinstall of Defeat to make sure.  Any ideas would help, I dont mind reloading my quick save when this happens but just wondering if I found a potential bug attached.

Sounds like you might have ALL Down sellected, at witch case, the followers have to be knocked down as well. I used to experience this bug from time to time, and drinking a health potion sometimes fixed it. And be sure to allow Creature animations in the Sexlab MCM.

 

As for being the Aggressor, you need to be sure you select "restrict Aggressive animations" in the Sexlab MCM, or you will be the aggressor with several of the sex animations when on top.

 

The only ones I am having issues with now, are the Dweemer Constructs, as they don't seem to have any sex animations included... Running around Level 1, and not leveling the character, just the skills makes it far more challenging to survive. Even with Defeat running smoothly.

Goubo, could you wire in an option to plead with the attacker post-defeat, basically a copy of the dialogue that happens on pressing the surrender key, to trigger post-defeat as well? It'd be great if they talked to you first, but with a far greater chance of them proceeding to strip you when the conversation ends. It also allows a silver-tongued character to escape Defeat scenarios. And of course, the post-defeat talk would be different as compared to the voluntary surrender.

Is anyone else using Defeat with newest Death Alteration 6.1.8?

 

Ever since I updated to DA 6.1.8 my game crush when even I try to surrender or when I enter bleed out. I testing the game new game with only defeat, DA, and Devious Capture and then mod need to run then and still get the problem of my game crush when Defeat is to start. I'm using defeat V5b3.3 fixed.

Hello there, I recently got defeat again, and may I say great work for one, but I did run into a bug when playing. It would seem whenever my character is downed and they try to rape her nothing happens, and she stays downed, sometimes hitting spaces moves it along sometimes hitting tab does it and sometimes nothing helps. It seems to only happen with the rape as the other sexlab mods seem to work fine. I first noticed this when I attacked the torturer and let him to down me to see if the mod works, after my character just sat there on the ground kneeling as if the rape was going to happen, but I waited a long while and nothing, after hitting tab and space from time to time he started to rape her, then by hitting space the scene played out normalish, then I while fighting bandits my character was downed, they stole her gear as I set it to steal to not strip and then my character rose up wielding her fear spell and unarmed attack, but nothing proceeded. I had to go to main menu, then I tired fighting them again and same thing happened. After I tired hitting the clean up button then exiting the menu. I waited for it to happen then unchecked the allow male and female boxes exited and rechecked them. Tried to go about the surrender option and nothing happened with the sex again until I hit tab which caused our characters to freeze up with the arms spread out as if I didn't run FNIS (but I did) then the rape occurred, but only if I kept on hitting tab, after another try the tab thing didn't work. Do you mind telling me what is going on and how can I go about fixing it? Also I noticed how a post mentioned having all down selected. I do happen to have that checked as well, do you think unselecting it will help in this case?

I'm using DA 6.1.8 without problems though it was a clean install not an update

I uninstall then old version of the mod before I install the newer version but it always happen when defeat would go off or when I have Defeat install. Do anyone know what could be making the conflict?

Did you clean out the old scripts as well, it can be a bit tricky detaching Defeat from DA if you update it. Basically you are better off uninstalling both DA and Defeat at the same time then use a script cleaner before reinstalling updated versions of DA then Defeat

Agreed, a script cleaner is needed, I use a Save Tool off the Nexus, it's dirty, and not 100% reliable, but works in most of these cases, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?

 

Uninstall both, make a clean save, use the tool on the save, load the modified save, make another save, then install defeat. That should clean up your saved game. Doesn't help with the scripts in the script folder tho.

I use the 1.13beta version myself which seems to work well. I've no idea if it will run on Windows 8 as I use Win7 but I would assume it will.

 

Bear in mind that script cleaners can damage or break a save so always keep a backup before using one and if a save is too damaged it can be impossible to fix

Yeah, I noticed that some people/places have begun putting the day first and then the month. Its very annoying, since we don't we don't read/talk that way.

When someone asks you: "when's Christmas?" (just for example) the common reply is always: "December 25th". That's just how people think/talk.

 

Nice to hear that updates are still being worked on. I was wondering if this mod had been dropped, but I didn't want to be one of those people that constantly come on asking for updates. Modders have real lives too.

Actually (British) ....I would say the 25th of December....it must just be the way Americans think/talk.

 

Really looking forward to the release. In terms of the factions part of the mod that you said would be released separately after the next release, is this because they wont be ready for the next release? Or is it because the rest of it needs to be finished before they can be added?

so im kinda new to modding and i have just currently installed this mod, enabled it but every time i tried to grapple an npc it says somewhere along the line "failed to grab". to explain what i did was i press shift and g. anyone mind helping me out here?

There is only a chance it works based on your skills to theirs and how much health they have and maybe how much health you have. I forget exactly, you can tweak things in the MCM to give you a better chance.

Instead of using numbers for the month, it makes it easier to just spell out the month (or abbreviate it) so that way everyone will understand   :)

As there are only 12 months in a year, up to 31 days in a month, those who don't know the system currently in use by the modder could get confused if both numbers are 12 or less, unless both are the same number.

 

As for the year/month/day format, is totally optional, but is the best for helping to keep track of transactions/modifications by the year. (business orientation 101)

I like the many options that this mod includes but I keep running into one MASSIVE problem. 10 seconds is not enough time to get away from anything, especially when your stamina has been drained and your health is near zero. The only thing that happens is getting knocked down repeatedly until you finally get killed, then reload to before anything happened.

 

I don't understand how this mod got so much functionality when there is no option to extend your 'getaway' timer. Without it, I cannot get this mod to integrate into normal combat.

Worst case, keep moving in one direction until your attackers are naturally far enough away they stop noticing you.
