Also more body shame, humiliation, etc. Definitely want to do a better job of covering the psychological and emotional impact of eating disorders and weight issues, things like body dysmorphia, feederism, toxic diet culture... I love this so much. This is why I've been using the TSEX framework. Lots of good bits there already. Dysmorphia, I started pondering this tonight. Weight disorders can be easily achieved with BodyGen. Anorexia for sure. We all often forget to eat in this game, unlike Skyrim where one ate for Hp gain. I suffer from anorexia if I don't pay attention, so I can relate. I go days without the thought of eating. I just lost a close friend to this hateful thing, so that's been, pardon, making me fucking mental lately because I miss her so much. When someone so beautiful thinks they are so ugly, there is something wrong with this world. This is part why I've been absent lately. I kept DMing her account til her brother told me she had passed. Ugh. Thus the sanity framework. What does it really mean to be sane? This is unchartered waters to be sure. Edited April 18, 2023 by Sthan Dust
MysticDaedra Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I personally tend to prefer dialogue windows for most things. You can generally put a lot more text there (if needed/desired), and there's no chance of missing what is happening. For inner monologue, either regular dialogue (as it is currently implemented) or notification windows are probably fine. But if there is a status change to the PC, or an event or anything like that happening, then I'd prefer a dialogue window to pop up. 1
Sthan Dust Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 See Ive been playing the Sanity Framework in many games. A close friend asked I add this to the playlist. ??? I love this.

I assume you're referring to what the CK calls a MessageBox, which pauses the game and has one or more selection buttons at the end (vs a Notification which shows in the top-left corner for a few seconds and then scrolls off, generally recommended not to exceed 42 letters in length). There is a third, lesser-used message referred to as a Tutorial, those don't pause the game but persist in the corner of the display much longer and can include a graphic and better accommodate multiple lines of text. Additionally, there are tricks that can be used to display messages as actual subtitles or narrative text, though they're less reliable since users often play without subtitles and narration text enabled. And lastly, a mod can add custom UI elements to display text anywhere on the screen, but that can become a mess really quickly and has a tendency to trigger CTDs (especially for users who lack an expanded memory manager like the one from Buffout 4). 1

astor Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I"m sorry to hear about your friend, it can really hurt to lose someone. We are here if you need to vent and/or talk about it. /virtual hug 1
astor Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I prefer the little diague thoughts at the bottom of the screen (more "immersive") as opposed to the notifications that i barely ever actually notice. This mod is the only thing that actually keeps the player in the story, imo. 1. Wake up in a freezer. 2. See husband dead, son missing. 3. Brief panic 4. Rescue Preston and Granny 5. Spend the next weeks and months rebuilding the commonwealth with barely a thought to the two most important people in the PC's life. I like how this mod reminds the PC of what they've lost, though i would like some more random thoughts about that and other things. The Alice in Wonderland thought was great the first time, but after the sixth or seventh... 1

I will take a look at "advanced needs" It may be conflicted with the FPER and WLD things. Thanks, Sthan! Appreciate it! I'll also help if I found it on this playthrough. I'm sorry if I can't do much debugging but the problem of the "no-tentacle-attack" seems to be go hand in hand with the Check Beast(ess) Status menu. if one of them isn't working, they both are experiencing some flag/s.
Laezel Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 (edited) After almost being at the end, after the "cabin at the lake" i needed to go to the rabbithole. (i am assuming its the one at the start in concord? or is there a new one for especially that part of progress?) Nothing changed there, do i need to wait? is it bugged? Or am i blind? Love the Mod by the way, thank you so much for this. Edited April 19, 2023 by AverageSkyrimEnjoyer

astor Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Sometimes in combat, i get this purple cloud around myself, companions and npcs, like the life detect in skyrim. the problem is that it makes the companions, fade into invisibility.
astor Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 i've crawled all over DC Market and i found two notes; the chapel and where teh catcher sits. The clue suggests a third in the dc market area, but i could use a bit more help with that one.
BAB PEEG Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 Is tsex suppose to be a main framework like skyrim has? I always wondered why fallout didn't get one.

What do you mean by "main framework"? If you're referring to the FO4 equivalent of Sexlab, that would be AAF. TSEX is a fleshed out fork of Hardship.

TSEX is a fleshed out fork of Hardship. Well, more specifically, TSEX is a collection of utility features extracted from the original Hardship and heavily overhauled. There is a new rewrite of Hardship which uses TSEX, but TSEX itself is intended to be useful by other mods besides Hardship too. 1
vaultbait Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 5 hours ago, BAB PEEG said: Is tsex suppose to be a main framework like skyrim has? I always wondered why fallout didn't get one. The Fallout 4 modding scene has evolved into pluggable/modular collaboration which leads to a proliferation of smaller frameworks intended for use together in a mix-and-match fashion. There's AAF for abstracting calls to play animations, Sex Attributes for various physical and psychological impacts on the player character, SAKR for tracking nudity/skimpiness, Devious Devices for bondage equipment/escape, Real Handcuffs for usable handcuffs and electronic slave collars, Torture Devices for interactive bondage furniture, Bad End Animations for death/near-death torture, Violate for combat surrender and rape, Bound in Public for short-term abductions and punishment, Autonomy for spontaneous sex between arbitrary NPCs, and so on. There are also lots of examples of older mods which fill similar roles but have been abandoned, discarded or supplanted by newer and more robust solutions. TSEX fills a role similar to Sex Attributes, but with different features and a different approach (they can be used together but have a small amount of overlap for things like orgasms, rape trauma, wear/overuse, etc). 1
BAB PEEG Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Sorry, yeah I meant like sexlab, fo4's modding seems so scattered it was hard to know where to start at the beginning.

Robert T Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Is there a design document for the various effects in the game? I dont really know what stage of various mental ailments or items actually do and am not really seeing effects in my game
katrina.balanchuk Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) So I am trying this out a bit. But I noticed the Statistics in the Debug area in the MCM where it is suppsoed to show you what you did shows 0 for everything for me. and its for sure not zero. If it it not tracking her adventures and misadventures I suspect the basic sanity check is not tracking either. Probbaly amod conflict. Has this been out long enough that we have a usual suspects list? Edited June 11, 2023 by katrina.balanchuk
Plaguetard2.0 Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Greetings. So, I'm stilling having this random issue, and wasn't sure if anyone else experiences it. 90% of the time, this mod works without issue. Then every now and then the tentacle scene bugs out. Upon the tentacle attack, AAF shows it is gathering data, PC becomes frozen, and screen fades to black to run the animation. However, it stays with a black screen, there is a loading scene on the bottom right, and it doesn't ever come back. I can tell the game is running, because I can hear NPCs walking by or even talking to PC, but it never loads in completely. I tried doing a dump in the debug settings, but it doesn't ever dump the file log. I've let it sit for 5 minutes, and it just won't ever unfade. If I save it, and load, I will load in with a naked PC, but I can't control the PC (still frozen and waiting for... something?). This only happens every so often. Otherwise all the tentacle animations work without issue prior to this. The only way I can fix it, is to load a last save, uninstall the mod, go in and save without the mod, then go out, re-enable, and play again, though resetting my sanity. Any thoughts on the issue, or how to troubleshoot? Thanks much.
ebbluminous Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 try using things like Esc, T and Enter. Sometimes you can get a hidden menu you need to clear. Not had this happen on this mod, butI've experienced it on others with a fade to black
Triggs Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 hmm.. can i ask exactly how the "book" look like? i mean it said Red Rocket... and all books all the ground.. but i can't find anything look like a book on the ground ?
angrykiwi Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 I have found the book "The witch of the Wood" which gave me a perk (i'd assume it's the beastess related), is this a quest or gameplay related? So far i've found only 3 hostile wolves near the dwelling.
