The aggressive tentacles don't seem to work on the player but they do work if an npc gets too close, also could there be a way to disable attacks if the player has a weapon out?

Good evening, my loves.

 

You may believe I've abandoned you, but that is not the case.  The last 4 months, I've been buying a house, and I've gotten engaged to SO.  Very fortunate that we can marry now.  We are a lesbian couple.  So rubbish around that.

 

Be that as it may, we move to our new home in  5 days.  That has kept me offline quiet a bit.  However, Sanity Framework is still my passion.  Just give me a bit longer to focus on it properly. New CK is coming, and an enhanced FO4. 

 

Full disclosure, I played about 4 months of BG3, its lovely.  I've played 20 hours of Starfield.  I'm not keen on it.  

 

So Sanity Framework dev is in full swing, just give me space to move.

I have an idea to make a small adjustment to the tentacles function of the mod.  As is, an aggressive tentacle will spawn after the tentacle attack that will start another tentacle sex animation if the player gets too close.  You have to intentionally get close to the aggressive tentacle for anything to happen.  The aggressive tentacle after the initial attack is just offering another round of sex.  Since the additional tentacle is only there for a few minutes, maybe it should be the hypnotic tentacle instead that drains the willpower of the player character to resist another round of sex.  It is more insidious than just an offer.  Whenever you feel motivated to start adding some things to the mod, consider adding a tentacle type option to the additional tentacle in the MCM so the user can choose the aggressive tentacle or hypnotic tentacle.

First of all, I admit I played the mod for all of 20 minutes. I like the idea of the mod as to effecting the character. I uninstalled for only one reason. I don't like that killing automatically lowers your alignment. Self defense and the defense of other can be acceptable reasons to kill and not become evil. Hell killing certain people, depending on your outlook, can possibly be a good thing (Raiders, Slavers). Following this mod because I'm certainly interested, just would like to see a little more options for tweeking the sanity system to better suit character development and playstyles. I'll be keeping an eye on this mod. I think it has a lot of immersion potential. The fact it has a story to go along with it I think adds flavor. Hope you decide to implement support for alt. start. Kinda jarring when my character is a post war wastelander.

While you can place a tentacle anywhere you want with console commands, an aggressive tentacle spawn grenade would be a hilarious addition.  It needs to not aggro the nearby NPCs during the tentacle spawn via grenade toss so it can be used in Diamond City.  The people there abuse my girl due to the Sexual Harassment mod and the Provocative Perks mod so I like abuse them back by dressing them funny with the NPC Inventory Manipulation Gun and using the Animal Seducer mod to make them have sex with creatures.  A grenade that spawns an aggressive tentacle that exists for maybe 5 minutes would be great.  I have noticed that despite the player character being "raped" by the tentacles, it is treated as a consensual act by the system so there is no trauma.  The message that comes with after the tentacle attack indicates it is a violation yet it is not registered as player raped.

The Book of Alex that the mod indicates is at the church in Far Harbor is actually the one found in the Rabbit Hole next to the sick bear right?  I have looked all over inside and outside of that church and there is nothing.  I found the rest of the books though so if the one in the Rabbit Hole is that book, I guess I found them all.  I see the mind splinters in the list of perks but I don't know how they work or what they actually do.  Also, I don't know what that button is supposed to do in the bunker at the End of the Line.  Then there are the wolves at that location.  The Witch of the Woods indicates they are pets and I should go out to the woods live with and protect the animals but the animals are all just hostile and immediately attack the player character.  If you have AAF Violate, they will also rape the player character if you don't kill the wolves first.   Those wolves are not pets.

I see here that others are having difficulties finding the various notes, as am I.  I won't go into details because I would just be repeating what others have already posted.

 

I appreciate all the work you have obviously put into this,  but I can't finish it.  The notes I've found are too cryptic and there are too many I just can't find.   Still, what I was able to accomplish was well written and entertaining.  Thank you for that.

Ah, I was aiming more for the lines that the raider guys in the sewer underneath were talking about, since it ends on a pun "bein' Thoreau" for being thorough.  Task failed successfully I guess.  Glad it kinda helped.  :)

Hmm having the same issue as someone else, with Advanced needs 76, the mod seems to break, sadly, no amount of reinstalling seems to be able to fix it. Also unsure if the "beasts" section is supposed to be empty? Easy fix, Advanced Needs 76 must load AFTER Sanity framework. Still no clue if the beasts section is supposed to be empty. But the check beasts value works.

 

I am guessing the animated tentacle is not hardbaked into this mod. It can no longer be downloaded from loverslab, and the links are dead in the installation section. If you can somehow find the forum section of animated tentacles mod, someone was kind enough to share it on a seperate link, but that sync mod is unobtainable I guess. 

 

Dear stan, I meant to write you sooner, but I just been busy... wait wrong stan. Shtan, it seems this project is very close to your heart. I sincerely thank you for the commitment and that we can enjoy it with you. I have no idea what im in for, and quite frankly, I dont care much for the overal sexual violence. But I am very intrigued to see and explore this sanity system.

 

Possible Bug : was having crashes in sanctuary, through buffout 4 and CLASSIC (the buffout 4 crash log scanner) it told me it could possibly be caused by broken navmeshes. (I think its wrong though, as this CTD was only happening when I was using vats during a specific raider attack)

 

Backstory done, I had to use the plugin checker on wryebash, and it said this mod had 2 deleted navmeshes. Which if a NPC uses this, it can cause CTD. Thought I would let you know, in case nobody else did. No clue if this is something that can be a false positive since obviously, im using a heavily modded game. lol

Love the mod tho, when I entered the rabbit hole I had a jump scare because

 

as I turned around, my current companion (deacon) was sitting on the couch being a shadow creature. lmao

I was tracking down some previsibine problems in Diamond City (it turned out to be Animated Candles), but while I was doing it, I noticed that the Sanity Framework has like 50 unresolved precombine references in Cell - Block 8 - Sub-Block 3. No idea what effect that could have.
