It's not "incompatible with AAF" (I use it quite happily with the accompanying TSEX-Hardship mod and it does work fine). If you're following The Fucking Manual and want to be able to ask folks on the AAF Discord for assistance getting mods working, then yes, don't use TSEX because it may have conflicts with things they recommend (specifically UAP, if memory serves). If you're savvy enough with the AAF ecosystem to be able to figure out these sorts of things yourself, then consider giving TSEX a try, the TSEX rewrite of Hardship has some excellent new features that original Hardship did not. If you're just starting out with the AAF ecosystem and are likely to need help figuring out mod conflicts and troubleshooting, then TSEX is not (yet) for you. 2

I could very well imagine that the two versions of Hardship are conflicting, or that one overwrites the other depending on the load-order. If I were you, I'd limit the game to one version, particularly if other mods aren't working as they are supposed to do. Which in your case is the case.

These are probably questions better addressed to the Hardship and/or TSEX support topics in the forum, but if you're at this stage of troubleshooting you're probably better off removing both of those and starting a new playthrough (or at least rolling back to a save where neither of them was installed yet). Add mods like Hardship (or TSEX-Hardship if you're willing to take that risk and thumb your nose at The Fucking Manual, definitely not both together) only once you're certain more basic functionality is working. I am also in the midst of buying a house, so that's been stressful to say the least, with the American housing market. I will look into these issues tomoz for sure. Most are minor issues. Regarding TSEX. I have been running all versions of this mod and, 1) I love it. b) I have never had issues. It is a solid mod, and I agre with @vaultbait It is mislabled in the Fucking Manual. Might be confused because I thought I've seen them in the required mods for this one but it might me a mistake on my end,thing is I don't recall which mod needed Hardship to run properly, so I'm going to cross my fingers and keep things like that for the moment in fear of breaking my install Regarding Sanity Framework, it seems everything in the mod but the tentacles works, my characters has random thoughts, but the only way to get a tentacle to attack me is to spawn it via console command

Well, it's Tentacus who labeled it a "modders resource" on the file page, mainly so as not to overpromise and make it clear it was unfinished to his high standards. If tentacle attacks are not spawning, Disable then enable tenacles in the Beastess menu. Sometimes it doesn't see the mod as being enabled. But I reworked this code for the next release. I am still looking into the other issues. I'll have an update tomorrow ❤️ 2

Did all that but no luck on my part, I think my install is somewhat broken bc the mod can't spawn tentacles, I guess I'm good for starting over and use a less heavy mod list to avoid conflicts

Sthan Dust Posted March 25, 2023 Author Posted March 25, 2023 Sorry Lovelies, I meant to publish an update this evening, but life is infinitely more important than the mod. I will be posting tomoz "Saturday" in the afternoon. I do think I've figured most of the minor issues. However, for those that have not luck with tentacles working, Logs would be helpful for me. I am also going to create a clean install with all the new updates to the AAF ecosystem tomorrow. Perhaps that will help me troubleshoot faster. Again, thank you all of your continued support in the mod. ❤️ SD

It seems we are missing the roleplay capabilities ,such as physical consequences for depression. In no particular order: A depressive personality either prefers being alone or seeks the approval of others so in game I should get to choose. If a solo option, plus buffs and negative buffs if you play with companions (? in game penalties) If seeks approval, plus buffs if with companions and negative if alone. A depressive personality usually is prone to addicton. If depressed (in game fatigue?) alchohol, drugs, sex will boost buffs. Addiction becomes necessary to function in game regardless of consequence. A depessive personality will be fatigued easier than someone stable. More sleep or rest will sort that but risks more danger staying in one spot so long. What about binges? Eating? Could show weight gain, slowing character down? I do not have all the answers to my thoughts. You are the story teller and modder, but if my character is going to moan and groan about being down, I should feel the physical weight of that depression. I just do not know how to mod that. Also, as to tentacles, they represent our guilt and are attracted to our depression. The more bummed out we are, more frequent the attacks. Happy thoughts keep them away!

MysticDaedra Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 (edited) I already have Hardship: Beggar Whore installed as I'm using the Wasteland of Depravity WJ modlist. I'm assuming it would not be advisable to uninstall the original Hardship to install TSEX due to potentially-baked-in scripts, although I haven't actually used it yet in my currently playthrough. That being said... What kind of integration has been made with Sanity Framework and TSEX that would make me consider switching anyways? EDIT: I went ahead and just added without trying to replace Hardship with TSEX. Maybe next time! The version number in MCM seems to be incorrect, it says version 2.09 (Tentacle Release), but I am using version 2.10 (Mother Release)?
