Ay, I got a problem with fallout, the toy didn't trigger and I didn't find what it's not working
I think it's a problem with my mod list but I am not able to find it

@Min Can you do a plain CTRL+C to stop or is there a special method to stop the program also do you need to specify specific command line attributes to start? Is it currently a Windows Service for use with Windows or can go go Unix or Linux Daemon?

Can people send you for inclusion any config files for Windows Service or POSIX Daemon wrapper information?

If you launch it by running "python GameInterfaceForToys.py", you can just Ctrl+C it.  If you launched it with the executable, just close it.

There shouldn't be anything windows specific about the program (Uncheck the "Is OS Windows" checkbox in settings to make sure that paths are formatted correctly). It's not designed to be a service or daemon at present. Feel free to contribute those sorts of changes to the github though, if you're interested.

EDIT: Thinking about this a little more, some of the bluetooth stuff might be a hassle to get working on Linux for dg-lab estim support. Everything else should work though I think.

That depends on whether dg-lab estim's bluetooth is compatible with BlueZ on Linux. Also the Daemon can still be configured and the modules for the different parts even dg-lab estim can easily be prepared with a Webmin module, though better with a Cockpit Project Cockpit based extension, either through C++ or if utilising the new cockpit-bridge written in Python. So the bridge can be used to communicate with the parts needed to setup the more difficult features such as dg-lab estim.

Yeah. I recall hitting issues running it on WSL, though on native Linux the story may be different. Let me know if you end up trying it out.

You ran into issues when using WSL as its based around container technology, are confinement of software running within container from accessing hardware resources (e.g. Bluetooth) and host software outside container. People have found workarounds but I don't know how long those will last, unless official support is added to WSL then it may later stop working. However bare metal and virtual machines will work as the can be access directly as a virtual machine Bluetooth device or forwarded to the VM as a host hardware device.

You can use either a bare metal installation on an actual Server, NAS or a Intel NUC 9 or 10 Kit PC which can directly access the hardware. Though using a VM is the best option for accessing the Bluetooth (BlueZ stack) along with the hardware. You could use containers though don't try this with WSL as the Bluetooth hardware isn't supported, MicroK8s is more customisable.

Any Idea how to acquire the E-stim UID, been trying to find a way but have come up short.

Pair the device in Windows, and then look at the device properties. You can find the id like that.

Released GIFT 1.3.4. This update is focused around adding support for new games, and adding support for new mods. X-Toys integration has been added, but is disabled currently pending bugs being fixed in the webhook.

  •  Refactored project to support multiple interfaces.
    •         Added new interface - Screen Reader
    •         Added new interface - Memory Reader (Not used by anything yet)
  •     Added WIP Xtoys interface. Webhook for this is not published yet as some issues with it are being worked out. Will be included shortly.
  •     Added Practical Defeat support for Chaster.
  •     Added Acheron and Yamete Kudasai support.
  •     Numerous bugfixes for many things.
  •     Add support for new game: Night of Revenge. Implemented via either the screen reader, or via an included plugin with the log reader. The plugin based approach has superior latency and precision, and is recommended unless you cannot run it for some reason.

And, one more quick little release...

https://github.com/MinLL/GameInterfaceForToys/releases/tag/1.4.0

GIFT 1.4.0:

  • Adds more Test Shock buttons.
  • Enabled XToys support. See the updated readme for instructions on how to setup. A huge thanks to @SprintElek for writing the xtoys webhook!
  • Event config modal is now resizable. Intended to fix issues with this menu for low resolution users.

Fo4 support is fairly rudimentary; The frameworks for it do not log useful messages like Skyrim's do. As such, it's implemented through various mods logging messages. For Fo4, those are Devious Devices and Boston Devious Helper (for detecting scene start / end). GIFT is looking for this line" +DD: Player in AAF animation" to trigger the start of the scene. You can change these messages if you'd like by editing the included yaml files (In data/events/games/fallout4).

Hey, so just out of curiosity. Does GIFT support estim devices through xtoys? Or is it only the coyote. If not, is there a way I could get a non coyote estim device working with a workaround?

@Benchmark137 @MrBadAss Hey - The above release should enable stroker support (Via the xtoys interface); Try it out and let me know how it works?

So, ive done some testing.
Getting hurt, and the bonds from devious devices work.
But any sex acts, consensual, creatures, or defeat, do not work.

Only the coyote is supported natively, but any estim supported by xtoys will work through that interface. So, it should work with just about anything now.

In which game? Skyrim? Those are all independent of the interface being used (Xtoys). Make sure that you followed the setup instructions on the readme. The most common cause of sex acts not working is the character's name not being set correctly in the settings.

Gotcha, so one of my devices was modified to be able to connect via bluetooth and I would also like to connect it. I found a workaround where I can treat it as a vibrator in xtoys. Would it be possible to have GIFT use that "vibrator" as if it was an estim device? If not, is it something that would be even possible to implement? I would be interested in maybe helping with that.

Additionally, there is a program called restim on github that allows estim control through intiface and buttplug. Would that be something that has support, or could be worked on?

If there are any other solution you had thought of/ know of, please let me know!

does this work using sexlab defeat baka edition? (spesificly for the chaster integration)
as i noticed there isnt a spesific one for it under the configure events.
but thought id ask incase there is another roundabout way of using it with this mod that wasnt spesified/me just doing something wrong.

@Min I must always start my comments to this thread by repeating how awesome is this mod! Super Kudos!

Apart from that, just a suggestion, in case you are interested in expanding on the supported games, there is one game that might really fit your framework: Solas City Heroes.

(For who doesn't know it, it's on steam, it's a technically 3d but I guess a 2.5d side scrolling beat'em up with full bondage, toys, and sex scenes implementations)

That would be possible, yeah. The script on the xtoys side would need to be converted to use a generic device type instead of the estim device type. This is a pretty easy change to make, if you want to check out the script. I am not likely to add support for restim, as I have no use for it, and pretty much everything is supported through the available interfaces.

Yes. I use that version, incidentally. This will work fine. It should work with most versions of defeat.

Was is meant by "GIFT executable"? The python file "GameInterfaceForToys.py" doesn't open for me?

GIFT is written in python. Users can either install python and all of its dependencies, or just download the packaged executable from the releases page. This permits users to run GIFT without having to do all of that setup. Either way works, but running the executable is easier.

So all is done up and good to go, I can do the tests for sex and vibrate all that and it works the toy.  But when in game it gives me this line on everything and the toy never triggers.

" no native object bound to the script object, or object is of incorrect type ".  Not sure what to do for that.

Share more of GIFT's output. That's not enough to go on.
