For anyone still or subsequently interested, this seems to be a simple fix. The script seems to be failing as a result of a bad reference, (probably due to a SCR update or something). Same thing for the spore quest. I’ve attached an xEdit screenshot with an example fix that works for me. All you have to do is replace the reference.

@Sweet Dave, would you mind uploading your copy of the fixed Version? That way we can contact a mod here and have it uploaded directly to the main file. Otherwise it will get lost in the jumble of pages.

Thanks!

So in this one I replaced the bad refs with what I thought was supposed to be there, from what was written in the scripts. I also recompiled the two scripts too.

The originally prison scenario seemed to be adding a bunch of items to the player that:

A. Were never equipped.

B. Conflicted/couldn't be worn together.

So I changed that one slightly to instead add what I though was appropriate to the scenario, and to actually equip them also. All stuff from SCR, so compatibility shouldn't have changed.

Keeps glitching. Is there a reason why?

Please define 'Glitching'. Also please post load- and install-orders if possible

Does anyone know if there's a way to make this work with TTW, even if it's just the more bare-bones functions (getting knocked out and waking up somewhere with missing gear, no need for the dream sequences or heroes)?

As it is I tried it and I get knocked out, the hero runs up to me, and then nothing, it just stays like this.

Question:

I want to increase the chance/odds of dreaming while sleeping. How would I go about doing so? I'm using xEdit, but I could load up the geck if necessary.

It just seems like, the chance of actually dreaming seems really really low. I've had dreams, but I'd like them to be a bit more frequent. I've looked through the thread and didn't see anything, maybe I missed it...

But yeah, how would I go about increasing the chance of a dream when sleeping. TIA.

IIRC you can do that in the MCM. There ought to be an option that will make you dream every time or something like that.

Nope. Just a tick box to toggle a "low chance of dreaming when sleeping"...

That's why I was wondering about how to increase the chances in the backend. Fired up xEdit, but nothing jumped out. Admittedly, I didn't spend long looking...figured maybe someone here might point me in the correct direction. ;)

Cheers!

So far I understand, you have a 20% chance of trigger if you haven't had a dream recently (fLastDream := GameDaysPassed + 3). Script is RobarOnSleepDreamQuestScript. 20% is quite high.

I'll have to take a look.

I wouldn't call 20% high, at least for me. I do get dreams when sleeping, but they are very very rare. In my current playthrough, I am 3/4 of the way through the MQ and I've had one dream.  In my last playthrough I think I had a total of 2.

People dream more than that, at least...that's how I feel.

I kinda wish there was a slider to set the percentage. But it's fine. I'll have to load things up and check the script. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Cheers!

You can dream once every three days. Maybe you're moving too fast? :)

Nah. I tested this. I used sleep/wait. It didn't fire once in a five day stretch. However, I did have some dreams, as I said...just randomly sleeping organically as I played.

I rarely fast travel in NV. I walk/run everywhere, camp out when it's dark. That's part of the fun. That said, I mean...could be a script conflict, but then...I have had dreams. But, it definitely feels like 20% is too low. Honestly, this is one of those features where it should be adjustable in the MCM. I wouldn't know the first thing about doing so, so I am content to change some script variables, compile, and test to my liking. Now that I'm back from my weekend camping trip, I intend to start doing the aforementioned tuning/testing.

But first...a shower. ;)

Cheers!
