Have you reached the Falmer village with the large sheeting waterfall as a backdrop? You have to jump down the waterfall. You'll then land in moving water and get deposited in a small grotto. When you are fully inside, a treasure chest will rise from the floor, containing the first toy.

If the post above has not helped...

  1. Which cave? I'm going to guess it's Passage, not Darkfall?
  2. Do you have your Curious Curio quest active in your Journal? If no, set it active, you will have a map marker. With a map marker, there is no issue
  3. If you have no map marker, you are likely running on a corrupt save, with brings me to these 2 questions:
  4. Did you start a new game when you first installed Toys? Its the requirement. If no, this is likely your problem.
  5. Have you broken the Golden Rule?

Yes, made it past that part. Made to the specter by the other shrine, but he does not have a conversation with me that helps.

Yeah, the ghost from DLC1 doesn't have any dialogue in TS. If you have obtained the toy from the waterfall, then when you step onto the lip of the shrine itself (the hexagonal marble floor part), then Wojtek should teleport in next to you and start a scene that leads you to the next area.

Correct, I am in the passage. I had a quest marker originally but it is not there now. I will have to go back and look to see if I somehow turned it off. As far as I can remember, it was a new game. If that turns out to be the issue, I will start again. Need to tweak cursed loot anyways. Some reason it is hitting me DD every other container/body. Will go back now and check it out.

So this was where I encountered the error. Moved it from Hot & Wet review (Sorry).

was related to the cellar/cave are not being a public area which was easily fixed in SSEdit. I found the solution in the comment thread (copy over last record in to ESL, copy across the public area from toy workshop). In my case I think LUX had overwritten it.

 

Reason I called it a cellar was purely due to the record in SSEdit. I copied the Lux record in to a new esl and copied over the Public Area.

 

EDIT: Of course I highlighted the wrong record in the left pane - should be the cellar doh...

The other solution is to have Toy Story loading after Lux.

Since most users cannot be expected to use XEdit, that's the solution I've included in the updated Known Mod Conflicts.

Hi, I have a question about the Toy Story quest. When I enter the winterhold Inn to talk to Nelacar, after I exhaust his dialouge he wants me to follow him, but he just stays standing there. Toys should be correctly installed (I followed the goldenrule) and I have MCM menu's for both Toys and Toy story. Using the console to progress the quest doesnt do anything either. Do you have any tips on how to resolve this?

Known Mod Conflicts - Toy Story  You may have CoTN: Winterhold which conflicts, or we are finding another mod conflict.

 

So do you have CoTN: Winterhold? If not do you have another mod that similarly, changes that location?

Haha we had the same thought. When I read the original post my first thought was "X-Marker moved or inaccessible, or navmesh conflict"

I indeed had a different mod that changed the tavern, ty so much. Is this the only quest that breaks with similar mods, or should i keep it turned off to be safe?

Please name the mod, so I can include it in that Mod Conflicts doc. :D 

 

All known conflicts for all mods done by the Toys Team, are in their respective "Known Mod Conflicts doc".  Search Mod Conflicts in FAQs & Troubleshooting. You can check before installing mods since we link these docs on each set of install instructions.

 

Also, it sounds like you have disabled the mod, then re-enabled it, mid-playthrough. If true, your save is now corrupt. See Golden Rule.

 

The only safe way to handle this... remove conflicting mod.... start new game (unless you know how to remove the conflict using XEdit).

Good point, ill keep that in mind. The mod that was conflicting was ''Holds the city overhaul''.

I know COTN winterhold breaks the scene with Nelacar, and assume its his Xmarker not existing due to COTN winterhold removing it.

It may not need a patch, if a more elegant workaround is found.

Having an issue at the orc stronghold.

 

Playing as a vampire running Sacrosanct, Millonce just repeatedly tells me "you're not supposed to be in here". I think the issue may be caused by the cell being "owned", and even though I have the trespassing curse disabled in Sacrosanct, she just keeps repeating it over and over, effectively blocking me from advancing the quest. Until that point, everything worked fine.

 

Is the cell being owned required? Or can I edit it to remove the ownership and make it public?

It sounds like you have some conflicts relating to the top level cell record for that area. I'm on my phone right now so I can't look up exactly how I patched that record, but I believe I did have to forward a public area flag from TS to my conflict resolution patch.

Skyrim Vanilla default... without the cell set to owned, since it's an Orc Stronghold, you get  "you're not supposed to be in here" because you are trespassing. So Toy Story sets it to owned. I tried many other approaches and only that one works.

 

I'm not familiar with Sacrosanct or its "trespassing curse". I'd guess that disabling it is not taking the owned scenario into consideration... you are trespassing still, because its an Orc Stronghold.

 

I don't know a solution here. Possibly Toy Story needs to load after Sacrosanct, but this seems too complex too require only that. Need to confirm it's Sacrosanct first, then I'd have to list it in Known Mod Conflicts. I'd look for a workaround in a future release.

 

If you want to spend the time you could try Toy Story after in your Load Order and/or temporary removal of Sacrosanct, but this load order change will corrupt your save so don't save. The test is not certain without starting a new game either, and you'd have to start a new game to use this as a solution.

The issue's not necessarily Sacrosanct. It could be any mod that loads after Toy Story if that mod makes any changes at all to the cell. Even moving something simple like moving a chair or something will add a top level cell record for the basement to the plugin, which will wipe out TS's ownership/ public area flag edits.

I tried everything I could think of before I made the initial report. Including shuffling the load order around. I pulled out the last save so I can run some tests on it later, and consoled past the issue by placing a duplicate Millonce at me outside of the cell, and then disabled the duplicate after the spanking scene. So I'm off to the next part ?

 

One possibility is that the enabled state of the curse may be persistent. I can't remember if it's enabled by default or not, so I'll look into that as well. Though I did notice that the cell was set to "PlayerFaction". I'll assume you already tried to set ownership to the player ref already?

I'll report anything I find in testing. For now I just want to see more ?

I had considered that, but found nothing that loads after it that edits any orc strongholds. I don't think I even have any mods for orc strongholds at all.

Do you have any lighting mods like Lux, ELFX, or Luminosity installed? Those are usually late loading and they make pervasive changes to top level cell records.

Lux is already listed here.. Known Mod Conflicts. Known to break Millonce.

I tried to solve the trespassing issue by making the player temporarily join the orc faction, and that sometimes worked, but often not, was very inconsistent. 

 

The solution for a future release, will probably be where you can do something to make Milly come out of the basement to talk with her, or something along those lines. I'm tried of mod conflicts like these, its like you cant do anything to any location these days.
