Quick question.. I am on the quest where I get Nuka World Red Rocket. I activate the workshop, it asks what gang should control it. I select "cancel".. and I own it, without selecting a gang. I am all good? It was vanilla Nuka World that asked me who should own it? Or was it Nuka Ride? Anyway, all worked fine after. But I suppose if you actually wanted a gang to be there, I have now screwed that up. Was I supposed to select a gang to control it?

i did the exact same thing my last couple of runs.  you should be fine with that choice, at least until the next major NR comes out.

the next major NR will require a new game (or at least a game NR has not been installed on at least) due to changes that are in testing now.

I let vortez do the unzipping, otherwise, you are in manual mode to install the files in the right location.  

 

Another common mistake is people downloading the entire zip file from the mega site, instead of the individual zip files that you need.  

 

Finally, Vortex has a habit of not enabling esps after installing, waiting for the user to either deploy the mod or enable it as a separate step in the install process.  

 

Anyway, this is an easy problem to solve and you are not the first to have this issue, though this thread is long, this question comes up often enough.

Mod long enough and you either "Preview File Contents" if using Nexus and Vortex, or just open the archived file(s) before installing to see what is in them.

Anytime. I do have to move the chem shower at Dunmore. The NR one is part of the precombines and can't be disabled. Other than that.. not issues....

I saw somebody mention playing Nuka Ride as part of the Wasteland of Depravity modlist, earlier in the thread, but having just tried setting that up myself (I hadn't actually realised it wasn't already part of the modlist, considering practically every other loverslab mod seems to be, so I added it in myself), I'm finding that Shank is almost completely unresponsive (though I can start a conversation using Beggar Whore), meaning I can't progress even beyond the dance for Kaiser.

 

I tried running FO4Edit to see if there's any obvious conflicts and I can't see anything that stands out, and I've tried moving Nuka Ride way down in the load order so it's not being overwritten by something else,  but there's like 900+ mods in this modlist, and my limited ability to troubleshoot mod conflicts is kinda why I decided to go the Wabbajack modlist route this time around! Anyone have any insight or experience with this or deal with something similar, or am I shit out of luck getting this mod to work with that modlist?

You have mod problem - quest stage will not solve that.

In real life, permanent makeup replaces those elements of makeup that a person has always done for themselves. Permanent makeup is not an addition to the usual makeup, but the replacement of some of its basic elements, just to avoid wasting time on them every day. My thought is that all of our characters already have permanent makeup. We do it when we create our characters, and each character has it individually.
I don't mind some small tattoos on a character's face(small OB sign or small spades for SnowBunny). But touching character makeup is a very bad idea because JB can't make permanent makeup that fits every character.

Finally! Although the molerat hunt lost intensity (now it's no longer a boss-molerat) at least I can pick the bastard up now. ?

 

I have included a hotfix for version 6.5.0i in mega.

That's a vanilla message from Nuka World DLC and doesn't really have much impact. I once brought the Packs but then decided not to bring anyone.

If Shank doesn't talk, it's because the Audition quest failed to start. Write this: 

 

StartQuest _NukaRide_Audition

 

And that's it. Talk to Shank. You can check if it worked by typing: 

 

SQV _NukaRide_Audition

 

It should say something like State= Running. 

 

If not, try a new game. This quest should be in State= Running by default.

Actually, you weren't meant to download a bundle of everything at that site. What you're meant to do is to separately download each individual zip you need, and install those with your mod manager. Downloading everything including things you're not going to install wastes time and bandwidth.

I found that if i selected a gang then regular settlers via the recruitment beacon didn't show up, by not selecting a gang you miss out on getting a couple of them straight away and some of the work shop items related to the raiders but then the regular recruitment beacon you can build works and if your using commonwealth captives it shows up as a location to send them to

what was the last NR quest you did? 

 

i ask for both last and current NR quests because iirc there is 1 or 2 points that Kaiser will not respond to you if you are on certain quests (could be wrong here).

Thanks, I restarted and had no issue there the 2nd time. Then Mason's audition went a little weird for a while - possibly due to someone deciding to put devious devices on me part way through... or maybe the aaf spectator that got stuck and blocked Mason from getting to the throne ... or maybe the 2 pack members deciding to have sex while I was poledancing... or maybe Mason soliciting me via another mod at one stage, instead of his usual dialogue. I'm definitely feeling like going in fairly blind to a massive wabbajack modlist is a really bad idea! Now the Corsican's the problem, as he isn't where his quest marker is, but there were also a lot of textures that hadnt loaded, so I moved to an internal cell, saved and I'm reloading again as it feels like that might just be a memory thing. I love the idea of using an easily installed curated modlist to take care of all the bits I don't tend to pay enough attention to when I'm modding, but I was definitely having more fun with my own shorter and slightly buggy modlist!

You came back using the protectron from Diamond City, didn't you? 


The protectron drops you off in front of the back entrance to Nuka Town. 


Nisha is leaning against the wall out there, there should be a marker above her head. 

 

Yes, I have the latest stable version. I found Nisha, but there isn't a marker above her head. The marker is above nuka station to the south of nuka world.

Yeah.. that goes without saying.

Tip: anytime you use wabbajack or collections, bug the shit out of the ones that put them together. They're ripping off the actual mod authors, they can provide the support.

You returned from Diamond City on your own, but you should have talked to Protectron at the Diamond City entrance and he would have driven you to Nuka World.

You may have even spoken to Protectron, but chose the dialog that "you have other things to do". He stayed waiting for you, but you forgot that and returned to Nuka World yourself.
Now you have a marker at Nuka Station, because system shows you that you need to go back to Diamond City and talk to Protectron.

 

PS Remember one simple rule: in NR you don't need to travel by yourself. There is always someone or something to drive you.

second time talking to him first quest.... nothing in quest log quest gone invisable

also the robot that bought me to NW also wont talk to me after getting there.... Kaiser started talking to me again after console advacing the quest then stopped again later on lol

there was 1 DL link it came as a zip of zip files lol #ZIPception... first time i ever had ZIPception to lol

Thank you JB and all contributors for such a brilliant mod. I have been having a blast playing it.

Unfortunately towards the end of my playthrough I have become stuck in a dialogue. I attach a screenshot of the exact moment. It is the start of recording the golden girls video. Clicking or pressing the associated numbers does nothing to advance the scene. This is not the first time this happens in a dialogue in nuka ride. Normally I can save and reload to fix it, but this time the save button is greyed out.

I have tried using https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/74034 to toggle the dialogue cinematic camera on/off to no avail.

Any suggestions to move the scene forward would be appreciated as I want to see the end of the mod.
Edit: Managed to move it forward, see next post for method.
