This might not be the vision you have planned for Norita JB, but I would love a "willing slut" dialogue option. I want to outslut the overboss ha!

But 1.4 works as it was intended for and 1.3 doesn't work period for me at all.

Blame content delivery networks. The whole point of a CDN is to disconnect ("offload") network traffic in various regions from the original source, and then they have a tendency to get out of sync leading to people in different parts of the Internet downloading copies of a particular file from different periods in time.

Just like waiting for the DNS to update, which used to take days now takes a couple hours at most.

But, The versions I download are the same, which shows my location updated very fast, badboy64 was getting the oops version long after the 1st corrected update. Using a proxy or a vpn can have the same effect.

this is normal then.  you will get told about the job offer at the end of CS by either Gristle or Medium-Sized.

you can still play NR (vanilla route), just have to go talk to Charon (bot in a cowboy hat) by Drumlin Diner.

the (in testing) alternate start to NR (which does not yet connect to the main part of NR) will not fire as it needs Duke alive.

@JB. So I finally got around to actually finishing the 6.5h version.  Again, very well written. I'd still reference my earlier comment about it all happening a little fast, but I do know you've got that covered as part of the future plans. 

 

In the same vein, I'll also mention that Monique tells us at the end that the Overbitch outfit is 'skimpier than the last' one that she saw the PC in. But we don't have any interaction with her whilst wearing a skimpy outfit (that I recall), except in Nisha's den where I don't think she brings it up. Just a continuity error there.

 

A few possible bugs and issues I had are below:

  • It is possible to cook the omelettes for the first meal after harvesting the ingredients but before speaking to Monique. This prevents the quest from continuing and you need to reload a save or use the console. Not a big thing, just getting ahead of the quest I suppose.
  • I have the weird Sophie face bug, with the distorted mouth and over-sized eyes. Goes away when she is wearing her wig though. I've checked and nothing is overwriting the mentioned files in the previous comments about it. Also Patti, who I presume uses the same morphs, is fine. Installing the base mod 'Oni Cute Asian Face Parts' did nothing for me.
  • Not exactly a bug but; you have a cheat for the molerat moving during the hunt. Honestly, I've never been able to get it to fire without it.
  • A CTD was picking up the second dildo. The 'vision' would part play, then it was the Three Musketeers (Ctrl, Alt and d'Artagnan) to the rescue! I could only get around this using SetStage _NR_Train 250. Which for some reason was fine. I had the same issue attempting to pickup the first dildo in a mod version prior to 6.5h, but it was only the second one that was the issue this time.
  • This could just be my set-up but Gunners spawn just outside of Kiddie Kingdom, around a truck North West of KK. This aggro'd the BoS (including the Vertibird) and they took them out. Not a big deal, but the BoS soldiers were on alert.
  • The Overboss's note is visible in the apartment when the player is a maid for Kellogg.
  • Also I think two cooking stations have been placed over each other in the apartment, too (the oven/stove you use). 
  • Not a bug exactly, but BoS soldiers kept getting in the way of filming the Bar promotion. ?
  • Again, not a bug, but I accidentally reenabled 'The Previous Girl' tattoo pack and gave Patti purple skin. Only mentioning it as it is still a recommended mod. Might head off posts complaining about this again.

 

As bugs are usually loadorder fuckups, I've included mine so you can point and laugh despair.

 

So I have a few suggestions if you are interested. These are really just text/ dialogue interactions that could be expanded upon, and I think would be interesting based on how the mod is currently structured (as well as naturally integrated into the story):

  • After working in the bar, the PC will not be wearing the bar uniform, but may have done their nails. I don't know if this can be flagged in the Creation Kit, but could be brought up by Brett of Monique as to why the PC or Sophie has painted nails. Could also be brought up when harvesting crops.
  • The PC visits Larson after getting the butt plug. The intro conversation you have with him could be done sitting down. You could have the PC awkwardly talk around the reason for any visible discomfort.
  • The Overboss sends the PC to get ice cold beer. Katelyn could mention that the OB knows that there is definitely no ice cold beer in the bar as it has no electricity (like she does), and that he's actually sending the PC into Nuka Town to show her off. The PC could also meet Monique or Brett here (I actually thought this was the intention). I like this idea as it plays into the feeling I get from the 6.5 version of the Overboss; capable of violence but prefers to think two steps ahead like a sly operator.
  • Okay okay, this is a request, but I can't get it out of my head: A vault porn scene after transitioning into working for Corsican (I know, does not happen in 6.5 yet). The PC could be sent to Vault 111 to collect suits; and trouble ensues. Or it could be an 'on location' scene (and trouble ensues!). But I know that's work.

 

Well, anyway. Whatever you decide, it looks like the mod is shaping up really well.

 

 

You know I had the option to buy Phantom Liberty or Starfield (I wasn't going to pay full price for both). I'm really glad I bought PL, still haven't bought Starfield and I really don't really care.

 

I know I mentioned this in my first comment, but you really are putting Bethesda to shame with the quality of story telling. People always go on about the glitches in Bethesda games, but those are just engine fuckups. The fact that their story telling is so universally woeful these days is just really sad.

Is that the lowest setting in the MCN menu? Otherwise the only thing I can suggest is to slm player and adjust the nodes yourself in the looksmenu (assuming you have them installed for the body you are using).

You can edit the Data\MCM\Config\NukaRide\Config.json
Around line 249 (if you're using Notepad++) you can edit the min & max settings.

Other wise search or look for Cosmetic surgery: Breast

So,, done with 6.43 on a couple profiles, looking for the new version, 6.5? is it?  Couldn't find it on first page. And,, I am pretty sure it is still in testing mode.  I am about to start another profile, fresh game, with Horizon 1.8 Outcast difficulty setting, which worked perfectly with NR 6.43, if I could find the beta oO.  Or is it privi only?  That is fine if it is.  I can wait, but would rather not , heheh.

well Monique does see you in other clothes so her saying something about your clothes does more or less at least fit, it could be her referencing the clothes you were

in at the farm.

  • iirc the truck that has a Gunner guard type is NE of KK in the parking lot between KK and Nuka Bottling and yes i have had him show up on me also and it did take a while for the BOS to go off alert status (iirc this is a vanilla placement).
  • Also I think two cooking stations have been placed over each other in the apartment, too (the oven/stove you use). 
  • hmm i only have the one stove/even in my game .... dunno .... shrug

Was is NE? Fair enough, forgot to write it down and misremembered. It's not a game breaking issue, but my Vertibird was flying underground, and I don't think that's cannon ?.

Hah! Yeah, I got FO:NV dialogue battle vibes (with Legate Lanius at the end) from the last part of the mod as-is. JB knows how to incorporate gameplay with storytelling, and I really like that. After all, we've been building these stats up throughout the mod - and then there's the payoff!

I'm getting the same thing.  Starting my effort to figure it out now also.   Just finished Commonwealth Slavers and everything was fine, so it's something I have off with this particular mod.  I'll press on and see if it's all scenes or specific ones.

Wow! With NR 6.5 you have created a piece of art. This is not just a game, this is an immersive movie, better than a movie. What was intended as a shooter game, you first modded into a fetish play, you now and now turned into some new art form. It requires so many skills: programming, writing, creativity and psychology. It is a totally new way of story telling.

 

The alternative start fixes many flaws of the original Nuka Ride. The OB came originally across as unlikeable guy, but now he is somehow sympathetic and it becomes plausible why Nora would become attracted to him. The new characters are all amazing and believable.

I was so happy that Sophie and her grandparents were not killed, as it was hinted before. I hope these characters get somehow integrated in the following porn actress storyline. I have really begun to like them.

The humor also made me laugh a lot ("Whore of Legends").

The end of NR 6.5 is still a little bit buggy. Sometimes dialogues didn't get triggered and I had to advance the story through "setstage" commands. Some dialogues were not voiced. (How did you manage to get the original voices of characters like Kellog? I really enjoyed to see him return.) There is also a problem with clippings of the pink sneakers and the CBBE feet.

I'm really looking forward to see how the rest of the plotline will be adjusted so that NR 6.4 and 6.5 fit together. (I have the feeling that Harlowe's armor was introduced too early. It doesn't quite fit the inexperienced character of Nora and would be better to be introduced in the confrontation with Poodle like before. The climatic ending of NR 6.5 might also make it difficult to connect it smoothly to the following porn actress plotline.) 

Thank you for all your efforts that you put into this project. It has given me many hours of fun.

I really appreciate the feedback. There are some fantastic ideas. Luckily I do track whether or not you have your nails on, so I can definitely put up some dialogue if you go to the farm with painted nails. 

 

Interesting enough, the beer quest was specifically made for Brett to catch Norita showing up in skimpy clothes. 

 

I then decided that Brett was going to catch Norita at the Pit Stop, with Sophie. 

 

But the more the days go by, I think I'm going to save that conversation for the second hunt. A relaxed conversation where they both already know the truth. Because what's the point of Brett finding out in Nuka Town? He's going to get mad, he's going to tell her not to go back to the farm, not to go near his granddaughter anymore, that she's not a Dunmore anymore. 

 

Norita can go to the farm and have a heart-to-heart and finally convince Brett to support her. 

 

That's fine in a book, but I don't know if that much "drama" would add to the mod.

The third nightmare is basically the same (the burned farm) but where we "face" the real Overbitch, who "inherits" her will to us. Hence Norita knows how to dance and rhyme in the final fight, because she trained with the Overbitch. Right now, that Norita wears the armor and begins to rhyme is gratuitous. 

 

Now, really my head is squeezed and I don't see myself able to write. That's why I went back to making mini quests for Slavers because that doesn't require me to write story dialogues and such, it's simply putting together small quests to entertain my head. I tried several times to write the third nightmare but I simply can't come up with anything decent since we entered December, so I'll leave it for next year. I think it's an important little missing piece in this story. 

 

I think it's because I'm more focused on other aspects this month, like my job. I've been trying to talk my boss into giving me a few days off, but I happen to be my own boss. ?

Whoa, I love this! I always thought you might include a dream sequence with her but I didn't think it would be that badass. Are we talking mini-game territory? OB+ gonna teach us some moves? I know there's a bit of that already in the mod but it's one of my favorites. ?
