I also found another bug. It seems that mule questline break vanilla Diamond City Blues quest. I cannot complete the ambush on Nelson - as soon as I attack, I get guard beating sound and I am being teleported to Nuka World in handcuffs with a message that I failed Nisha's errand. The funny thing is - I wasn't on a mule quest, I got my scooter already.

Crap. I think I'm going to put a clone of Nelson for the next version, because I had forgotten about that.

 

I mean, I fixed that... but only for certain conditions. For example, if you win the mod and then want to be the Overboss, Nelson is no longer a client of Nisha. Phew, these types of mods require thinking two or three steps ahead to cover all the variants. ?

And thank you JB. for this great mod, realy a very good story and a fun moment in FO4 world! Don't hav yet finish the 4.2.3, but soon i guess, and it was a funny time in the video games universe!

Version 2.1 only has the mission to visit Mason as repeatable.

There was a conversation here a few days back with reasonable suggestions to mitigate some of the misogynistic choices in this mod if the player has perks like Black Widow or the like. I don't want to get specific on the suggestions, but I've been contemplating what makes this mod so powerful story-wise lately, and the disdain and oppression the main character experiences initially are part of what makes it so beautiful when she experiences even the slightest respect and friendship later.

 

For instance, the fact main character ("MC") understands what it's like to be treated so badly makes the friendship she develops later with Sister that much more precious. Both MC and Sister have equivalent albeit different forms of oppression and bigotry against them. But this also makes them understand each other and love each other as people in a way which would have been less credible and less wonderful if either of them had ever always been in a position of power.

 

As tempting as it would be to have even Mason treat MC better, the fact that Mason thinks he's kind to her and thinks he respects her but doesn't really is part of the nuance in levels of acceptance MC can find.

 

I don't want to be specific, but there are some character(s) who despise main character, and there are some who aren't as mean to MC but still don't think of her as equal, and there are a handful who can legitimately be thought of as friends or more to MC over time.

 

The strength of this mod is more than plot and more than mechanical achievement, both of which are magnificent and amazing. To me, the strength and beauty of this mod is its sensitive humanity, sometimes terrible and at times so wonderfully uplifting.

 

Ultimately, no matter how much misogyny and pain MC experiences, she and her world are real in every sense and strong and magical where it most counts.

 

This is my humble comment that a reduction or temperance of MC's pain should be considered only with care.

Game lags pretty bad as soon as I installed this. Particularily when opening the pip boy.

 

Edit: Nvm after a PC restart overnight it runs perfectly. Must've been the PC.

This has something to do with Physics.....body physics and clothes physics......you can't have both going at the same time or something like that.....so when you have the heels on the body is now using clothes physics....which the piercings use.  When you take the heels off the body is using body physics.....so the clothes will not conform to the body anymore.  So now that you and I are both confused.....just wear the heels and the laws of physics will no longer be broken...lol

make sure that Nuka Ride is the last plugin loaded....it needs to override everything else......I have zero lag on mine.  I think JB covered this quite some pages back and I can't remember what was discussed.

I get that; was just wondering if there was a work around as in scenes where the heels are unequipped for any reason or when you're wearing clothing other than heels, as there are a few scenes where the heels are removed or other clothing is put on you.

On my current playthrough the radio is broken. That happened also on a previous playthrough. I am at the point were 4.2 is completed. Loading some older saves isnt helping too.

 

As this happened already before i tested the radio after i finished the goldenglobes quest. It worked then so i turned it off to not interfere with the regular nukaride music and enjoy the radio later. Its in my pipboy but it doesnt play, i have no other radio mods except the emergency signal from Tales of the commonwealth, but this was no problem before.

 

SQV says:

Current Stage: 190

Priority: 60

 

From google i learned that this might happen to mod radios sometimes and could be solved by deactivating the esp, load, save, re-eanble the esp. But this is not a good idea with a quest mod. 

 

Could the radio be "repaired" by a console command or something like that?

Hi little question, 

 

I'm playing the mod from the beginning on a new playthrough with the latest version, I've noticed I didn't have the porn actress dress and heels from corsican, no box in my appartment, no note either, it seems to me he didn't mention it, and no gift from Hank at the end of Made in Heaven, is it normal or did I miss something ?

That is only unlocked if you ask Corsican (when he tells you to visit Mason for the first time) "do you have a new outfit for me?".

 

If you forgot to ask him that, there's no way to get it as it's a script attached to the dialog, not the stages. Unless you want to use something like ESP Explorer.

 

But I'm going to write that down so there's another easy way to unlock it later.

 

I got Hank's gift when I played it recently, say last week. The dialogue that triggers the gift is when Music tells you to go sleep in a bed that she rented. I couldn't explain why it doesn't show up.

After a long break, I started a new char (setlevel 25) and went to Nuka Ride 4.2.3.

I'm experiencing "weird stuff" with the Apollo quest.

 

When Nisha sends me as a mule to DC, the robot Keiser does not want to talk to me - while the marker is at the Gauntlet.

So, I've done the gauntlet, incl killing the overboss in the arena, then I was able to teleport to the commonwealth and DC.

 

Anyhow, my main issue is after Solomon, when I want to return to NukaWorld.

  1. Questline says talk to the robot - but there is no robot in front of DC (looked near Sulivian)
  2. When I port back, Nisha is now triggered by the DLC, and just keeps talking about Gage, and offers a "vanilla" quest
  3. Im stuck there, I cant report to Nisha, because first she insist on giving me a quest, when i decline, next talk, she gives it again... once recieved, she only asks wether the vanilla quest is done.
  4. To me this is quiet... immersion breaking... i cant be a pronstar who beats the overboss - while Mason "protects" me, just feels weird to me.

 

Questions:

  1. If i remember correctly, there was the option to drive to DC by a car for Apollo with NR 0.x - 1.x
  2. Has this changed, is one now supposed to do the Vanilla DLC quests "in between" Nuka Ride questline?

 

One more thing, my char keeps her clothes on during the AAF scenes.

They are removed for "other" (aka not NR-related) AAf scenes however.

 

On the other hand, I do like alot of the changes, love the outfits, the "fight cage" at Mason's

But as described, i can not play further than this atm. :(

Thank you for the answer, there was a caravan guard sleeping in the sleeping bag ( as almost always when I do this quest ) that I killed with mister sandman because he didn't want to let me sleep, maybe the bug is from here. I had via console :)

Hey man. I'm pretty sure it's a load order issue. Nisha should only talk to you about the mule quest, and if she's talking about vanilla quests it's because Nuka Ride isn't getting priority.

Unfortunately you did a vanilla mission (Gauntlet) and now the mod will behave sooo weird because you are Overboss.

My recommendation, fix your load order, and load a save before doing Gauntlet, before talking to Nisha. I don't know why the mod pointed you there. But basically you have to travel to DC via Kaiser; I wonder if that problem is also related to the load order.

What is confusing me is that I could talk to Kaiser for a drive to DC during the Bike quest. But not for Apollo.

Is there something different "behind the scene"?

 

Well, I did had the Nuka Train as a world marker, but it did not have any power.

 

NR is the only quest/story mod, for which i consider all AAF related mods as requirement)

 

Anyway, I changed the Plugin Group from "none" to "Worldspace Setting" in Vortex, which changed the LO from 160 to 190 after a deployment.

Luckily I do have a savegame after accepting the quest, prior of doing the Gauntlet.

 

Lets see.

By default, the "Dynamic Patches" group is ordered last, if you really want to force a mod pretty much to the end (but what you chose is probably good enough in this case).

I wish there was a way to note how many issues with broken quests are due to not waiting for dialogue to finish completely.   Almost like you need a drill sergeant there reminding them to

I'm pretty sure, Mister Zwicky needs a clone for Mule quest as well. After I did their talk with Edna an they married, they are staying in school (dunno if this intended). Tho, Edna responses to PC as a mule, Zwicky keep talking his usual vanilla stuff, so no progress on the quest can be made.

This mod so far is one of the best quest mods ever. The writing really seems to suit the characters too.

 

So far just wraping up the quest where you go to Goodnrighbor and this is one of the best mods ever made. Almost certainly the best quest mod. The detail and effort put into this is beyond expectations.

Yep, that solved it.

I now could travel to DC for the 2nd time.

 

On another thought... as I'm talking with Mr Corsican again, I think it might be funny if it would be possible that he REALLY forget to give one the panties - if one does not pick the right "optional" dialog option.

So if one just rushes to continue, one has to leave without panties - but only when one takes time and does a bit of dialog, he gets reminded that one has no panties on.

 

Fun fact, after traveling to DC, I had to take a shower (Get Dirty) in my Home Plate, she did re-equip everything, but not the panties.

On a similar note, idk if its just me, on every "scene", only the males get striped, my PC keeps her clothes on.

(for all my other AAF scenes, both get striped, males and females)

 

While I do understand the dialog options for Solomon plot-wise, I think RP-wise it would be nice to have NOW or Y-E-S changed to a more friendly/submissive option, after all, we have to choose "Yes Exactly (help me)" to get into Solomons house.

However, with the friendly option, he would ask wether one wants some drugs to reduce the pain, and while we're under the influence, does take advante and doing his actions "anyway", which still would lower our confidence, but "1  time less" as we're not beeing "ordered" to be more friendly/submissive.

 

On a last note, during the PoleDance mission at Carters Party, after all the "actions", I was standing there with the "wait" text at the lower screen, had to sit again to get rid of it.

 

Again, I love all the "little" updates you've done since 1.x

Will now continue with the mission, erm my career :)

Yes you're right!

For some reason it didnt let me scroll down further in the drop-down (in the middle of the night), allthough i did see that on the "overview" i had checked to do the proper selection.

Anywhow, I think Worldspace Setting is a very suitable "description" for NR :D

 

Also, right now, NR is the last mod, well... plugin, well... its BYOP and HHS patches.
But they are the last 3.. 189-191
