That requires rescripting everything (deactivate originals, activate new ones, reactivate originals at the end of the quest). Honestly I'm a bit burned out and I don't want to see the CK anymore for a few days.

The new update allows you to skip missions. You can activate the SoftCore mode in the MCM. And when you talk to Gage in Nuka World (during stage 10), instead of advancing to stage 20, he will advance to stage 400.

I would prefer to play the event the hardcore way. I hope you are able to fix the issue when you feel like it.

Well, but I don't promise you anything. You are asking me to fix a specific problem of yours. As you can see many people already finished it. I already told you that the best thing would be to create a new profile in your mod organizer, and live the Nuka Ride experience without so many intrusive mods and played as it should be: with a character fresh from the Vault.

I have Fallout and Skyrim spread across multiple profiles as you can see.

Edit: the new update is already in MEGA, I will edit the details in Loverslab soon.

I don't see a reason to use vortex, it is very intrusive, takes it's own decisions, messes everything up, takes a LOT of your Disk, that is why i manage 90% of my mods manually, only when i try a new mod or i know that i will be updating and testing use NMM, so my installations are lighter AND DO WHAT I TELL THEM TO DO

Each to their own. Vortex does what I tell it to do, it's just a matter of learning how to tell it (like with any tool). When I first started modding FO4 I quickly lost patience with NMM and was lucky that Vortex was nearing usability at the same time, so I switched and have been quite happy with it for the past several years now. I gather MO2 would probably also do the same things I need too, I would just need to spend some time figuring out how to tell it what I want.

After institute interview, "Baldwyn Sex" animation is canceled right at the start (skiped). No big deal, but mr. Baldwyn is now stuck lying on ground, breaking rest of the events. Ideas?

Mod updated from last version, so not a clean start.

Dunno. Reload and try again. The mod does a couple of saves in the lab, before Boris questions.

I just finished my playthrough of this mod yesterday. While there was some content that made me *very* uncomfortable, my reaction to finding out that I was done was "Dammit, I wanted to keep going"

A really excellent piece of work, if a bit unsettling in spots. I'm looking forward to seeing how things develop. Thanks for all the hard work!

@michelita This new update is going to let you skip all hardcore content, if you want to give it a try. ?

Tbh, I'm one of them "softcore" folks with a strong preference against stuff like bestiality, yellow/brown things et cetera - but I never considered complaining about this in any mods including this one. That's because it's - first - completely free, and - second - if I don't like something, I just change it on my own in the local build.

So far progressing through the mod and already see a LOT of improvements compared to 3.x: some freezes disappeared, no CTDs so far, many quests are now better explained and overall make sense!

To especially commend so far:

- Finally a streamlined intro! This was bugging me so I had to rewrite some dialogue in 3.x and now it's fixed

- Finally custom outfits are allowed! Before this I just modded what I wanted in, but not I don't have to bother

- Nice to see FPA integration. Sometimes provides for additional jollies.

- Awesome decision to filter out bestiality according to PC's first choice (pre-Audition). It's probably one of the best "hidden" decisions because it's very immersive - there's no pop-up or a dialogue directly asking about it, PC must make an in-game plot decision. Of course, I like it also because I'm not a fan of bestiality, but the main point here is how cool it's implemented

As a feedback to improve - so far, nothing major comes to mind. Perhaps only that the notifications and menu messages are done from within the scripts? That could hinder somebody who wants to localize the mod in case they don't know how to set up and compile scripts.

Another thing that I'm trying to wrap my head around is the "Overboss' B" meaning. In 3.x version there just weren't many quests to do after getting this "title", but now there are and I'm just in conflict with this title: on one hand, it makes sense that PC must continue to shoot AV and "solve problems" with her body, but on another hand I have a hard time imagining someone as Overboss would tolerate sharing his property with anyone. I'm not talking about any feelings here, but from the position of "what's mine is mine" I'm always in this limbo of "would that really be his attitude" when he lends PC or she goes on some "naughty adventures". So, if Overboss cares about PC then the title would likely bring an end to her career and he'd want her to belong to him only, but that'd defeat the purpose of the mod. And if he doesn't care about PC then the "title" is meaningless to begin with.

So... I don't know, I'm really conflicted about it, this title somehow breaks my logic and maybe it just has no place in a mod like this.

P.S. Don't listen to someone complaining about English - I bet they won't pass C1 either.

Just got stuck on the Dog Walker quest - in the Movie Theatre, the sex scene with Savoy brought up what looked like a menu to advance animation stages, but it wasn't interactable and so I just got stuck in 1 stage endlessly looping. Only bypassed it by loading an earlier stage then using console commands to skip to the stage after the sex. Every other scene (so far) has worked 100% fine.  I haven't done Lost in the Jungle yet though, so seeing mentions for that in the stage where to talk to Music, I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it?

I just had a question about how far I can go with the regular questlines or MQ? I haven't done anything besides NukaRide, was just wondering so i don't go and F something up for later. Thank you

Not sure if this is due some other mods in my list or other users have encountered the same problem, but here a couple things I ran into in the latest version:

- Audition: Mason dialogue did not progress after dance animation. Had to manually start using SetStage command to trigger his dialogue, but then encountered same issue after the other two AAF animations that are part of his AAF quest.

- Overboss died while rescuing me during Lucy quest. Once again ended up using SetStage to advance to the Diamond city scene, but Overboss absence made the remainder of the events unable to trigger, so I ended up completing it via SetStage.

- I am forgetting his name, but the mercenary guy whose name starts with G.. from the new quest where he has you recruit vault girls: After we go to the makeover guy, my character gets on the X cross, but then the game does not advance to the point where piercings and tattoos are applied. I triggered the next step via SetStage, but then once again the NPCs characters just sit there and do not proceed to whipping scene.

I started a new playthrough to check out new content because the stage descriptions of the new quests made them seem intriguing. Started abusing SetStage after Mason audition failed to progress and then used it to skip a couple quests that I've done before by marking them as complete.

I'll do another run today, this time without using any console commands, gonna see if the issue persists, but for now it looks like some kind of problem with dialogues not triggering after an event (AAF animation, appearance change, etc)

In regards to the more recent conversation I have seen in this thread, I, for one, appreciate the more "hardcore" thematic of this mod and would be sad to see it adopt a milder creative direction.
If some people are not comfortable with the content in this mod, I am of the opinion that perhaps this is not the mod for them and they should look somewhere else instead of trying to divert development time/resources into mechanisms that would allow them to bypass/filter content. Alternatively, such features should be considered at the end of the mod's development cycle, once the creator's original vision for the content is fulfilled.

I think that's part of the UAP configuration. I don't really like pressing keys during AAF, hehe.

Music invites you to go to the Safari park together, but only if you finished the Safari mission first. Otherwise, this step is skipped during the Lyons walk.

It is best to create a save from when you won the mod, to return to it another day. With another save you do what you want.

I particularly make profiles with the mod organizer. I have a profile exclusively for Nuka Ride.

Thank you Operand! Glad you like it. As for the situation with the OB, I think it shouldn't be such a restrictive relationship and give you freedom for the sake of the mod, so you don't have to make waaay different ramifications if you decided to be his protégé or not. In this new update it is seen that he has several more women, as one would expect from a warlord.

Thanks for your report.

Is it possible that your AAF has been bugged? If any scene doesn't work, the mod should skip the stages automatically and you should get a "nuka warning" that AAF failed. At least this is the case since version 4.1.2.

So if something like this happens it would be good to save and reload.

The Overboss is invincible in my mod. You literally can't kill him if you want to (don't worry, he's just a clone, not the original Nuka World Overboss). I wonder if some mod is modifying him.

As for the scene on the cross, let's just say you have to get used to the behavior of Torture Devices. When you are on the cross, you lose the hud and also the movement of the camera! This is solved by changing the perspective of the camera with the corresponding button. Once you get back to normal camera movement, point at Gage and talk to him.

It's okay, I can live with the whole thing - I just keep the integrity of the mod by rewriting the dialogue such that belonging to Overboss isn't on the table to begin and so PC won't ever become his - it's an easy "fix" for me thanks to the fact you implemented separate branches of dialogues for both cases in the later quest (yet again - well done). In my case it just follows the "non-B" branch and all is logically sound - PC can do her things while Overboss still (nominally) protects her without ownership.

In general, I passed Nuka World with the mod enabled. There are a couple of minor bugs.
1. During the Grand Tour quest, you cannot activate the flag in Safari, although the marker is hanging. It corrects itself after cleaning the other four zones.
2. Power Play Quest - The niche turned out to be traitors and had to be killed. But the Mule quest marker is hanging on her corpse. It's uncritical, as it were, but it hurts my eyes.

I had just give up on version 4.1.1 after the final mission refused to advance from Wes to Cruz, even setstage commands would do nothing. Now I see there is a "softcore" version that allows you to skip that and since I just started over, it would be a good time to try the new version. If you ever decide to add on to this again, one serious suggestion....... give Music more character. I got the feeling she has some interest in the PC, but it's unclear where that lies. She feels very bland and forgettable at times because of no real development and as a writer myself, I feel like there is some huge potential with her if you feel the motivation to do it.

Is she into the PC?

Does she want a different type of slave?

Is she just playing games with you, relishing in her father's constant torture of the PC?

Or maybe she wants to use you to be free of her father?

Even a simple add-on file for Music content that takes place after Nuka Ride could be something.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

Yes, my AAF ended up having some issues during that playthrough. My character was invisible during the first dance you do for the robot when you land in Nuka World, I just thought she got teleported to some random furninture in range and I just couldn't spot it.
During Mason's animations I also had the weird bug where AAF was using Male body for my female character and ended up having to re-install AAF to fix it.

Good to know about Overboss, that means him not entering the room in the Diamond City follow-up was probably related to the issue that stopped actions from firing after animation/event.

I did try speaking to both Gage and the Fritsche (forgot his name) guy while on the cross, but they just had general one-liner remarks, not any dialogue.

I'll play around with my modlist, got a couple ideas for what could be causing conflicts, will let you know if anything needs to be added to the documentation.

The costumes in this mode are not visible properly.
Wearing this mode of clothing makes your body naked or body transparent. How can I resolve this issue?
I think the problem is that there are only txt files in the Meshes folder

Posted (edited)

A small bug (or rather an oversight) with vanilla dialogues: if PC waits for too long before saying anything, NPC will tell their "are you going to say something?" line (or something similar). And some of the Nuka-World NPCs such as Shank will refer to PC as "boss" / "overboss". Discovered by pure luck.

Make sure you install all the clothing mods listed as dependencies of Nuka Ride, and the associated sliderset conversions for them, and build those for your preferred body in BodySlide
