Just finished 'My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU'.  I really liked Hachiman's style.  Pretty funny.  I had a problem with deciding which of the female leads I liked best; Yokinoshita's dower personality or Yuigahama's tempered bubbly-ness.  I normally don't watch slice of life anime but this was really enjoyable.  The depth of the characters makes it worth watching, imo.

Hachiman is one of the best characters I've ever seen in anime. Personally he's a terrible human being but a great character, although his cynical look on life is very accurate in terms of what actually goes on in teenage life during high school and such.

 

SNAFU is one of my favorites :D even though it's labeld as a slice of life, it's more like a drama.

 

Yuigahama seriously needed to be more honest and just say that she loves hachiman for god's sake, so thus I prefer Yokino.

I like that the ending was open and there wasn't a forced hook-up between the characters.  Whoever made that writting call deserves a raise.

Comparing Yokino's style to Yuiga's, I'd have to pick Yuiga.  I think she's a good counter measure to Hachiman.  Yokino might be what he thinks he wants, but they are a lot alike.  In my mind I was cheering for her though, I guess that's the 'daddy' in me that wants to a see girl like her be happy.  :-/

I do prefer Yuiga to end up with Hachiman for the reaons you stated. I did cheer for her as well giving her mental "hang in there! you can do it!" But for character-wise I prefer Yokino.

 

Also the writer did a fantastic job writing the story and I hope it gets a second season to continue the story. I may even read the novel to be satified.

He has a foul mouth, yes...

But he's trying to help people with his way, that is the one he can do best...

Although the only one who realized it in the anime is his male friends (the one that's popular).

I thought it was cool because I watched it as a kid and didn't get it.

Then I watched it now and I'm like

"Who the fuck is this mopey perverted sonuvabitch!?
WHY DID I EVER LIKE THIS!?"

 

And then I finished it because I'm OCD about unfinished things.

So yeah! Asuka is probably the only redhead I've ever seen or met that I openly despise.

I don't remember Amy doing anything like that in Sonic CD. Fair warning If it wasn't side scrolling I didn't count it as Sonic... I think she was in Sonic advanced 2... and sucked. Why have a slow character in a sonic game? Because female.

Watched the fourth episode of Sailor Moon Crystal, then went to a forum and saw somebody raging about the scene where Usagi falls asleep and Tuxedo Kamen kisses her, screaming that it was rape. Then somebody else cried censorship because originally she got drunk on wine in the original manga but that was removed for this version.

 

Me? I said meh.

The Advanced series was nice. Each character was unique.

I wouldn't count Sonic Colours out of Sonic. It's likely the best Sonic game since Sonic CD.

The rest still kinda suck. Except maybe Sonic Adventure on the PC. It was alright.

Generations was boring and dumb, 06 was [redacted], and Shadow was shitty.

But half of Unleashed was decent. Kind of. Later levels sucked major dick though.

Fuck.

For anime I recommend:

 

-One Piece (650+ eps) - I know it's alot. I know a lot of people hate it but only excuse they ever seme to have is the artwork. Honestly the story is one of the best I've seen. The creativity is just out of the world with this show. DO NOT watch the dubbed version. If you seen any dubbed version there's a likely chance you've seen the 4kids version which literally butchered the show with it's extreme censorship. What did they censor? They censored tattoos, guns,  cigars, cigarettes, text from books, character deaths, reduced signs of injury, removed any images of bombs or dynimate, and so on. The guns were replaced with super soakers. One of the main characters who smokes  a cigarette had it turned into a lollypop. They even ungagged a character in one scene with is a crime in by book!  Here's some youtube videos showing some of the edits:

 

 

I'm sure you can find more comparisons if you look. Just know that 4Kids has ruined a lot of animes so avoid them like the plague. There's a reason One Piece is so popular in Japan. There's a reason it's got 650+ episodes. The show is really good and worth the time to view it. Unlike some other animes it has very little filler.  There's probably 2 or 3 filler arcs in the entire series and you could skip them entirely without missing anything.

 

 

-Puella Magi Madoka Magica (12 eps.) - Don't judge it right away. You have to give it until episode 3 before it really kicks off.

 

-Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (50 eps?) - Apparently the originally wasn't true to the manga. So I'm told, and this one is. I've seen both and brotherhood is definitely the better of the two.

 

-Hunter x Hunter - (eps 110?) - This anime is still going. HxH has thoroughly impressed me with it's last arc. It's last arc has put it up there on par with Attack on Titan if not taken the crown.

 

 

I think others have already mentioned other animes I had in mind. I'll post more if I remember any.
