Exactly.  This is why I urge leaving the dialogue vague in that respect.  It's much easier for users to use their imaginations to embellish to their own tastes than it is to unhear dialogue that turns you off. 

 

"Kinks" are kinks because not everyone is into them.  PAHE/DoM is already catering to a niche audience around a particular kink—BDSM.  If you start introducing other kinks into DoM, you're shrinking the audience to the overlap on the Venn diagram of those two kinks; that's going to be a much smaller audience.  What you gain by catering to people who share that second (or third or whatever) kink will be less than what you lose in all the people who will be alienated by it.  (Just think of a kink you are turned off by—whether it's feet, scat, vore, whatever—and imagine the asymmetric negative response you'd have to that vs. a kink you like.)

 

I would strongly suggest avoiding adding any content around kinks other than BDSM unless you can make it entirely an opt-in.

I mean I did regret what I posted but I wasn't sure it wasn't my social anxiety going into overdrive,

I do know that there are people on the vulgar side of the spectrum who I don't always agree with. 

I am in favour of greater control. I've already sent some stuff into TAK so I'd happily send in a 'wholesome cut' of phrases that can be used in response if you two would like to help. Of course TAK would ultimately have to code in such options. Unless one of you has the will and the skill to provide the text responses to orders and questions yourself.

I don't claim to be an expert. I just I know I'm a disable writer  and if I can help out I'd like to.

I thought this mod is about differnet personalities, i don´t understand why  it should be only one or the other. And there allready is the persononality trait  Grumpy - Kind.

Grumpy Slaves calling me trash, kind slaves do not...  so how to expand this? a grumpy slave which is trained to be submissive could call itself a whore, a kind one trained, could call itself a sweet pet, i don´t know if there has to be a difference about male and female, futa, idk, maybe there was a missundaerstanding, i don´t want to become the dialouges ONLY dirty and vulgar !

Regret nothing, this is a valid discussion. And I believe Antiope_Apollonia is right even tho I wouldn't mind either way.

 

In ideal conditions slaves responses would be vulgar or not depending on their training stats, life background and maybe even location. In such conditions it wouldn't matter the player's taste because the slaver would punish or encourage such behaviour and in the end it would be the slave's "choice" to be vulgar or not.

 

But that level of detail has to be coded, tested and maintained and meanwhile many will be offended until its tuned and explained. Hence being vague is the most cost effective solution.

Exactly.  I could even imagine a whole additional DoM-scale mod, built around kinks instead of psychometrics.  Slaves have randomly seeded kinks, or lack thereof, and there could be a whole training element around getting them to embrace the player's preferred kinks.  

 

Wouldn't really be that exciting for me—aside from a complex interest in dominance/submission, my tastes are actually quite vanilla—but I can imagine it having a lot of appeal to a lot of folks.  Got a thing for dirty talk?  Train your slaves to talk dirty to you, or try to find some who already share your kink.  Don't have a thing for feet?  Train your slaves to stop talking about foot stuff.  Got a thing for golden showers?  Train your slaves to do piss stuff.  Don't have any interest in scat?  Train your slaves to stop talking about poop.  Etc.

 

But, of course, that's a whole other massive mod project.  DoM is already massive.  Better to keep it vague.

i'm of the same preference here, but if dom is to go down the road of talking dirty or catering to kinks, i'd suggest using the same method as always aggressive toggle to add those kinks as an option

Yeah I feel like Kink Metrics slavery would have to be its own separate mod especially as that's a very wide and deep ocean. I mean I have a kink that outside of an accidental feature of Display Model isn't catered to on loverslab and technically there are already mods that let your character eat shit and a vanilla quest involving cannibalism.

I am suddenly feeling very glad thast in the 40 pages of dialogue suggestions I sent to TAK already I was rather tame (aside from the odd bit of toilet humour with scared characters pissing themselves or characters wondering if a drink is cum - to be clear those aren't kinks of mine I just got bored writing so many of the same perspectives over and over lol)

found  funny but bad bug. remember how i said that some times if you tell a slavew to clean they go back to their home? welll i found a side effect of it that can happen. i told a slave to clean breeze home. i didnt notice that she left and went to her orginal home. i went around the city to some palces. exit game come back today and i notice every cell i had went to   after telling her the items where cleaned up. dragonreach, breze home, the inn and other placaes had  al ltheir items cleaned up.

so basicaly if a slave goes home to clean it can cauuse a bug wehre every zone a pleyer goes to might get cleaned up. doesnt seem like every time thou.

I don't like cleaning because she took away my 2 skyforge steel greatswords I had above my bed -_-

 

Also, is there a way I can change slave HP? Before I installed DoM, they had health based on what they were (bandit, bandit outlaw, highwayman etc) Now they all just have 1000 health.  Its only an issue because I play as a mage, and I use them to tank but they are so buff they make legendary too easy. I know, first world problems XD

1st go  into mcm you can tell them ot ignore stuff for cleaning
2nd you might wan tot restart the pahe quest they suppose to drop back down to normal hp. the 1k hp is a effect to protect them from somethn gi forget what it was thou

Okay, thanks! I will try it now :)

 

Resetting the pahe quest didn't fix it :( Instead i used pahe to reclone one of them. that has him back to 109 health, but now it says there is two of them, instead of 1. so my active slaves is now at 4 XD ahhh!

release the extra slave either thru dialogue or thru the mcm

Yeah, I plan to use the menu since there isn't actually two slaves. I just need to capture someone else to act as a divider because I don't know which slave is the fake one XD

 

I was too lazy. I recloned all three from the top, took them into my house and tied them. then I rebooted pahe and that cleared the list back to normal and fixed the hp. Though it did rename one of them with the same name as a different slave, I imagine because she was a bandit I renamed and he was a unique hunter from ill met by moonlight. Anyway, thanks for helping me get there, guys! ❤️

The 1000 hp bug was created when slaves were attacking the player to avoid followers to kill them with one hit. I will add a check at startup to recompute HP for slaves stuck at 1000 for whatever reason.

I feel like you are using the wrong approach here. You use a script to increase the base HP to prevent the slave from being killed, and this then leads to further issues where slaves are stuck at 1000 HP and you need to catch that later and fix it. It has become somewhat a pattern over that last weeks that 1000 HP slaves show up in bad situations (the last one that I personally encountered was on an AYGAS slave fight, one of the slaves always won and checking the console she had 1000 HP).

 

In my opinion the proper way to handle this situation would be to:

  • create a magic effect that temporarily adds 1000 HP, without any visible effect
  • create a spell that applies the effect with some time, e.g. 1 minute
  • use a script to apply the spell to the slave when they try to run away (e.g. Spell.Cast)

Advantages:

  • it will clean up automatically when the spell runs out
  • if set up correctly, re-applying the effect while it is still active will just reset duration
  • you do not modify the NPC statistics, so it cannot collide with mods that try to modify the base statistics

i hope i don´t get so much outrage for a suggestion again, but what exactly do you intend with this spank slave item ?? is there any difference to the pahe whip? or zaz whip ?

if it´s going to be what i think it´s going to be.... it would be cool to have some wounds triggered by this thing

For the moment it should give spank marks and a chance to break the pose of the slave, leading to extra punishment reason.

I switched to AE after seeing this, too, and it took me quite a while because the mod list is huge... but so far it seems to be fine.

as i will  keep saying.
IF a mod you like to use hasnt updated to AE and you deem it a neccary mod just stay on  SE.
but if all your mods have updated to AE then just go AE. as there no reason to stay on SE then.
a good example is IMPV i use it and it has no AE update. since i spend half the time in first person its a manditory mod fo rme so i stay on SE till it updates or something else comes alone thats better or similar enough.

people keep acting llike the AE update is a boggy man.

You're right AE SE transition is not as huge as LE to SE. You can even use SE mods out of the box, as long as they don't use DLLs. I have a lot of SE mods in my mod list and I have no problem with them.
