2. Would love to get lock difficulty to scale with difficulty setting or even have a separate slider even? For my playstyle so far lockpicking is by far the easiest way out of anything that even has locks because most of them have adept or apprentice level locks, which are trivial even with just 1 lockpick per minigame. The only ones where I have to resort to struggling are abadon things that have expert+ levels, which yeah, are easy to jam with just 1 lockpick. :)

I think this issue is further worsened by fairly high chances for lockpicking prompts across the board. With my difficulty setting it takes me 5-20 stamina bars to struggle out of anything (physical, magical or cutting), while only taking 0.5-2 bars to lockpick my way out of it unless I get super unlucky with a jammed lock. I think number of locks and their difficulty should scale with difficulty setting more. Frequency of lockpicking/unlocking prompts too, maybe? - Noted

 

3. Is there any particular reason the orgasm exhaustion debuff setting is capped at 2 minutes? Wanted to do something like making struggling much harder over time with stacking orgasm debuffs if they're too frequent, but with just 2 minutes it doesn't really do anything. Likewise, would love to see a setting for magnitude and length of struggling exhaustion debuff. - Will increase the possilbe length,. About the struggle exhastion, I will try to add MCM setting in beta 5.

 

Either way, it already became a must-have for my playthrough even as it is. So, thank you for that. :)

I have installed the mod and equipped rope armbinder from DD. Using Unforgiving devices struggle mechanics I have managed to get free from it, but the next device that I equipped (it was DD staightjacket) wasn't displayed correctly in UD details menu - the mod was still thinking I have rope armbinder equipped. In debug menu there were two devices equipped - rope armbinder and a straightjacket. Trying to unlock rope armbinder from debug menu did nothing, but unlocking the straightjacket worked fine (it was actually unequipped). But in the debug menu straightjacket was still present - just like rope armbinder before. So there is a bug that unlocked device isn't removed from correctly and UD still thinks it's on

My guess is that after you unlocked the armbinder, you started to equipp the straitjacket too fast before the armbinder was properly unlocked. This created some kind of issue. But this is just guess, i will have to look in to it.

For now you can you please try to replicate the bug? Try to unlock one restrain with debug menu (or normally, it doesn't mater) and then immediately after, try to lock some other device. Feedback from this could be really helpfull for me to figure out if its realy caused by what I mentioned.

Unfortunately I couldn't repeat this error (cleaned and installed latest version) but I have another issue - how the devices are getting patched.

Adding red leather armbinder grom DD via additem menu. The device doesn't have any modifiers and has no cut option. Repatching it in MCM debug menu makes "cut" option appear. Then added steel yoke - initially no modifiers, then repatching it in debug menu - in a few seconds modifiers are added. 

I wonder how it is intended to work? Devices that are equipped are patched automatically and I just need to wait?

UD V2.0b3, Skyrim SE (not AE). DCL 9

 

I have an issue with a piercing: Jeweled Piercings (Clitoral) (Soulgem).

 

A DCL quest requires it to be equipped. I click on it in the inventory, I get the question to if I want to equip it. I say yes. Problems:

 

- it does not appear on the character.

- clicking on it again does not bring up the UD menu, simply removes it, I can throw it to the ground

 

- in UD debug menu, the piercing is visible, looks OK, it has UD stats, I can Activate it, Unlock, etc.

- however, if I drop the piercing to the ground, the debug screen still sees it, except in this case I can't Unlock it.

 

- the DCL quest does not see the equipped piercing, it insists that I should equip it.

 

 

I tried with a (Common Soulgem) version too, similar result.

 

Anyone else having issues with these Piercings?

Edit: I looked around in DD 5.1. The vaginal piercing has no bodyslide file. I also checked it w/o UD (no proper cleaning, just a rude disabled plugin test), and the vaginal piercings didn't work. So I think it is not related to UD after all.

 

Except: could someone test if the above piercing in the Spoiler works in their game please?

 

Update 2: OK, I figured it out. SMP is the culprit. It works on slot 50, which is the same as the clit piercing. 3BBB has an MCM menu, where the SMP slot can be moved to a different slot. This solved my problem. Anyway, this might be worth mentioning as a possible issue on the mod desc.

Never mind, figured it out. I didn't put patches after main mod in load order. After I changed that everything stared working fine

A letter. If he doesn't want to give it to you, you can try to steal it from ysolda. I use ysolda as the one who sends the letter to player so if the courier doesn't have it, she may have.

Loose is modifier which allow wearer to escape the device even with tied hands. I made this mainly for mittens so its possible to remove them when actor wears yoke (because most yokes can only be lockpicked and you can't lockpick with mittens). But I also added is possibility for more device types like blindfolds, gags etc. When you see the Loose modifier in detail menu it will also tell you how effective this modifier is. So if Loose modifier is 75%, it means struggling will have 75% efficiency.

I have noticed that when you use keys to unlock the devices the keys are not removed after you successfully unlock the restraint.

They are removed only when they break. Could you add key consumption feature?

Ok, so Ysolda doesn't have a letter either, the courier talks to me and says he has something for me, but he doesn't give me a letter.

I have only found one Strange Letter with the console, but there is no quest for that either when I read it.

This is already implemented as part of basic DD but you need to have device which have this feature set up.

Thats strange. You can try to go to Halted Stream Camp and find the abadon plug. It is on the table where the bandit chief is. It will skip the whole courier part this way.

I don't have a plug there in the mine either.
I can add him with player.additem xxx, then I get the set created in the MCM menu also correctly.
I look forward to further updates and hope the quest works better. ?

Hi everyone,

this seems like a really interesting mod but I do not understand how it works. I got DD 5.1 and Cursed loot 9.0 installed + latest available version of this mod. I got trapped in various standard DDE restraints and was expecting some custom struggle mechanics but could not get them to trigger. All I get is the standard DD mechanics when going to inventory and click on the specific device. What am I missing? What is supposed to happen and how do you use this mod in practice for getting out of devices?

Plug shouldn't spawn up until you use the letter, tested, it appeared right under my nose.
But when courier approach is not triggered (lvl 5 and bleak falls completed I think?) one can definitely read it from Ysolda's pockets, even without pickpocketing.

It should be exactly that letter i think since it is defined in quest variables by refid, adding the other letter and reading it won't work.

Make sure you've installed and enabled UD patches for DD and DCL, and put it to the bottom of plugin load order so its records are overwriting everything, like this:

Also leaving UD at the bottom is useful in case there is an update so you won't mess your plugin load by disabling some of plugins.

Where do you get those patch files from? I did not see them in the file section of the mod for download

Loving the new changes, loot getting randomized is certainly step in right direction!

And finally we can get some lockpicks!

 

Only one problem spotted so far - some patched DD devices, such as Rusty Iron Heels for example, get UD struggle menu, but out of all actions only unlocking with their key is available, and no way to pick locks. And being Iron they are not possible to struggle out. Will try to write out all items I spot with problems like this and report to you.

 

One thought - maybe it's time to start thinking about contraptions and their struggle?

Can confirm that some heretic devices are a glitchy, they can only be unlocked by a key.

And subjectively, contraptions are so underwhelming that I'd completely toggle the plugin off if it wasn't for DCL requirement. UD can use a lot of other stuff before considering those.

It seems a bit bugged in my game as well. I got a debug message that Abadon courier sent.

 

She arrived (I use a custom courier mod), but she gave me a message about a Shout wall location. I pickpocketed the courier, she didn't have any other message. Maybe her current task, to deliver some vanilla message overwrote the UD task?

 

Then I went to Ysolda (also modded by Bijin NPCs and Amorous Adventures), she had the Strange letter and the quest started.
