panthercom Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I'm trying to get a handle on how the Sexout MCM settings affect the voice selections; it appears that for non-con sex with voices enabled I wind up with two sets of voices and effects playing simultaneously. So the very first act was NC oral, and I was getting getting sucking and pussy slop sounds at the same time, as well as two sets of voices coming from my character. Consensual sex seemed to work normally. If I load custom voices in, do I turn off both sets of voices then in the MCM ? (use voices and in-game voices). I'm assuming for adding custom voices I just rename my replacement voices to overwrite the blank audio files in the appropriate folder? The added sounds for oral are a nice enhancement Thanks

If you leave them on, you'll get both mods playing sounds over the top of one another. If you want to hear this mod only, regardless of what you have or don't have installed, turn off all SexoutNG sounds in MCM. Roger that on installing custom voices. There's a sample female voice in the second post. Simply drop the files into VoiceA-C folder in the fx/SOSr directory and overwrite the blank files. Then in-game, set your voice to TypeA-C corresponding to the folder you customized using the tuner item. Anytime.

Ellewah Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 So I have a question, when I replace the files here like the older version (Sound\Voice\SexoutSound.esp\playervoicefemale) the custom sounds works fine in my game. So what difference does it make if I put my files here (Sound\fx\SOSr\voiceA) instead? Cheers!

So that you can have more than one voice installed, and switch between them, without the need to install files every time you want to do so. EDIT: Also to separate player customizations and modder customizations. ie. Custom companion mods that install their own sex voices to a voicetype folder. I can't think of an off-hand reason why a modder would alter the player default voicetype though, so really it just gives you an extra voice slot if you're willing to do the file naming fandango. There are no subtitles to see. Other than [Playing File #] spammed to your screen every second. Which is why it disables them. The subtitle setting is for 'subtitle resume'. It will set your subtitle setting to this setting 'after' sex. Disable any sounds you don't want to hear, in SexoutNG or any other mod. They have no effect on this mods settings. The reason the OP says to disable them is that it is assumed that if you're installing a sound replacer, you no longer want to hear the sounds you're replacing. I've added some more settings that allow you to selectively disable SFX.

shardoom Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Hello t3589 Was just wondering, does the newer files for SOS require the newest SexoutNG? I'm currently already using your replacer version 20140519. I tried updating to 20140526 but I couldn't get it to work, the sounds wouldn't play. I haven't updated my SexoutNG for a while though, so I'm just wondering if that is/was the cause? My sexout versions are: Core 2.6.82 Data 2.6.80

Versions of the Sound Replacer that aren't on the downloads page should be considered dead. ie. If it isn't current I can guarantee something is wrong with it. You should uninstall all previous versions, and make sure you're using the data pack in the download (the old data pack is broken).
shardoom Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Ugh, well what I have seems to work completely fine tbh. I don't want to update my sexoutNG. For a couple of reasons tbh. I'm not a huge fan of some of the newer anims so I downgraded a while back. Then When I decided to upgrade to check it I ran into some massive alignment issues. Downgraded again and it went back to normal. From what I've been told on here before I'm guessing the newer SexoutNG uses more scripts or more intensive scripts than the older one I'm using, which is causing the script which fires upon sex initiation to fire up wrong. *Sigh* I'm using one of the female sound packs in the OP, deleted most of the sounds in the voice folders and turned off the sexoutng default sounds. I was mainly interested in your improved delays and pauses. No biggie though I guess. Thanks for the reply.
t3589 Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 SexoutNG is going through some growing pains right now, that's all. In the end we'll end up with a better framework. That being said this mod now uses the newer interface. This interface doesn't exist in the old SexoutNG as far as I know, which means its not likely to work properly with any version before the new interface was put in. I'm confused. You couldn't get it to work, or it works completely fine? Or you mean the rest of your mods maybe?
shardoom Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 The older SOS I'm using works completely fine. I just saw some of your latest refinements and thought, "Me wants that!" Is all. lol
