Thanks, though actually that's more of a (albeit probably big) step towards my pet feature, which would be the ability to set favorite animations. Still thank you as always, your continuous work to improve this framework for us little deviants is greatly appreciated. ^^
And hey, don't tell me you don't like bratty. ;)

I have problems with the magical wrist binding effect. Even tho i set the hardcore mode to 100 and enabled it even in combat no armbinder animation is shown. The effect can be seen in the mcm and it also shows that hardcore is active. The only time the animation is shown is if i walk in combat stance. Everything else is working, i have already checked all version of required mods, generated FNIS and started a new game. Any idea what could be causing this? :)

How the feature works. This is from section 16 of Toys&Love - Features:

  • Magical Wrist Restraints - Random animations for hands tied behind your back. You can break out as needed for things like combat
  • Hard Core Magical Wrist Restraints - The Magical Wrists Restraints, if enabled in MCM, may switch to a hardcore mode where you cannot break out. You can kick in combat though
  • Arm Binding - Same as Hard Core Magical Wrist Restraints, but no MCM option to disable or make it random
  • Yoke Binding - Similar to Arm Binding, but in the position for a yoke

If you want Magical to be always HardCore (essentially, behave the same a s Arm Binding), your setting should be as in this pic (both chances 100)...

When you first change the setting, it will take up to 1min to become active. After that, the toy will act like the Arm Binding Effect.

 

If this does not work, the first thing to confirm is that a regular Arm Binding Effect toy works for you. Like a wrist toy marked (locked), or the Armbinder from the Classic Toy Box. If that does not work then it's an installation problem. We can dig deeper. I'd want to know if you are using Nemesis Is Nemesis supported? and get your Papyrus Log  How to get a Papyrus Log? with a short game session where you recreate the problem.

Forgive me if this is a silly question, but does this mod use the same assets as the DD framework? Or are the meshes/textures different?

  • The author who took over SLUTS, already made a mod for Toys (Toyful Temptations), so it's already very likely on their radar, but poking helps
  • I don't know if anyone is active on Slaverun, but it would be a big project as I'm sure Slaverun has thousands of lines of code dedicated to using the 3 legacy frameworks. But it would most certainly be the best way to do a Slaverun Revival, and make it better than it ever was

Would be great if those authors would do that, but it's fighting the effort needed for them to move away from an entrenched system.

 

In the meantime, many thanks to you and the others on what has been produced so far :)

I am not using Nemesis.

I have tested the armbinders from the Classic Toy Box and they do not work as well.

Steps i have done so far:

- checked for correct SSE Versions

- running FNIS

- running LOOT

- running toys self test -> works fine

- new game

 

I have attached my modlist, loadorder and papyrus log from a short session testing armbinders and wrist cuffs.

Let me now if you need more info or if i should test something.

Something wrong with FNIS for sure. That's almost a given when you said "I have tested the armbinders from the Classic Toy Box and they do not work as well"

Those errors in your log say... Toys and Shout Like a Virgin, both called FNIS to register their alternate animations (these are the special type used for arm binding, yoke, crawling, and some others), and FNIS could not do so. XPMSE is also getting errors trying to use FNIS (3rd one).

 

Normally FNIS will produce errors for anything like this, when you generate. Look closely at your FNIS display seen when generating for errors.

Even if FNIS does not report errors, you must look to FNIS for your solution, with FNIS giving that clear message in your log.

 

Also probably unrelated, but what the heck is "All in one Database Links PapUtil"? Your log has many errors and warnings spammed, which could all be very meaningless (not harmful), but hard to say, and the only mod I think that could generate them is that one.

Thanks for your help! It was indeed a problem with FNIS. I deleted all FNIS files and reinstalled FNIS. After running FNIS everything worked as intended.

Hello, I've got a question: Is there any setting to disable the curse of talos, because Im doing other quests rightnow and due to the mod my character's equipping random toys automatically (even if there is no toy in my inventory).

And you can also avoid the curse by sneaking as you can read there, in the MCM.

Tried out Toys for the first time. It's way cleaner and better than Devious Devices. Unfortunately, too many mods rely on DD right now for full functionality =( . Thanks for all of the sick modding you do VirginMarie.

Hi @VirginMarie, Great work!

 

You are surely have your hands full with the mods you are already maintaining. But i still have to ask of you, if you could take a look at the mods:

 

SL Solutions SE

SL Confabulations

 

How complicated would it be to create a patch for those mods, in order to use them with T&L framework?

If it is a easy thing, would you create the patches?

 

There are lots of quest mods out there, that are not maintained anymore, but still working. I tried a load order with only T&L and without SL mods, but i miss lots of quest mods.
