I already have far too many mods to maintain and improve. And that is where my focus will be.

@Everyone Looking for Feedback - Travelling Bondage Shop

 

@mercplatypus and I are planning a feature built in Toys&Love, where mods using Toys&Love, can request a visit of the Travelling Bondage Shop.

 

Maybe the Travelling Bondage Shop shows up when visiting the Toys Workshop. In Toy Story, you might meet the creepy merchant during some points along its quest. The creep could make appearances where customers are plentiful like in the Dark Desires Club, or while something is happening in Shout Like a Virgin. Maybe he saves your ass when in HoT&WeT when you badly needed a thermal toy to stay alive, but for a steep price. The possibilities are endless, and we are talking about future mods using Toys&Love too of course!

 

The Shop is a Pony Cart, pulled by a Slave Girl, and comes with a Creepy Merchant who of course sells toys and other important things like sugar, skooma, keys, and Oversexed Cure Potions. The keys, potions, and some other items are constantly out of supply and there's other ways you can "earn" his hard-to-get wares. You might need to pull his cart for him or provide demonstrations to customers. He needs your help but don't count on him being entirely trustworthy!

 

 

Suggestions? Thoughts?

That's right. Actually, I have already translated it (like 5 others), but an incomprehensible problem arose with MSM in the scripts

All other functions work fine, but for some reason the names of the animations disappear. I checked it several times, but I didn't find the reason.?

Does he takes orders? (Likely not via: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13317 though there is an idea + if he does he might occasionally need someone to make deliveries).

Text for Love Scene Names are in the data (JSON files) within Love & SLaL Animation packs. I don't think you are going to want to translate them.

 

As for a translation text file, it's already on my list. Since people keep working around the lack if this, seemingly fine, it's not very high on my list, and then there's complexities like your example above. Another example would be the names of toys in Toy Boxes.

Maybe. Going to focus on the travelling bondage shop being a feature that shows up across mods. So maybe a mod's quest places an order for a type of quest or item, so that you get a quest to acquire or deliver, that is fitting for the mod you are playing.

 

You might meet the creep for the first time while in the Dark Desires Club, get a quest to deliver or go demo a sexy ponytail to Riften Bunkhouse boss. Then while doing this, you might run into an NPC from Shout Like a Virgin, who is telling of a thief who stole the Dibella statue but was there asking the creep to be on the lookout for it. It might be more worthwhile to bring it to the creep, instead of its rightful owner. A quest could feel like it started in one mod, but completed in another, even though it really did not because it's happening in the common framework.

I did not touch this file at all. Yes, and as you can see on the screenshots, there are generally animations from the ANUB SLAL package (the same with all other packages). No, it's the scripts that matter here - the translation of some lines breaks it, but it's not clear what kind of lines. If a text-based MCM is too complicated, well, for scripts, I will limit myself to translating pop-up messages and explanations into the MCM. There are no problems in this version, but the translation will not be completely complete.

Indeed. The lines getting broken probably are these...

This is just more of a  reminder for anyone in the future that may have issues with  items from the mod not lining up 100% right after building your body. I  was troubleshooting it myself and searched the thread for similar questions  / answers. The fault was all mine I forgot  I use a Output folder for bodyside on MO2  and since I was just doing a quick test with this mod  combined with Dark Desires Club. I forgot to move this mod above my bodyslide output folder so the bodys I build get used. I wasted like 3 hours i even swapped to  BHUNP just incase lol.

No, it's not exactly that... or rather, it's not at all. I just don’t need to adjust the height of the PС - it’s already 1. But the height of the NPC is from 0.92 to 1.1. In SL, the function of aligning all actors involved in animations to 1:1 is available and works quite satisfactorily.

Scaling actors on the fly, is well known to cause CTDs. I've tried... hard... to do this. But it's CTD hell for me, so seemed best to not implement the feature. Sexlab does warn of this too. I suppose it could still be an MCM option, off by default, but imo, no option, no matter how much you warn the user, should be direct cause of known CTD.

Yes, of course, I saw this warning, but somehow, in all the years of using this function, I did not encounter the CTD precisely for this reason. And I use it, for the reason described above, it is strictly necessary.

I do agree that this would be very nice to have.

The feature is not very hard to do, but when I tried it, I could not test it, because I was consistently CTDing. I can't remember if it was LE, or SE, or both. 

As part of the next release, I will try it again, maybe experimenting with some different timing of when it happens.

What does it look like in game? Means very little to me till its seen and compared in game. These are very small parts in game, and in those cases, a fancy texture may not even be noticed.

 

We already did replace textures for all gold items. This includes not just Toys Framework, but other mods in the family too. The objective was to make them be all the same gold so they can work together. They also uniformly glow in the dark, or at least that was the goal. This was very worthwhile. This does not mean identical textures, but just a common gold color.

 

Thus... any change requires changing all gold items. Not my skill set. But if someone else wanted to do it... a bodyslide and textures overhaul. You would need to go beyond textures and be skilled in bodyside too I think.  And if you are a modeler too, the time would be better spent making new toys. There's been suggestions that the bodyslide packages should be updated to the latest 3ba stuff and of course some want it for latest BHUNP... but same case here... show me why it's better and worthwhile, and not taking longer to render. I've tried it a bit (latest 3ba), and sure can't see any difference. if we can't see the difference in game...
