Packages can be a bit finnicky.

Amen to that.

I've seen this mod appear the other day, but hadn't have the chance to play or look at it, yet. It definitely looks very promising, I'll give it a spin in the next couple of days and take a good look under the hood for the dancing. :D

You're welcome to whatever you can use, Bruce. Let me know if I can help out. :)

Very cool mod.  I've only experienced a portion of the mod, but it's a lot of fun so far.  Looking forward to what lies ahead.  Thanks for this Docta, nice work.

A quick question.  The first time I installed this, I was getting insta-CTDs.  I came back and noticed in the forum that you had an updated esp.  After installing that, all went well.  I reinstalled the game because of some other mods I was unsure of.  I didn't use the updated esp the second time I installed (I forgot to), but it worked.  The only issue I was having was every time I exited the game, I crashed.  I didn't think about the updated esp before I decided to reinstall again.  So my question is, is the updated esp essential?

Link to comment

The updated esp is now the regular release esp, snazzi. I'm gonna delete those temporary versions to avoid confusion. As long as you have the current regular release, you shouldn't have a problem, aside from the few things that are mentioned in the OP/second post, or the occasional package getting uppity. What happened at the time was SCR was going through some changes, & maybe something got deleted from a form list that SOFO referred to. Wasn't essential or anybody's fault, but it was enough to cause a slight incompatibility, is my guess.

I also got the crashes on exit in my previous install, both from the game and the geck - have no idea why. Used to be a given that that could happen even in vanilla, then it went away for a while especially after I got NVSR, & then it came back at some point while I was writing and testing SOFO. Doesn't seem to happen now that I've started a fresh install, but neither SOFO nor anything else is loaded atm. Can't think of anything in particular that's in it that would cause it.

Based on the undeniable folksy home spun logic that you can't stay upset when you're dancing.  Can you make it so it improves the PCs mood when they dance?

Well, I suppose I could apply a brighter, more colorful imagespace modifier. Other than that there's really not much else I could do to give people that feel, I reckon.

lol  I said that because the PC I was testing with was in an awful mood.  Then I had her dance and I thought 'awww why so glum sugar pants?  You can't stay downcast when you're dancing.'.

I think it's IMCNNV that adds that?  I could be mistaken.  I meant something more like add positive mood points for dancing.  Not a huge issue.  Just a thought.

EDIT: In short, it was late, I was bored, lack of sleep,  and I started talking to my PCs... again. lol

Yeah it's Imp's more complex needs that adds the mood tracker. I think there's a compatibility patch out there for one of the mods that makes sex improve mood and rape degrade it, but I forget which mod had it, if I'm actually remembering correctly.

How do you think she got in a bad mood while testing voices?  lol

Can't remember what does that either.  Might be Lust?

That's what I thought too but the only add-on patches I saw in Lust were for primary needs/one hud tracking of lust and arousal. I know Kennel has a Imp's complex needs patch to make the rations nutritional values.

Hmm... ah I found it: Sexout IMCNNV I knew I had seen it somewhere. lol

DS, you mention in each folder how much room there is (like 25, 40, etc) does that mean you should have that as a *minimum* or that you should not exceed that? What if it says 40 and say, I have 41, is that a problem?

EDIT: Also, when using the radio nv extender batch file to convert to 128 bitrate mp3, it asks me after I input mp3 format "enter the scale <volume> of the audio < -5db is 0.562, -10db is 0.316, -15db is 0.178, -20db is 0.1, 0db is 1.0>" which one do I pick?

EDIT II: Nvm, went with 0db and they sound the same, so I assume it worked. Last stupid question though, which ones do I use, I'm assuming the new ones that were generated in the root radionvextender folder itself, and not the ones I put in the actual "music to convert folder" right?

EDIT III: By the way, it seems that for the actual "convert to mono ogg" function to work, the files need to be placed in the root folder of radionvextender (not the "music to convert folder" ... I was wondering why when I pressed it took like 1 second lol.

Thanks.

Ah, it's an absolute number really. Every track that gets played is triggered by a topic line pointing to a geck sound entry that points to the actual sound file in your data folder; if you put in more, they won't get played because there are no geck sound entries or topic lines for them. If you put in fewer you'll get silences sometimes, which is why I recommend making a few copies if you don't have as many as the number that's suggested. That's just the way the cookie crumbles, I'm afraid. The suggested numbers are actually just based on how many I was able to set aside for each category myself, rounded up. It's as a good a method as any ;)

The db values shouldn't matter much - just how loud it plays will always also be determined by the volume in the original as well as users' game settings. I forgot it asked for that actually - for the mp3 conversion I personally use goldwave's batch conversion @ 256 kbps. I suggest the radio nv extender option for most people because they'll need it for the conversion and renaming to mono oggs anyway, and they don't have to mess around with different bitrate settings to get something that works, reducing the chance of false bug reports.

And yes, you use the resulting files, not the originals. The workflow here is that

- you use the rnvextender mp3 conversion batch to streamline your audio files to a filetype and bitrate the game engine will recognize for playback on your pipboy. (put originals in MusicToConvert, the result will be in the folder with the radionv batches)

- you use the renaming batch in the sofo folders so the sound entries can find them. (put the mp3-conversion results in the sofo folders & run the batch, or copy the sofo batch to the radionv folder with the batches and run it there)

- you use the other rnvextender batch to create mono ogg copies (copy, convert & rename) so that the tracks get played on the in-world radios in doc m's house (put in the folder with the radionv batches, the result will be there too)

- then make sure mp3s and oggs are in the sofo folders they need to be

Bit of a juggling act, I know, especially if you have to work with windows explorer as a general file manager, but there's really no way around it. The only way I could make it easier is grab the radionv batches & dlls and put them in sofo itself, but that raises the issue of permissions etc.

Well, it took quite a bit of doing, but I managed to replicate exactly the contents of your song folder, right down to the last song.  :)

The bad news is, whenever I load up SexoutFleshedOut, my game loads and then freezes when the menu is supposed to load.  :(

No idea what is going on, I have Lust, CheckMeOut, Sexout Clothing Eval, the data pack (and not the esp!) of Groovatron, and SexoutNG 2.6.77 25th March 2013 and SCR Alpha/Beta 20130420.

Do you have the newest versions of SCR and Sexout? I was getting the same problems, but upgrading both fixed it.

Link to comment

Yes, "SexoutNG 2.6.77 25th March 2013 and SCR Alpha/Beta 20130420." which as far as I know are the latest versions.

I think the same thing is happening that happened last time, in that SCR got updated and something got broke in the process. Can anybody else confirm if this works with the versions above? I'm reverting to SCR 20130328 to see if that works.

EDIT: Works fine with the SCR stable version 20130328.1 - anybody experiencing a freeze issue on load can get around it by reverting to that issue.

Link to comment

Yeah, that'll be it - recent changes to SCR's clothes swapping, most likely. Let me know if the esp in attachment is compatible with SCR 20130420. Thanks for going the extra mile in FNVEdit - as I said, I don't have a working install now so bughunting's a little difficult. But all I see there is that AWOP & slavetown have a few minor dirty edits and that you may need to create a little patch combining sofo's cell edits with those of interior lighting.

Replicating my playlist is really above & beyond ;) If you're gonna spend some time with it, I'd like to hear your opinion about path 4 - it has as much content as a few of the others combined.

The attached version works. I wasn't aware you don't have a working install, sorry, I thought maybe it could have been an incompatibility. I'm going to lay off ILO or ENB anyways because my interiors are pitch black, I basically switch it off whenever I'm indoors.

I'll get back to you on this later when I've played some more, thoroughly enjoying it!

No need for apologies - I just mentioned it to point out that I can't thorougly test any fix myself atm. All I did to unfreeze the menu is open SOFO with the new SCR as master & re-save without doing anything else, which did the trick last time around.

I'm having a closer look now & am afraid I'm gonna have to update a script or 2 though - Hal renamed a few things in the course of accomodating more variety in torn clothing, and the clothes swap scripts I had in place in 2 specific scenes now point to editorIDs that no longer exist. The same goes for a form list I use. Until that's sorted out, you can expect problems there.
