Hmm Lets see....

I helped a friend today by encouraging him to get his licences and take a small spin in my car.

It just keeps getting better and better, I got a season job working on a beach renting vehicles and water-ski equipment. Naturally, the pay is shite and it's barely worth getting out of bed in the morning, but I get to spend the whole day on a FUCKING BEACH! The sea, the waves, the pretty women in bikinis...I had a feeling this year was gonna be a good one.

Cowabunga, baby!

Positive thought: Ran out of booze in the middle of a binge, had to drive to the store to restock, almost totalled my car at a red light (fuck, red lights at that time of night?) but made it in time to the store before it closed and am back home in one piece and a new bottle of bourbon.

Exciting ride, makes you feel alive

I feel like I'm in paradise... It's 2.40 a.m. in my country and for the first time after long time I can hear bird's singing and enjoy in it. No annoying sea gal's croaking, no stupid dog's barking, not idiots screaming and shouting in the middle of the night... nothing .. but heavenly sound of bird's singing.

The rain is falling on thing Monday morning here in Philly. I can hear the birds chirping. I was able to get to Dunkin Donuts before the rust be the first to get my coffee & breakfast, I was easily able to get a parking space before hitting the train to center city.

My monitor today had decided to stop working. Dead like a dead cow. The led, turned off. No signal.

I was about to start searching for the producer's nearest maintenance center, ready to spend some money to fix it or buy a replacement. Then suddenly I took a screwdriver and started opening the carter. While doing it, I was convinced it was a really bad idea, but I told myself I had nothing to lose. After ten minutes of useless fight with the plastic cover (now bearing the scratches of my intrusion attempt) I decided to let go and started reassembling it. And you know what? Must be my lucky day... It turned out it was some accumulated dirt causing a short circuit or something. The monitor is back online... oh joy!

I love experiences like that. Similar thing happened to my sister's CRT 20" monitor. Just when we thought we should buy a used one, I opened it, clean it and it started to work again. :)

I tried to buy 400 SMITE Gems a few days ago. As usual, it didn't work, cuz it gave me the same gray screen I always see, with no way to complete the purchase. So, I did what I always end up having to do, and went to G2A to get Gems. Made my purchase, got my code, copy/pasted to the Redeem box in-game, and it told me I didn't have a correct code. I typed it in manually, and got the same result. Copy/pasted like 3 more times, nothing.

So, I contacted G2A via email, and told them I had gotten a code I couldn't use. No response. Tried again to use the code, didn't work, contacted G2A, no response. Checked my email again today, no response, so I tried the code they sent me yet again, and lo and behold, the motherf***er worked! As if by some miracle. 400 Gems appeared, like a ray of hope from the Gods above (see what I did there? ;)). So I contacted G2A and told them "my bad", and out of curiosity, clicked on another Gems purchase, just to see what might happen. It showed the gray screen again, but I saw a left and right arrow I never noticed before, or perhaps just ignored. I clicked on the left arrow, and it went to a Gem purchase screen. All I had to do was click that friggin arrow!

So, not only did my SMITE Gems purchase from G2A work, after seeing it rejected so many times, but I can now actually buy Gems from the game itself, as I'm sure Hi-Rez Studios intended.

Grim Shadow Nox...here I come!
