Not my favourite line either lol. Kinda funny though. I'll probably start work on Hookups next, but I'll leave some of the goofy lines because I think as ridiculous as they are, they do represent reality to some point, some people really don't have a clue and I've heard worse lines.

You have to leave the goofy lines in ;) just add a SexoutNGHUGoofyToken and have some goofy responses when they use goofy lines. Would make it more diversified and fun!

When I get round to this, I think I'll be keeping them in for a few reasons.

 

First, they are funny as opposed to just gross (although that one straddles the line nicely)

 

Second, I've actually heard worse pick up lines IRL; people can be known to use really stupid/exaggerated/ridiculous/over the top/disgusting/unfunny pick up lines, so for realism sakes, variety is best.

 

Third, I think as in RL, it would make more sense for your to choose to have sex with someone that either dispenses with the lines and just approaches you outright or has something funny/witty to say. For every 'my love for you is like diarrhoea' there is a 'fuck off and die' line.

Is there a way to turn this mod around? SexoutSex is cool and all (Especially with CKs new dialogue) but its a gimme. You ask, you get laid, no challenge. It'd be cool to reverse hookups (maybe using smallertalk as a base to enable talking to anyone) so that you can drop cheesy lines on NPC in an attempt to get some with mixed results. Maybe throw in an intelligence and perception check to affect the quality and variety of lines you can use, and a charisma and faction rep check to affect their response.

EDIT: OOPS the question and the answer sould have been in SexoutSex!

 

This mod purpose is to have sex with whomever you want, as long as they have the same orientation as you.

It is not a dating simulation!

 

But I agree some challenge might be better and it should be possible to build it as optional.

Anyway, I won't do that (immediatly at least). My current goal is to get advantage of all the litle slaves in my cells. And I want to be able to order them around.

Update again:

 

Check restriction list with refID AND baseForm now. Using only refID was a bad idea.

Added restriction check to the companions/known NPC.

 

Adedd support for:

  • Arcade
  • Boone
  • Sunny

None happened during my test so unverrified, but cass an veronica worked before.

This is something I've been thinking about, but like jaam said, it would definitely be a SexoutSex thing, because that is where *you* drop the lines, here you are just approached by NPC's, and can choose to reply as you see fit. Simply randomising the lines here would effectively convey things such as NPC intelligence, wittyness, being a smoothtalker and so on.

 

I will, in the future, maybe run a poll to gauge what people think of making SexoutSex a little harder, in the form of speech checks, diversifying the pick up lines based on things such as intelligence/perception/charisma etc, and making it so that no matter what, you may not get sex (ie a definite 'no')

 

But that will probably be some time away I feel.

I tend to have flashes of brilliance/insanity in the shower, and today I had one for this mod. Is there a way to add equipment checks and special dialogue? And possibly location based comments? Some examples:

 

Wearing the Benny/President Kimball/Ambassador Crocker suits: "Nice suit, who'd you kill for it?"

 

In Camp McCarran/Golf/Forlorn Hope wearing Motor Runners Helmet or carrying Driver Nephi's 9-Iron: "That (Helmet/Golf Club) looks familiar, did you drop that bastard? How about I drop... my pants for you?"

 

Only two examples I could think of off the top of my head, but hopefully you get the idea.

actually it is indeed possible to do item checks and run statements based off of that... the problem then becomes get the statements or dialogue to fit in with all the other audio from the game so it doesnt sound cheesy and completely out of place. audio can break game-play (and immersion) for most people if it doesnt fit imperceptibly into the game.

 

so adding audio that isnt already there is either time consuming because you have to copy audio from the game and cut it down into pieces and rework that so it sounds right, or you have to try to fake accents, white noise, audio style of the game with a VO actor.

Thank you for this mod, Bromm, I've been enjoying it for a while ;-)

The role-play value is definitely there - I had a life-like moment a while ago, when my female char sat down at the Wrangler, downed three bottles of whiskey and guys started approaching the exact moment I left the inventory :-) Probably a coincidence, but still a nice touch.

 

I still have issues with females having MvF dialogue, though. Also, the dialogue in general is good, but it could use some polish - I would be willing to look into it, toss around some ideas, if you're interested.

It would be good if anyone would have a look at the dialogue and make some edits. As I have stated I really don't have the time to give the time the plugin deserve at the moment.

Well, I did make a few changes to the dialogue myself. It'd be cool if someone could browse through them and tell me what they think. MvF at the moment, I'll add the rest if you like it.

 

Changes - rewrote several sentences completely and changed some partially, fixed capitalization and punctuation. Based on the latest Alt version.
