hi there,

trying to costumize Ivy with LMCC via 'slm ... 1' and i have some trouble applying a costum skin color to her directly (ie a fantasy purple).

are there some limitation doing so?

i try to cue my color but it does not apply but only revert. if there any ways to get her colored, please let me know.

i got it worked out, postin if someone would like to alter skin color too, to a custom one:
as on front page of topic mentioned and eplained in faq in how to change haircut/haircolor and face, this will help out edditing everything beyound these two mentioned:

get yourself a female player char. i started a new game without any mods enables. getting off the vaul 111 start and heading to sanctuary. turn off the game and start it with all the body altering mods one need to have ivy later applied on. going into slm 14 1 console command to alter player char. applying all the change one desire and save it as a preset in lmcc.
then load back in the save where Ivy waits to be changed to desired appearance. in game console her to get her ref ID by clicking her, typing slm refID 1. now in lmcc go to preset and apply saved preset on her. with whole preset attached her custom skin color is finally changed.

i know there might some limitations in my knowledge to alter her abetter, but this worked for me.

open console while looking at Ivy. Then click on ivy. note her prid. then enter the command "slm [ivy's prid]". its better to use the console command "tai" before entering the slm command. after you are done in looks menu, enter into console "tai" again.

The radio station is not playing for me and I can't find a way to fix it any suggestions?

Are you running Ivy 5.3? I am assuming you mean it's not working inside her basement bunker? And are you running any other Radio Station mods?

So, you see WIVS in your Pip Boy but you hear nothing? her message should be telling you to reclaim her using her voucher. and repeating after a count down from 10. But that is a one time message. It has been known to bug from time to time. If you grab the voucher and head over to her bunker. Once inside, you should hear her radio station in the back ground. That's the normal WIVS radio. If you hear that, I wouln't worry too much about it.

Yup that is exactly my issue. Where is the voucher and bunker? This is my first time attempting to use this mod.

The Voucher would be found in the water between Sanctuary and Red Rocket. Between the Old North Bridge and the little island where the bloat flies are. It's in a locked suit case in the water there.

There may be an issue if the quest doesn't advance though. The voucher will not appear in the suitcase until you are told to bring it. The quest may have advanced without the audio and you will be fine. But if there is no voucher in it, we may have to try something else.

I just remembered, Ivy can send you to get the voucher herself.

So if you don't see it, go to the basement bunker in the back yard of the house a few up from your own on the same side of the street, And go down in there. She can send you to get the voucher

Okay I'll load up the game and check that then and report what happens then.

Okay it seems to work now.

A couple of questions ...  Well a question and an issue LOL

1. I am an idiot and would like to change her hair, but cannot figure out how.

I tried to do the combat software upgrade and it is not working right. When I load the upgrade tape it says the Hyper Combat options now need to be set int eh controller tape, but when I load the controller tape and go to hyper combat it tells me I have to run the upgrade.

If you listen to Ivy and remember when you 1st ran it, it states you need a code. Ivy says where it Should be and you get the quest.

Search for "HOW TO CHANGE IVY'S APPEARANCE IN GAME." here, the official documentation.

RE: Mod Compatibility

There are a lot of questions about which mods work with Ivy and which don't. Just as an FYI, so people know. @Reginald_001 doesn't keep a compatibility list of mods. Most mods are untested.  Talking with him in Discord, I know he has a set list of mods and a load order he doesn't vary from so he can develop Ivy consistently. There is a short list of known incompatibilities because of a "deep dive" into 2 particular mods by other members of the development team.

1. AFT

2. XDI

These 2 mods are known to be incompatible because they alter the FO4 vanilla follower framework, which Ivy relies on. Unlike Heather Casdin, who has her own framework, Ivy does not. Ivy utilizes FO4s vanilla framework in order to ensure compatibility with the game and it's systems where most of her extra functions are controlled by quests and scripts. (Which is kind of ironic in these cases). Technically speaking, it's NOT Ivy that is incompatible with these mods, It should be considered that it is these two mods that are incompatible with Vanilla FO4, since they change it.

Regardless. The rule of thumb is that unless the mods alters vanilla dialogue structure and/or vanilla follower framework, Ivy will probably work fine. Otherwise, unless someone has tested it and can speak up, I'd say load em up and see. So, if you post a question about a particular mod and get no reply, it's not because the question is being ignored, it's that the answer is most likely unknown.

Silly Bish, @Reginald_001 doesn't need to keep a compatibility list: He's got a bunch of trained monkeys (us), to answer those questions for him ?

So Ivy seems to break Institutionalized. The problem I've run into is when it comes time to talk to child Shaun he wont respond, which stops Father from coming in and taking over the conversation and derails the entire Institute quest line to the point that even console commands wont properly advance Institutionalized and the Nuclear Option's quests. I went through my load order, and after much trial and error on disabling a mod here and there synth-child-Shaun finally had a convo with me after turning off Ivy's mod. It could be a conflict with another mod of course, I just know that once I deactivated her the quest progressed properly. I had a similar problem with Nick and Geneva during Getting A Clue, she wouldn't run up to Nick after he called to her so the 2 of them never had their convo, but that was an easy fix because I just used the dev console to "disable" Ivy temporarily and it progressed naturally from there. That didn't work with Institutionalized, the entire quest becomes bugged out for whatever reason.

Ivy will try to talk to you in the dialogue with Shaun. But it's not bugged. It does work. Most likely, you have another mod conflict that is preventing Ivy from triggering her dialogue.

What mods do you have to alter dialogue at this point in the game.

One mod that comes to mind is Start Me Up.

None, I don’t use start me up, or any sort of alternate start. Ivy is actually not with me during the scene since I’m the only one being teleported into the Institute. Could the issue be since she’s not there but wants to cut into the convo and that’s bugging it out?

The problem is with your mods.Everyone who complained about Ivy here had some kind of mod installed that broke the gameplay.

Ivy Mod is not at fault.. I do suggest getting the Mod that allows you to take your companion in to the Institute. Many of us Say time and again Ivy is Not

at fault and it is proven Every time. Reg is one of the best modders is tests and has a group of testers. And I have never found a fault in his mods.

It's possible it is a pathing issue for Ivy. She uses the vanilla follower framework for FO4. I don't think this particular quest was designed for NPC followers. And this map is particularity difficult map for her. (It is a maze with lots of tight spaces) When you get into the Institute and when you enter the room where Shaun is penned up, Before engaging in any dialogue, use the teleport summoner on Ivy.  Make sure she's next to you before you talk to anyone.

Teleport her to you using the quick teleport, right before engaging Shaun, that should work.

I’ll do that next time, this play through I just turned the mod off long enough to get past Institutionalized without a hitch, then turned her back on. Sucked loosing our relationship progress but I’ll live. Side note i absolutely wasn’t complaining about her, I just wanted to throw it out there I ran into a problem with her in case it’s not solely on my end (which I already admitted could of been a mod conflict)

For the record I’m not complaining about her, or the author, in the least. I was simply stating I ran into an issue, and I even said it’s most likely a mod conflict in the initial post
