One mod that comes to mind is Start Me Up.

Man that place is a maze. I’ve played this game for years now and I still get turned around and lost in the Institute. To my shame I have to use the quest markers just to track down whoever I’m looking for in there lol

I would go back to the previous save and try that.

Is there a mod list anywhere for getting the best Ivy experience? I do not think my game has broken, but I always feel like I am missing something.

Since using Ivy, I have always wanted to "Finalise" our relationship,, but that aint going to happen anytime soon. I still need a mod that makes the settlers 

act more normal and NOT flood your house.

I need some advice.I want to start another playthrough and I want to change Ivy's apperance.  Only changed a couple of Skyrim characters and that was by tinkering with their files adding asomething to it from another character and replacing it with something from another character.

 

I would like to get this right.  I assume there is a post where thiis is discussed,Or another thread,If you could refer me to it I would appreciate it thanks..

Okay, bare with me on this one, it's a question based on things I've read here since around Ivy 4.0 and on that I've wondered about for a long time now but simply never bothered asking (along with some questions and feedback for Reginald directly about Ivy's personality).
 

I believe I read somewhere on this thread that the main reason why Ivy isn't compatible with XDI is because she currently uses the vanilla follower/companion framework. That being said, I also think I remembered reading something about Reginald wanting to, or planned to, have the next version of Ivy running on her own framework? If both of those things are true, wouldn't that mean that the new upcoming version of Ivy could have an XDI patch created similar to the one for Heather Casdin? (I only used Heather for one play-through, a while back, but I do remember an XDI patch that worked as intended.)
 

I ask this because I've always used Ivy alongside the mod "Just Business." The only real issue I've ever actually encountered from running her with XDI (which is required for Just Business) is not being able to see what I'm actually saying to her in certain dialogue options or menus she has. Never had an issue starting or finishing her quests, nothing like that, just dialogue issues. I knew what I was getting into when I ran her alongside a mod she wasn't compatible with - but I've always considered both mods to be essential for an immersive play-through.
 

So when I started thinking that the new version of Ivy might be able to have an XDI patch created that could fix the dialogue issues caused by it - I decided it would be best to actually find out if that theory had any merit before I got all excited. If that's not the case, when the next version of Ivy is released I'll probably remove Just Business for the sake of experiencing Ivy as intended, but nonetheless, I figured I'd see if Reginald or anyone else who might have a better understanding than I do of how an XDI patch works might be able to clarify.
 

Okay so, one last thing. Really just about Ivy's personality, or Reginald's view for Ivy's personality in regards to certain aspects of your character's relationship with her. So, say my character isn't interested in sharing Ivy with filthy Raiders, so he immediately turns off Ivy's prostitution subroutines. I've noticed that if you turn off her prostitution subroutines she will never, ever have anything to say about your relationship when asked "how she feels about us" other than "she doesn't mind being exclusive to you but she misses her customers and messing around with other bodies." Literally every single time, until you turn it back on. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not, but that always kinda made me sad. If she's built to be programmed to the exact specifications that her master wants, and is also programmed to behave how he/she wants based off of the parameters that you set - why would she not have a "monogamist subroutine" or something for customers who aren't cuckolds? The whole "same exact line" every time is a bit off-putting with a character who generally has so much to say. Now, this could be completely intentional, and I get that. This is after all, Reginald's creation, so I can only guess at whether or not this is an intentional part of Ivy's personality or an oversight - which is why I'm mentioning it here. Mostly curiosity.
 

Personal feedback though: I'd love to see some kind of progression with Ivy, maybe after she falls in love with you, where she becomes okay with not being - or even no longer wants to be a prostitute. Once you get to the point where Ivy and your character are in love, she's such a sweetheart that it almost almost felt unlike her not to care about how that might make your character feel. That's just my two cents, for whatever it's worth, do with it what you will.
 

Lastly, I've also found that if you turn off Ivy's prostitution subroutines early on, she'll never fall in love with you at all. You'll never get the dialogue about how she's fallen in love with you unless you turn the prostitution subroutines back on. I've tested that out about a dozen or so times now with the same results each time. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed these things or not, it's definitely possible that another mod is causing it, and also possible that this could be completely intentional and is simply part of Reginald's view for who Ivy is, but I'll never know until I ask, right?

Hmmm I turned it off a few days after we started dating and Before her personal mission,, She IS in love with you IF you get that mission.

When you speak to her other personalities, they along with King Pelican confirm it. Her Falling in love is what causes her malfunction,, I am

ngl I'm a little disappointed you can't bet "decency" or "dignity" on blackjack. You know, whomever loses has to strip naked, or walk naked through a public area, or something.

 

Still, I like Ivy, though I know I'll love her when I get used to her voice and near-nonstop profanity. Still trying to figure out why my attempts at changing her appearance aren't working, probably missing something somewhere, though my searching has brought up nothing. I haven't heard any lesbian erotic stories from her, and I'm hoping I will soon, though I'm not holding out too much hope.

 

Overall, she's funny, kinky, and decently sexy.

But in 6.0 Ivy will completely cease to function when: AFT / UCF OR XDI is installed. You will not even FIND her. Instead a pop up will inform you of this incompatibility.

 

Version 6 now offers a compatibility check and automated mod support.

Is Unlimited Companion Framework okay, though? I use it so I can have both Ivy and Dogmeat in my party.

 

EDIT:: Just realized what UCF stands for. New question: Alternative?

Still playing with Ivy 4.0 ChicGeek. Haven't had the troubles like I did with Ivy 5.0. I have a friend who I told him about Ivy when I first discovered her long time ago and now he just loves her as a companion. He doesn't run with companions or companion mods like I do. Unlimited Companion Framework, Mistress Passion and couple others. Have her changed over to Fusion Girl but other than that never changed her. Love her just as she is. If you want a great companion and not worried about her language then you will enjoy her just as much as I and others do. Reginald_001 you did a great mod here. Thanks

So I installed the mod and then loaded a game (just after vault, just got to the first town) and it had a message - No F4SE. So I downloaded the latest and intalled it with Vortex, still says the same NO_F4SE message. Thoughts?

You can also check Reginald's Discord channel, and grab his "Reginald's Followers". Will only allow 1 additional follower, recruited and dismissed through a holotape, but works well in conjunction with Dogmeat mods as well.

Thank you so much! I'll uninstall UCF, install this, and start a new game. I feel like my Nora needs immediate comfort after losing her husband, if you know what I mean.

Ivy doesn't use F4SE. So that's another mod coming to you with that message.

F4Se is used to load the game a certain way to enable Script extender mods.. the game MUST be loaded BY F4SE.

You can get all the info on Nexus. I use alot of F4SE mods.
