Still wrong place. Its not IN, its near (or should be if you installed mod correctly). Check if Vortex has activated plugins.

everything is installed correctly. The older versions of ivy were in the root cellar. so i figured thats where it was. so where is she?

When you goin' down from the Vault to the north bridge, by your left should be relay/radio tower... If its not there, something's wrong.

Managers have tendency to screw up sometimes. Try to install and activate mod manually

As another user has already pointed out -> between the vault (from which you come at the vanilla start) and the village called "Sanctuary" there is a radio tower and at its foot a cellar

 

 

since I use "vortex" myself... that also works with automatic installation

I am wondering whether you have completely and cleanly uninstalled the old version?

2. I'd like to make a request.  I have the Get Dirty mod installed, and Ivy can get pretty grungy.  However, she doesn't use the showers with CWSS unless told to do so, and she doesnt' leave them until, again, she's told to do so.  Would it be possible to have her use them on her own?

1) Ask for it over at our Discord, there's a separate chat channel for Ivy face presets, already a bunch of good ones there too.

2) I don't know how CWSS works. I know that Ivy uses the same idle packages as any other NPC so maybe it's something that needs to be patched for Ivy and CWSS. Your best bet would to check if a CWSS discord exists (I have no idea) or a forum somewhere dedicated to it where you can ask.

 

For anyone doubting, yes the Sosex doll was an april's fools thing.

But this particular doll DOES really exist. She's cheaper too, but don't expect AI.

I would really like to know how I am supposed to complete steins construct. I continue to die and do the same thing over and over again. YES I have seen the walkthrough but it is way too complicated to avoid the lights and complete the mission. No you can't turn down the difficulty when you are in survival. TGM probably doesn't work. So it is a terrible finish to what was a really good story and a fantastic companion. So I won't finish the Steins Construct as I hate Nuka world anyway - downright evil. A disappointing end though for Ivy.

It's ok. You will cope. I had the same feeling often, while playing Elden Ring.

 

There was a very specific design and story reason to make the gameplay different inside of Stein's construct. It's designed to make the player not feel like a gun-toting invincible god that can spam quicksave or mod guns, etc.. to show players that it's not their force and power that will fix things at this point, (perhaps not even the 'player's' story to finish but that is another discussion). They/You are just there to help a lending hand in a very difficult psychological and technological situation, one that can't be fixed with anger or violence. So yes. The map is designed to be difficult (depending on game difficulty setting) and frustrating and to make you feel helpless while playing it. But once you do finish it, learn the underlying mechanisms and find the information you were looking for, it makes the endorphin rewards feel much more significant.

 

The last map has been tested thoroughly in all difficulty modes. And with thoroughly, I mean I literally played 200 times through each difficulty mode, adjusting and tweaking each one, making 1000 full playthroughs just while designing it. Then the test team did their testing. The map works, but it plays differently than most things seen before in Fallout (having said that, the 'avoid the light' mechanism is now cliche in horror games at this point so..)

 

Some tips:

- The candles placed everywhere are safe spots, Debby explains this in one of the notes.

- You can ignore the optional quest markers without real consequences, they provide extra lore but are not vital to finishing (e.g. they're 'optional').

- Make sure to find and read all the notes.

- Be patient. Once you are in a safe spot nothing can find or touch you, so stand close to the candle light and observe the routes of NPC's so you can avoid them

- Do not be seen by the Stein clone inside. He moves slowly and always between workstations so you can predict his path.

Please don't get discouraged.  The old adage of "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again" certainly applies here.  The reward is definitely worth the effort.  But, if you are close to opening a vein in distress, PM me and I will give you some "pointers."  They are nothing anyone couldn't know if they use the right tools.  But I digress.  Again.  Game On!?

Does Ivy outfit has a meaning or i can give her something else before meeting her? In the preview i recall she's dressed with some old fashioned dress, that's a bit odd for a "sexdoll", it's because you wqas limited by the games asset @Reginald_001 ?

Should i give her something sexy? or thorn since she's locked in her bunker since decade?

It's your game, play it the way you want. Some people turn her into an Ikaros robot (which would normally go 100% against Ivy's lore), others might give her a pony head, still others make her into that scary anime race. I'm pretty laid back when it comes to it, play it the way you like.

 

As for the dress itself it does have a big backstory that you will learn about during her quests and as you get to know Ivy. But there are no 'penalties' regarding what she wears or not.

Her default outfit is also using the mesh from one of the base game outfits, so if you're using a replacer for vanilla outfits then her outfit will take on the appearance from that.

Alright!  Yup its my game but i want her to stay true at what you created in some way so i don't get pulled out of her story if i changed something.
If you took care at keeping her somehow "lorefriendly" to blend in F04 world, then I won't ruin it.

 

I already decided to not change her into a half cyborg because of that, and i will keep following your advice to enjoy her story and company best.
She will keep her blond hair, that red lipstick and her glasses in a new facepreset

(also, any old styled Dress could do it? Or you made that very dress being unique to her story?
Wondering if it's just the style that matter or if it goes further.)
