Yeah... for compatibilities... But... who would forbid you to use custom body...

Yes - it is possible to use a custom body present for Ivy - the way to do this was presented in this thread a few pages ago.
So if you are interested in it as a user -> please work your way through the pages and then understand the whole thing.
The face and clothes have also been exchanged accordingly by users - it's not necessarily my personal taste how Ivy looked then - but I have great respect for the knowledge required for this exchange because it exceeds my own abilities

I can't say for others but I simply have a bunch of 'presets' that I can use with the command 'ShowRaceMenu' or whatever FO4 uses (I get Skyrim and FO4 confused when not playing for awhile).

This is probably the fastest way to give Ivy a different 'look'. Becoming familiar with the Bodyslide program can allow you to make specific clothing items shaped differently - and is the best option if you give Ivy a different body so specific outfits of your choice can reflect her 'shape'.

smile,

So I'm pretty good at using Bodyslide now - it's more about bringing these results to the right places.

If the mod has an open structure (like many clothing mods) it still works quite well -

In Skyrim, for example, with a mod for a succubis race that has two (human and daedric) body forms, I can create a different present for each and store them in the respective folders.

Another mod that brings a succubus transformation for my char -> "wrapped" in a BSA

what "unpacking" means to me - exchanging the files and "re-packing".

And here it is too difficult for me.

I still did that with "Morrowind" - but from "Oblivion" onwards, my attempts to manipulate a BSA have always ended in disaster.

It's rare that a mod has even decent writing, let alone good writing, but there's some moments in Ivy that are fucking hilarious.

I legit laughed out loud when Sturges started his "You ready to do some work?" bullshit (which is amusing given that Sanctuary is now a bustling SS2 city), and Ivy goes into a long detailed list of services, then goes "Oh. Uh. Forget I said anything."

Amazing.

Firstly thanks to the author for another amazing piece of work,

I have enjoyed it very much since 4.0 but with the latest version 6.0 I am in a quandary,

I have tried the new opening but IVY is still unable to hack, she does not respond to my hacking commands,

otherwise it should be fine, for this I am very distressed and would like advice.

Thanks again.

Hey folks. I randomly came across the magazine bobble head for Ivy but now playing through again I have searched everywhere and I don't remember where I found it. Any hints?

Hey, help please. I uninstalled the old version of Ivy and installed the new one according to the instructions, but now she's just gone from the game and I can't summon her through the holotype. What should I do?

did you start a new game?

summon her through what holotape?

You get Ivy by finding her in her cellar and redeeming her.

All the necessary plugins are active in your mod manager?

Guys, but I don't want to start a new game and do ALL the quests all over again. Isn't there some other way?

Sure, give Bethesda a call and ask them to redesign their game engine, or you can continue being stubborn, wasting peoples time in this forum, and reinstall install the old version of Ivy and continue on with your current save

I'm sure Toddy will agree to putting back Starfield to sort this :D

You don't have to be rude, do you? It's not a typical situation when a companion mod completely breaks the game. Maybe there are some console commands or something to at least raise Ivy's affinity level and complete her personal quests?

Straight from Reginald's discord:

Reginald — 11/20/2020
ANNOUNCEMENT: IVY 6.0 WILL REQUIRE A NEW GAME.

In addition, Ivy doesn't use the game's affinity system so "console commands" to raise it will not work. Ivy's affinity system is unique to Ivy so you're asking for the impossible.

Either start a new game for Ivy 6.0 or reinstall your old version. There's really no point in discussing this any further.

Thank you for your reply. This is actually the first time I've encountered such a situation and I was hoping there was a way to solve it.

Believe me, I get it. My current character is lvl 203 and has been adventuring with Ivy ver 5.3 and Heather Casdin from the beginning. However, as soon as I read that Ivy 6.0 was going to be released and that an updated version of Heather was in the works, I set up a brand new profile, all ready to go.

I'm actually looking forward to starting fresh. :)

Damn!

Best I've done so far is lvl 135 on the Xbox (totally vanilla) before mods became available on console.

I keep starting new games now, as there's always something new and nifty coming out that I want to try, or I want to get rid of something that isn't quite what I'm after.

Lol, I hit lvl 205 a little while ago, but the only reason I'm doing this is I want to get every single SPECIAL perk that's available in the game otherwise I would have started another playthrough long ago. As it is now, I have a new profile already set up for a new playthrough with Ivy 6.0 and the new version of Heather Casdin, whenever that gets released.

I did that 1-2 years ago with Skyrim SE -> level up until you have all the perk points - it was then around level 240 or something.
Overall, dead boring - you can play through the "main story" with level 20 or less.
The only interesting things are new story mods or wacky things like special companions (not only in Fallout) and much more.
That's probably why I've restarted Fallout like Skyrim about 20 times in the meantime - many mods also always mean conflicts whose causes are not immediately apparent and therefore have to be tried out by means of restarts.
The mod with "Ivy" is by no means the first or only mod where the author strongly recommends restarting the game!
Any mod that adds a new game component and if it is e.g. only a fetish toy shop should cause the installing user to restart!

I could have sworn that Ivy responded to one of Heather Casdin's observations in Nuka World (in the same way she addresses Cait/Curie/Piper when she's describing the magazines) - or was I just hallucinating?

it doesn't require a new game, it's just best to start Ivy with a new game so you get all of her added speech in all of the locations you visit. I enabled Ivy 2/3rd's of the way in my game and she work just fine. If you wanna take advantage of her scripts, then just revisit the places you already did without her. Also if you're playing with the magazine add on, certain mags will re spawn in the same place, at least in my game. ;)
