This thread is now 115 pages long, and I haven't read every single one, so let me ask a question which probably has been asked and answered.

 

With Ivy 6.0, is there a patch to allow use of Extended Dialogue Interface?  I'd like to run both Ivy and Just Business, which needs XDI.  I really don't want to break Ivy, she's a work of pure creative genius and if I absolutely must choose, then I choose her.

No doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but Ivy 6.0 has built in compatibility with XDI.  You can ignore the popup you get one time when running the two together, that's left over from a previous version.

 

There is an Ivy/XDI patch available on Nexus that says it fixes just a few lines of shared dialogue that might have been overlooked, haven't tried it myself.

Reginald, you legend you.  A note of thanks for what is surely the most in-depth mod I've ever seen.  And whoever you got to do the voice is....well, she's awesome and we'll leave it at that.  ?

I recruited her the normal way, no companion mods installed. The issue turned out to be scripts from Ivy 4.0 still being present even after having Vortex remove the mod. Once I removed all of the old scripts she worked flawlessly.  Thanks for your reply.

Translation: "This already works - but only if you acquire Ivy first - then the vanilla companion system is active.

since you don't have to set anything on the AFT or load any patches".

 

As far as I understood, I can install both mods simultaneously and immediately go searching for Ivy?

Soweit ich das verstanden habe, kann ich beide Mods gleichzeitig installieren und mich sofort auf die Suche nach Ivy machen?

I had AFT installed long before the Ivy mod.
And Ivy is actually the first possible companion when you come out of the vault - if you have chosen this start.
In total I started 3 new games in this way - played through two of them completely - i.e. Ivy's quests are meant.
There were also no problems adding 1-2 more companions - both the standard companions like "Cait" or companions from mods.

I just re-download the mod again and unusually it's working. Probably I broke with FO4Edit accidentally something, I don't know.

yes to which one? she uses her own body or the one you already have installed?

do the porn mags add any more dialogue with her?

and does anyone know which AAF plugins to avoid?

I read in the compatibility test that AAF and its plugins should be fine but MIGHT cause some wonkiness.

is this specific to certain AAF plugins that can cause her getting stuck, not repsonding, quests or dialogue etc. not firing for her?

she uses the body that you have created for females in the game

the mags do add more dialogue - she tells you about the mags when you find them

as for AAF plugins? no idea. I use SEU, Violate, and Sexual Harrassment, and they all work fine. That being said, I exclude followers from those mods so as not to have any extra load.

The "crazy" thing is when you use a follower mod and have a second companion (e.g. Cait) in addition to Ivy (recruit first) - there are speech sequences from Ivy to the second companion.
When Ivy "unrolls" her text after finding a sex magazine, there is often an addition in the direction of the second companion
