Hardship relies on having a working AAF setup, so focus on getting AAF working properly first before you bother with Hardship or other mods which use it. The current guidance for AAF and animation installation can be found in The Fucking Manual.

Got an odd problem - im using the mod "More Enemies" (hosted on nexus) to increase the number of spawns for all races. When Beggar mode is turned on it seems to disable the extra spawns from More Enemies and with Beggar mode off the spawns become as they should with More Enemies. I have no idea what connection these two mods could share and im not mod-savvy enough to be able to diagnose the problem myself. So. has anyone else encountered this problem before and/or does anyone have any suggestions on how I might get around it?

That seems pretty far fetched. I don't do anything that directly affects enemies other than adding and removing them from the white flag faction, and since that is done via script it should be totally safe... That sure is a weird one.

I'm afraid not. I'm retired from Bethesda modding. (Decided I wanted to make my own games.) If you want more when you get sick of Hardship you can try my Skyrim SE mod Notice Me Senpai which has some of Hardship's elements and a lot more.

 

Eventually you might try the quasi 2.0 for Hardship, the Incomplete TSEX hardship which adds features but is very much more rough around the edges. I don't necessarily recommend that one though. 

 

You also might want to try my non adult mods alongside a hardship playthrough. CRACKLE - Comforting fires for the discerning hobo - and DLYH -- light alternate start -- 

 

Lastly if you like my stuff you should try @JB.'s mods:

I'm having an issue playing as a male character. Every time I get a female npc in an area instead of initiating sex, I immediately threaten them. Am I missing something?

There is a predator mode (which is kinda half baked so I don't really recommend you use it.) Make sure that isn't turned on by accident in the menu item. (or maybe the MCM?) I honestly don't remember how that is even implemented it's been so long.  (I haven't worked on this version of the mod for like 3 years... TSEX had the predator mode removed)

Is it possible to increase the damage from the wear and tear system?
Maybe with a console command or something?
I´m loving the mod and the idea that rough sex would take more damage..
In my play thru i try to avoid sex as much as I can but when it happens it should have more impact on the Hp or stats

Anything I say about how this mod works at this point is talking out my ass since I haven't worked on it in like over 2 years, but most things are handled in the scripts (There are like 70 of them) You will have to look through them find the value you want to change, change it and recompile the script. That said at least my scripts are generally named sensibly, unlike almost every other mod I've seen. You'll need to unzip the archive to get at the source code, IIRC. I don't think I was making it a seperate download until Notice Me Senpai. Where I'd look is at the end of every sex script. Chances are it was repeated in each one since I didn't get decent at centralizing until my latest mod.

 

A warning though. You can already with the current small setting easily get raped to death if you are at all injured and get assaulted at one of the larger raider camps. I kinda feel like the mod is actually in kind of a sweet spot for this setting.

Thank you for this wonderful mod! I'm having some issues with the animations- when playing, for example i got menaced by a raider earlier, I got all of the proper dialogue options. I also got the sex dialogue boxes, and the choices between different reactions to sex. The sound effects play, and I am stripped down- but after that, none of the animations play. I can walk around naked, but nothing happens after that. I have reinstalled everything and tried making a new game file, but nothing has gotten the sex animations to play for me despite getting everything else to work. What can I do?

Do you have Leito's animation pack installed? Are you using the Staged Leito Plus Erection Fix patch for it too? If you're also using another patch like UAP, did you remember to exclude Leito's animations from being patched in its FOMOD installer menu?

Thank you for your response. Yes, I have both the animation pack as well as the staged plus patch, I do not use any alternate programs like UAP.

In that case, you'll want to bring up the AAF on-screen interface after that happens (press the Home key unless you've remapped it in AAF_settings.ini) and then press Delete several times until you get to the Admin view, and the Enter key to display the log. Hopefully you'll see some errors about it trying to start an animation which should give details on what failed and maybe why.

What ModuleConfig.xml in which mod did you find that? I don't see those lines present in either HARDSHIP_1.5.9K.7z or Vioxsis' Strap-On's of Fallout 4.7z. You downloaded the latest versions, right?

Yes, its from Staged Leito Plus Erection Fix (just realised was in the hardship thread and not that one) which is listed as a requirement

Thanks, now I see it. You omitted some relevant context for those conditions (the very next line inside the pattern block where you find those):

So what you see there is the list of conditions under which that option should be greyed out. Basically if the new Strap-Ons plugin is inactive or missing, or the old Strap-On plugin is active, or Leito's animation pack plugin is inactive or missing, or the Custom Moans plugin is active, then you'll be prevented from selecting the particular option which has that pattern definition.

Good catch. I have both installed, but I installed SLP (years) before I installed the new strap-ons mod, so didn't notice. I also don't do much in the way of FF with Hardship besides menacing raiders, but I think I've seen strap-ons still working in those (granted I'm using the newer TSEX Hardship, not this older one).

 

You could try temporarily disabling VIO_Strap-On.esp, installing SLP, then enabling VIO_Strap-On.esp again.

Ah im probably just being silly and didnt do something right however whenever I try to turn on the hardship mode or get the hardship item it doesnt work. when I adjust the mod settings in the menu it changes and saves until I get back in game where I can find it reverted to off. Also body textures are weird haha, Its 100% me, I dont mod stuff very often but Im at a loss.

You probably have Real Handcuffs below Hardship, or are missing a master. Generally it's the RH load order thing.

You should be more specific. There are different skins available for the various bodies here and on the nexus (and probably elsewhere), but there are also things like the Headrear fiixes, and fucked up raider dirty textures and such that are less plug and play. Sorry but you are just gonna have to look that shit up as I dealt with those things long ago, and don't remember how. TBH if you are gonna mod this game you need to become technical quickly and learn how to use things like nifscope, and bodyslide. Fallout 4 modding is a LOT less noob friendly than Skyrim.
