I figured it out. I had to actually get the AE version of PapyrusUtil (4.3.0) for some reason, even though I stayed on SE. But it works now!

What is your game version? If the game has updated to 1.6, then the so-called "AE Version" of Papyrus would be needed. SE got updated, but it still is SE. So much confusion about "versions". They should drop the whole "AE version" thing and refer to the game version regarding compatibility.  ?

I have Skyrim 1.6.353.0. I bought the game (as SE) this month, and still see the option to upgrade to AE on the menu screen, so I was pretty sure I avoided the automatic update. Maybe not?

No. You're updated to the most current game version of SSE. Anniversary Edition is something you have to buy. It's all the Creation Club DLC. As I mentioned, there is so much confusion about Anniversary Edition. The game is still SSE. There is no "AE Version" of Skyrim. The game is still Skyrim SE. Once you buy, download and install the AE DLC, THEN you have Anniversary Edition.

Bottom line.....you need to download the version of Papyrus that is for your version of the game compiler ...... which is what you are running - 1.6.353.0.

All right, I get your explanation. The fact still is that the mod breaks when I use Papyrus for SE, but works with the version for AE. So I'm still confused, but it works, so F it I guess.

Yeah, people, including mod authors who have updated their mods, call it an "AE version" of the mod. But it's a misnomer. It's Bethesda's fault. If everybody would go with the game version for mod reference, instead of calling it "AE version" there'd be less confusion. Well, at least you got things working.

Hi i saw that the latest update says that it applies to high poly head now. But from my experience that the only part not effected. Am I doing something wrong?

I have a issue: the glossiness and specular effect (strangely) don't be applied automatically in player character, only if i force the values. In NPCs works great. That don't occurred when a play the LE version

So, I had a problem with it not recognizing Nioverride as well, so I commented out that check and recomiled the script (the rest seems to work properly). I also made a small patch for Keep It Clean which sets the wetness to soaked/max for Washbaskets/Soap.

Edit: And another Edit which should enable OStim support (base, enjoyment and orgasm, no pain, no OAroused, OSLAroused works for that)

WetFunctionMCM.pex Wet Function Redux - KIC Patch.7z

Dang.  I was hoping your WetFunctionRedux SE file might fix my issue with WetFunction not working with OSLAroused in my setup.  A few people seem to be having the same issue over on the OSLAroused mod site.  The issue is, the MCM never comes up if OSLAroused is used over OAroused.   The reason I wanted to use OSLAroused is that Aroused Sexy Idles works with it and not OAroused.

Hmm, I had the MCM not show up at first (it did show up with a light load, but not with a heavy mod load), with the log showing that the script no longer had its properties (basically, it was completely messed up) despite me just having re-downloaded it (and despite it working with a light load...). After recompiling it, it worked fine though. So, if you haven't yet, try my script, it might make the MCM work for you.

Having an issue where I can't stop the "wet" effect. Even though it "finished" "stopping" it, I could still see the effect on my characters body. It's like permanent

did you adjust the mods settings? with some tweaks you can cause this urself.

Wetfunction Redux SE not applying wet effects to female heads.

Digging through original mod led to this finding for fixing that issue,

OsmelMc provided files to correct the issue for wethead, on page 20.

Without wethead Im not sure using this file is worthwhile since it will be jarring to not have wet effects across the whole body.

Note that the fix cannot just be whole sale applied over the top of the current release version of wetfunction SE because its looking for NioOverride, which is not there anymore.

So unless Im missing something.

I honestly looked through all the female head part headers to make sure that they all matched and that all possible femalehead.nif's also had proper text strings.

So I rule that out for the problem because they are all basegame at the time of testing.

Yes I did download a proper femalehead_S texture for head sweat.

Hi, I'm having an issue with this mod. When the effect is applied I get a neck seam. I'm using bhunp with high poly head and looked everywhere for a fix, but I wasn't able to find a solution. Does anyone know how to get rid of that seam?

without fully understanding what your problem is OR if you have a solution for this, neither LE nor SE version of the mod AND not the osmel fix does really fix the problem

the only working solution I ever found was editing the ESP of the HighPolyHeads.

for example here the HighPolyHead.

The problem is that the EditorID and Name is different and this prevents Wetfunction from working on it.

So basically it is a problem created by the HighPolyHeads mod authors.

Alright well I do understand how to look at the editor ID's to make the entries say "race"head, I do have a few things changing the race information for my game to dig through.

Although I could swear I had looked through my entries and found that the heads were labeled correctly.

As an alternative for wet effects I ended up using, RASS mod which applies wet, ash, snow, frost shaders to the whole model not just the skin.

Although sweat effects are cool, it just was not working out of the box for me.  I do recall having it work in my LE game but also recall having to dig through a lot of entries and make corrections to get it there.

Thanks.

I also have the same-ish issue. I know there is an option in mcm that can adjust how long the effect lingers for, but that's under auto-apply section. And I wonder when I set it to 1, does that mean I'll have to actually pass 1 game hour for the effects to be gone? Because when i pressed T to wait, the effects were still there afterwards.

When I test on my character using the Targets page in mcm, it applies the effects on my character right away, but when I try to stop the effects I'll have to save and reload the game and pray for the effects to go away.

Has anyone found a solution to the issue of the MCM randomly not showing up? I have the right version of SKSE, race menu and Papyrus and the menu has always shown for me before. I recently started a new game though and now it doesn't show. It also doesn't show on previous saves where it did work before. I can see from the console that its installed.

The only mods I added were texture replacers and FISSES. I figured it could be caused by FISSES so I removed it and started another new game but unfortunately it still isn't working  ?

OSLAroused specifically causes the mod to not have MCM or work for me. The patches by sds1 didn't help either. That being said, I do have a heavy mod order(around 200 plugins) and 60 MCMs so that might be the cause as well

Posted (edited)

I suppose it could be the heaby load order, I've heard people say that removing mods worked for them but I've pretty much got my load order back to where it was the last time it worked and I still can't get it to function, so weird...

Edit: Given the issues many of us seem to have with the MCM, if this ever gets updated I wonder if a power/spell could be added that lets you access the same settings (with an option in the MCM to remove the spell for those who don't need it). Such a shame because I really want to use the mod but without knowing what the conflict/issue is (e.g. I don't use OSLAroused) I don't want to literally have to build my entire LO and game around this one mod..

it works for me (older version) but i have a question. is it normal that you cant see the "weteffect" on the skin if there is no light shining on it? lets say the sun is shining and you face towards the sun. i only have the weteffect at the front and not at the back

Turns out the issue for me is the 3.0 update for Serana Dialogue Addon, there's some incompatibility there. Hopefully people are able to figure it out.
