What do you use to tell how much VRAM you are using in game?

I also have 4GB.

Look for Skyrim Performance Monitor - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6491

It is a useful tool to troubleshoot how the game behaves (don't use it all the time.. only when you need to look into issues).

I don't know if there is a SE version yet though.

It does, here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3826

I used a graphics card utility thingy though, ASUS GPU TweakII

4GB by the way, which I am running pretty much full, but the glitches are 100% repeatable and only in areas where Sanguine's shrines are. So, Morvunskar Fort, Haelga's Bunkhouse, and now (see below) the meadery basement.

I already wrote a reply to both of you of how I could only find a locked trap door to the meadery basement which I didn't have a key to, because I am not joining the thieves guild on this character... But just now I used console commands to gain access to, and fly around in the basement, and I found the shrine for the first time. Kind of anticlimactic, since it's completely bugged and glitched too.

Video here. So, what the actual fuck is going on with my game? lol. Are my filed corrupted? I was able to go to the Dreamworld though, because I got a quest to sleep there and then it worked. So without cheats, would I have to do the thieves guild quest?

Yeah... flying polygons and this kind of texture are typical of VRAM issues.

There are a couple of options:

- you can try to run Ordenator to reduce the size of your textures across the game and save yourself some VRAM that way (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/). If you do, keep a backup of your original textures as the tool works great but it can also mess up certain files like war paint, tattoos and make up. I don't know if it works with SE though.

- you can go over your mods and see if any have lower resolution options. Stay away from 4K textures or above.

- if you can afford it, get a video card with 8G of VRAM. There is only so much you can do optimizing your files.

I have the same issue, but I have an RTX 2080 Ti with 11 Gb of VRAM.  When I look at the ASUS GPU Tweak monitor, it is not even half full, so I would look else where for the issue.  I was able to load the LE version and the problem on the statue stopped, sadly I've never been able to get inside the Dreamworld with the LE version.  I also noticed the issue is less apparent in the Dreamworld in first person (SD+ SSE version).  I will try Ordenator according to this thread (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18087) and see if it help.

I mean I have a 980:

and I distinctly remember that even on my old 780 I played the LE with an ENB and tons of graphics mods, and got about 40 FPS... If my new card can't play SE without any graphics mods (which, if you look through my modlist, I really don't have any graphics mods this time) then I would be majorly confused.

But the comment by snook makes me hopeful in that regard, I mean I was really sure that it had to be something with SD+, because literally everything else and every other mod works.

EDIT: Oh, I just ran that Skyrim Performance Monitor, and checked my Task Manager. The GPUTweakII reading was false, I am at 2.2/4.0GB VRAM while standing infront of the statue. Can't be an issue. Proof:

That looks like a problem your end. It reminds me a what is called artifacting, which means it's something to do with your graphics card and not the game. Check the drivers are up to date and working.

Also does it only happen when playing Skyrim? Or in one location only in Skyrim?

Last time I had this in a game my graphics card was dying. You could also check VRAM usage as well as you might be running out especially if using ENB.

Thanks, but since I have a 2080ti with 11GB of VRAM, I can't imagine it is anything to do with my graphics card. It only happens at that specific point, a few seconds after getting to Dreamworld, right after the spell effect which I assume is supposed to be the spectral gear spawning (although I can't see it...). No issues in other parts of Skyrim, or with other games.

I also did try lowering the resolution to 1080p (I usually play at 4K), just in case, and it didn't make a difference,

Ok. Could be corrupt mesh files then just in that location. I would try and reinstall unless you have already done it. I play with Death Alternative and the black out screen is still in effect when I go there mostly so I can't move around until it has stopped running. So never had the issue you are having.

This mesh is also used in one of the rooms in the temple of the divines in solitude and in the upstairs bedroom in Honningbrew meadery. Also in the basement of Haelga 's bunkhouse.

Can you check if these artifacts happen there too?

I get the same issue and I am running up to date drivers on a invida 1060 gtx 6 gig vram  and I have adjusted graphics setting in invida control panel 3d management settings to run the graphics card at its highest performance I don't get that problem with anything but that mod. I also used the other SD+ mod the "SDPluse SE May 2019" and did not have that problem with it but it would randomly CTD.

Actually yes, I just checked and the artifacting does happen in each of those locations as well, although to a lesser degree (only when standing/looking in certain places). It only seems to happen while SD+ is installed.

Just to add a note my system is running the mod just fine. I am using a AMD Vega 64 8GB VRAM. So could it be an issue with NVIDA ?

would not be the first time I have heard of that sometimes nvida will not run something that amd will and sometimes the other way around. I think its more about the GeForce vs. Radeon software rather then the hardware but I'm not for sure.

Has anyone been able to successfully add SMP weights to the CBBE Bodyslide files for the Sisters of Dibella? I followed the instructions on the CBBE SMP page and it all works for the most part, though you can see that the outfits themselves will bounce while the body underneath does not, and the dress Senna wears also has a chunk of its length turn invisible after Outfit Studio sticks a mask on it. It works well overall but I wondered if anyone got a nicely-tuned package already set up since I'm still pretty clueless with Outfit Studio's tools.

Hey,

I did some investigations.

First I tried SD+ SE and had the issue with the statue under Honeybrew with the multicolor skin issue.  I know it worked once with the Oldrim version (it was the 20190907), but that's it, it only worked once giving me the correct marble skin.  Still it was buggy inside the Dream world, (No shackles or gag, and those weird purple display).

I tried as I promised, Ordenator.  No luck on that one side either, the problem remained the same.

So I decided to try installing the latest version of Oldrim SD+ (20191031) after optimizing, same result.

I then thought about trying everything I did on Oldrim itself.  Always starting from a fresh game where SD+never been.  Not a single problem with both version 20190907 and 20191031 but also... no problem with the SE version 20190907 version.   Actually the SE version was running pretty smoothly ?, maybe we should just optimize Oldrim ?.

So  I tried again on SSE to with the SD+ Oldrim version with-out optimization.  Still from fresh start where SD+ had never been installed.  {Note:  I had no choice, I screwed up my good game doing that ?)  Ho well... more fun for my succubus ?.  Still the same issue:

Then I did a mistake:

Notice the missing texture, I forgot to install the resources.  Sadly I don't know what version this was, but the statue still have the multi-color skin.  This means the skin is not applied and SSE do not digest something in the conversion.  I could not go in the Dream world at that point and just CTD.

Now my Oldrim built and SSE one are different.  I do have HDT and the latest version of DD devices  "4.2" and Zap 8.0.  On SSE, SD+ ask to overwrite some, it do not on Oldrim.  Same for Dibella Sisterhood.

I remove the Skyrim Particle patch for ENB on SSE to see if it would fix the effect in the Dream world, but it only reduced it a little.

ENB work differently in SSE so it may also affect the display.

Now this is pretty much the extent of what I can find, Hope this will help find the solution.

My PC caught a devious worm, so I had to wipe everything and start over (26Tb), so I've been occupied getting my PC back set up properly. I lost all my copies of my conversions, so I'll have to download it from here and check it out and see if I can duplicate the issue, and if i can, if I can get it resolved. I run ALL AMD hardware and while I had the same problem on my first test of it, I got it fixed before I uploaded it. I REALLY hope I didn't pack the wrong files for the download. Once I get everything set up and a new load order running, I'll give it a run through and see what the deal is.

Good luck with your file and system.

Thanks lol  Firmware worms are a real bitch, I had to wipe all the drives, then flash all of my firmware. Fun stuff. I've got a handle on it now, and am almost set up again, Hopfully I can dig into this thing tomorrow

I'm not sure whether to ask for help here or in Parasites thread, but I can't get the spider eggs to show up. They stay invisible, even though in the inventory they are marked as equipped. Doesn't matter if I try the infect player spell from MCM or do it manually by adding them to inventory and equipping them manually, they simply stay invisible. Everything else works fine and the eggs also show up as thumbnail in the inventory.
