Is anyone getting errors with the new version being unable to find its system.json file? (even though its there)

Yeah, I'm getting that too.

Make sure the SUM version No. and the json version No. match.

You can see this in SUM's MCM under 'System' page.

error message says the path should be "Data/SKSE/Plugins/Skyrim - Utility Mod/System/SUM/System.json"
This IS the path where the file is installed.

The 'System' subfolder is where SUM stores and reads mod related data and should not be changed by the player as that could lead to mod breaking.

This is where mod versioning is being stored.

HOWEVER, in the MCM, system tab, down under the "System Json Folder/Path" heading, the path is listed as "Data/SKSE/Plugins/Skyrim - Utility Mod/Global/MCM/System"

The 'Global' subfolder is where the mod stores and reads player related data and can/should be changed by the player at will as that will not break the mod in any way.

For example the .json location you have mentioned here (iSUmSystem.json by default), contains all the faction name rename/changes that the player makes, shortcuts* for long folder names, among many others.

*- One such shortcut is for the POP jail props folder location. So if the player types 'xpopJailProps' in the forms folder path, it will translate it into '../xazPrisonOverhaul - Patch/System/POP/JailProps/'. The only way to add shortcuts is to edit the .json itself. The shortcut name to be typed into the MCM is the json string name.

On 8/23/2021 at 1:46 AM, circuit said:

The MCM menu does give the option to change this, but MCM itself seems to have a character limit on text entry boxes, and so you can't actually enter in the full file path to correct the error.

You can enter long file paths names in chucks preceded by a '+'.

So, the above folder path you would enter as such,

Data/SKSE/Plugins 'Enter'

+/Skyrim - Utility Mod/ 'Enter'

+Global/MCM/System 'Enter'

As for the error, see my previous post about checking if SUM and json versions match.

Did you make sure that the 'blah blah blah' bit was correct?

As mentioned in the other topic, I fixed with a clean install of both Skyrim and the mod.

I think that particular build had become to dirty to trust any save, even a new game as 'clean' ?

Thanks Inte.

Which SL version?

Hello! I'm also have that message.

My situation in which an error occurs: I have now returned to SSE again (I played about 3 years ago, there were few adult mods then), but already with 18+ mods (including your mods). So, after installing it in your set of mods POP-5-02-SE.zip + SUM-2-02-SE.zip, as well as, of course, SexLab SE 1.63 Beta 9 (+all its dependencies, I specially checked 10 times so that the version was SE) and animations (also from the SE + FNIS section did not issue warnings)... At the start of a new game, a window pops up constantly (with each save loading and it seems not once) with an error at the expense of the SL version that it has not been tested, and the version indicated there is already 1.6209 and stable like 1.6200. An example of this error is in the message attachment.
This is despite the fact that the SL version is already 1.63! Maybe I don't understand the numbering of SL versions correctly, but then which version is the correct one? Either I'm blind, or there is no version 1.62 for SSE, but there was already the above 1.63 Beta 9. Please check! If you need a lower version, then tell me which one (I hope not the first beta version... Since then, apparently, there have been quite a few changes and bug fixes, etc.).
P.S. At first, SUM also gave a bunch of messages about UIExtension, but there it was in the PapyrusUtil version. As soon as I installed the latest one, the messages disappeared...

Hello, I need help

I installed Skyrim Utility Mod using MO2 for Skyrim LE, I am assuming correctly

But every time I start a New Game, or Load a Save

I get this pop up, then a second later

I get this on the top left.

This happens every time I enable a mod with System.json like Skyrim Utilit Mod, and Prison Overhaul Patched.

I can see the System.json file on MO2's virtual data

So I could not understand why the pop up occurs.

For now I am trying to find out how to find out how to fix this for Skyrim Utility Mod, since I am assuming that I could do the same for Prison Overhaul Patched

The easiest way to see if the game/SUM can see its System.json file is in the SUM's MCM System page, see this here.

or post your own ss of the 'System' page here.

I enabled all the optional mods.

My question is.

Is it normal to get these every time I load the game?

Spoiler

or do I need to install or do something to make these go away?

Particularly with the SUM one because I am assuming that I can do the same thing for the others as well.

PS: For now I got the system.json files for POP and SDP to appear in the overwrite. I've been creating separate mods for them with Mod Organizer2 but I am still getting all these pop-up even for the ones whose files have appeared in the overwrite.

No it is not.

According to your MCM 'System' page ss, SUM has found its System.json, so that means it is in the correct location.

The only thing left that might cause those pop ups is a broken PapyrusUtil.

Make sure you have an updated and properly installed,

and its requirement SKSE.

Problem with that though, is that SexLab Beta 9 has its "own" version of PapyrusUtil which is newer than the standalone version on Nexus, and one of the mod authors highly recommends not having any other version overwrite the one in beta 9.

so if Papyrus is installed "after" Beta 9, it's overwriting the one in Beta 9, and probably causing these issues. The GitHub Version of PapyrusUtil is newer than the one on Nexus, but it's not an official release nor set up as a proper" mod to download yet either.

the only solution right now is to lower Beta 9 in the mod order in order to overwrite any mod that requires / uses PapyrusUtil. doing that though will cause some issues with various mods on mod order dependencies... .

I downloaded and replaced the one i am using. Here is my priority and loot load order.

I am still getting the pop ups for SUM, DDe and POP. I'll try a few hours of playthrough to see if it fixes itself when more game time passes.

Placing papyrus util lower in priority than SL Framework, does nothing. Placing papyrus util higher in priority than SL framework does remove the pop ups for SUM and DDe only.

If you're using a standalone install of PapyrusUtil AND Sexlab SE Beta 9 TOGETHER, uninstall the standalone PapyrusUtils and use only the one included inside Sexlab SE Beta 9.  PapyrusUtils is part of Sexlab.  It was released as a discrete package so other modders could use it without having to have Sexlab installed, but Sexlab is the origin of it.  Once Sexlab SE is out of Beta, the PapyrusUtils update should be released as a discrete package again and you can go back to installing them separately.

Is it the same for LE as well? since I am getting the pop-ups on LE for SUM and DDe if I don't have papyrus standalone overwriting Sexlab LE.

Although I am still getting the pop-ups for POP.

There are no current Beta versions of Sexlab for LE.  Keep using the Nexus version of PapyrusUtils for LE.

I have a issue, after transferring my character the game thinks I carry 909 in weighted items, while not carrying any items. Any solution how to fix this? Emptying my inventory trough console did not work.

EDIT: fixed it by setting 909.2 to 0 in the JSON and transferring again. Now my inventory is not set as 909.2 when I load my character.

In return I want to ask the most basic question... how do I select the player for Skyrim Utility? Like... for an NPC I target them with the crosshairs, but how do I target myself with the crosshairs?

EDIT: NVM, figured it out. You set a hotkey on the Systems page :)

I really feel stupid for asking, but which hotkey? For real, I can select anything but myself with Select Actor/Form Key, even free cam and crosshairs on myself doesn't do it.
