I'm old enough to remember a time when a demo was a slice of the full game. that's why I suggested limiting access to just the first slave (you could limit some things, like positions, whips, jobs, etc just for the demo), so we know what we'll get if we spend the money

tbh - even with the full game I feel there are sometimes a bit too much ads, and I really wish they would add a cum scene soon (for both the male and the females!!) - it's really missing, and that white screen is a real cock-block imho.

The whole game is a big cockblock. The sex game is tedious, the quests are obnoxious, and there's no real content to validate the price, even this early in development.  At best, it's a $5 game for those reasons alone, even if the ads weren't there.

Yeah, the cum scene is not easy, but working on it! So hope we'll have it in v0.6!

What ads do you mean? ? - we don't have adds in the game? Or do you mean the screen after the sex scenes?

So I, along with a lot of others I am sure, think the $15 is way too much. You release an update every month, maybe twice a month max? In 2 months I have just paid for a full game, in 3-4 I have paid for a full AAA big budget game, it's simply too much.

 

I would pay $20-25 one time fee for an always up to date version, but this $15 a month is way too much, I will come back when it releases, if I remember about it. I would do the $5 to just try it out but 2 versions behind means it's probably a craptastic version...

You have great models and good animation, but the sound effects are intermittent (during the interaction), apparently not from the same library and unprocessed ( no softening at the beginning and end ). There is also no automatic control of head rotation - HeadTracking (when one actor looks towards the other), also  Landscape and architecture at the primary level.

In general, a good job, but still a lot to finish to a commercial product.

 

Some people rework Gothic 2 on n CRYENGINE 3, and it turns out well, even the whole animation is reworked. Good luck to you.

The 5$ version is not a crappy one.. just the one from 2 months ago so.. I think your calculation would make sense with that - you'll just get the versions 2 months later.

I mean I bet you do some big changes in 2 months, it's a clearly inferior version. I understand the need to make some money for developing this niche game, and it does seem to have potential, but from what I see on the patron page most people I see commenting seem to think it's also simply not worth the $15 atm. If I had to pay $5 for the full game I might actually do it, but $5 for an outdated version that's always behind? No thanks, and $15 a month for a still (from what I see) early in development game, again no thanks.

 

I am not trying to seem overly harsh, I just think the method you are getting your money could be better, sure going from $15 to $5 is a -$10 a month thing but more people would be willing to do $5, and your already making almost $6,000 a month, which depending on how many people are actually involved in this (I doubt that many) is a lot for a smaller game like this where you do one update a month. Your getting paid $6,000 to do one update, it's a lot imo and to be a little insensitive the $15 seems a bit greedy. I am sure that opinion will annoy some but I have seen a lot of passion projects turn into cash grabs once they see the amount they can make from it, here it's even worse since you can easily just drag out development to keep making money.

 

But best of luck to you, I know your not going to change anything based on what one random person on the internet says lol.

Ha ha - don't worry, I'm really not annoyed and always welcome the feedback (I really do) and we always try to listen as much as possible. I do have to said it's not exactly fair to say we will probably just drag this - so far, I think we have delivered on most of our promises, and even if we do get some delay as many games do, it will definitely not be intentional - we just want to make a great game as soon as possible and move to the next one - so that's the only part I just feel is not "fair" in your post. The rest, you might be right - so maybe we won't change because of one person, as you said, but if it's a feedback that will keep repeating we sure might :)

I just said it's a very real possibility for any game supported in this way, I am not saying you are doing it, or plan to do it, just that it would be very easy to do. Now if I come back here in a year and it's still going then yeah I might say your dragging it out a bit :P 

 

On another note, I played the public demo and it did not make me want the game, there was basically nothing to do, which I get it's a demo, but how much more is there to do in the full game? I noticed a lot of locked off areas.

Not much.  Like 3-4 missions, that's it.  I'll repeat what I've said.  There's nothing about this game that makes it worth $15.

Game-play: Slaves of Rome is an adult RPG training simulation game with a strong emphasis on BDSM. You can also be a nice master, form a real bond with your slaves (each, with unique back story and personality) or more of a "average" Roman master and dominate with fear.

You can play both male and female, as it is important for us to make the game LGBTQ+ friendly and to correctly reflect history. Each slave is unique and will be shaped in your shadow with a unique story and a unique skill tree built by you after the training sessions.

You are also able to send your slaves to missions to earn gold and even trade them with other players in the online auction house.

Conan Exiles has all the infrastructure in the base game, just needs mods. Shame its not very popular and hardly anyone mods it.

I love the concept (and the looks) of this game, so thats why its caught my attention. Will be following this for sure.

@SlavesOfLove When you setup the graphics engine is it automatically switching or do you set a default graphics technology? Cause if you set a default and it isn't set to DirectX 12 or Vulkan then. It will likely be DirectX 11 based and will thus need an option in the settings area in order to switch between them (DirectX 11 or DirectX 12) unless aiming for cross platform then Vulkan will likely be a better bet.

 

Cause from what I have read the default is DirectX 11 out of the box in documentation. So it may be worth adding an options switch into the code for the game as it will save people from having to use a command line switch to enable DirectX 12 on Unreal Engine 4.

 

If you do create just such an update for the game which has this option could you please send it to me via a Patreon message as I have a DirectX 12 capable system to hand.
