SimPawgz Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 I have interracial blog with 97k followers. This is really dissapointing, as I am forced to move to Twitter which I made for my blog already a year ago. Twitter isn't a blog though so pics arent in full screen like Tumblr...or putting in links or any coolstuff. Mad lame.

Cullenite10 Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 From what I'm seeing on tumblr it does look like Lana CC Finds is going away on December 17th because their tumblr got flagged as adult and a lot of their content has been taken down already and traffic to their site has taken a huge hit. Tumblr really fucked up.
27X Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Also reminder that Yahoo is literally under the chopping block and failed to dislcose it had been 100% compromised in terms of user data for two years. They are not going to walk back this position unless Verizon allows them to, and Verizon has given them a mandate to be 100% profitable by the next fiscal year.

Literally NO platform wants anything to do with child porn. And by the way Android / Google are in accordance with this and demanding the same thing
Celedhring Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Never fails to amaze me that violence is glorified and splashed everywhere...but when it comes to human sexuality...it's NO NO NO..BANNED....NOT ACCEPTABLE! smh.... Human sexuality is perfectly natural.

Ernest Lemmingway Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 And people wonder why I've always hated Tumblr.

But to say that pedophilia had nothing to do is absurd. The app was taken down on both platforms solely because of reports of pedophilia. Otherwise Tumblr would have been taken down years ago
Geostorm69 Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 most will prob end up back on imagefap.. i went to tumblr from there lol

And I really miss still some hairstyles, clothes, skins... etc. I liked playing S3. "30 or so sims i give half a damn about" Its really about 70 I have created but most have no context, narrative or relevance. The only reason i have more is because I cant help but create a new one on occasion. In the event of a simpocalyptic hd crash I would probably only attempt to recreate about 16 of them. I just couldn't let that stand ? on topic....When people upload their crap to a site, that site has the right to administer that crap under whatever rules it deems fit. People hate the idea that a company can just censor their precious things and boot them off, but it's in the fine print and that is how its always gonna be. Tumblrs policies towards "adult" material will surely morph over time. There is a big difference between sim bras and porn. We know this and they know it too, but finding the line that the company is comfortable with will take a year or two, and by the time that happens, many content creators will have moved to a new platform. Everyone is heading back to myspace I hear.

The ban includes explicit sexual content and nudity with a few exceptions, the company tells The Verge. The new policy’s announcement comes just days after Tumblr was removed from Apple’s iOS App Store over a child pornography incident, but it extends far beyond that matter alone. “Adult content will no longer be allowed here,” the company flatly stated in a blog post published on Monday." "Banned content includes photos, videos, and GIFs of human genitalia, female-presenting nipples, and any media involving sex acts, including illustrations. The exceptions include nude classical statues and political protests that feature nudity. The new guidelines exclude text, so erotica remains permitted. Illustrations and art that feature nudity are still okay — so long as sex acts aren’t depicted — and so are breastfeeding and after-birth photos." I don't blame them. It is always some asshole that fucks things up.. (the person posting child porn on it) Seriously, What thoughts go through some peoples minds. It is too much work to keep something clean and safe, to allow people to be "mature" and manage things themselves. There are plenty of sites to post and view porn.
Kendo 2 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 I guess that Goblin Slayer anime hit harder than anyone thought it would. Tumblr's obvious objective is to target anime/hentai crowd, but the collateral damage will include gay/lesbian fan art, furries and other safespace Tumblrinas. Social justice Tumblr shutting down social justice Liberals. It's a win/win since real human beings think Tumblr is a huge joke anyway. Zero fucks given.

goaway Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 I don't know about anyone else, but I've had a significant number of tumblr posts flagged as "adult" that don't contain any nudity, and quite a few obviously "adult" blog posts left unflagged. One of the things it seems to scan for is nipples, but I'm curious how it could distinguish between male or female nipples. It also doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference between skimpy outfits and actual nudity. I noticed that any image that contains something like pasties with a high color difference to the surrounding skin got flagged. If someone with a tumblr wants to help with an experiment, post this image of cantaloupes with pink stickers and see what happens.

If they offer some sort of API and you feel good about coding a bit on your own, it should work. Otherwise, all these fancy "platforms" were, are and never will be never meant to be places for you. They just needed your brain and your content to generate clicks. ?Thinking about it, stupid as they usually are... but scripting your own webcrawler could work , too. But It would require you to be a little bit attracted to programming/scripting. Thinking more about it, maybe even some existing crawlers might work, especially since you know exactly what to expect in your own blog.

The filter is a total joke, I just checked my tumblr and certain posts are already marked as sensitive, like this one: No nipples to be found anywhere on this post. I've other posts with full nudity and they get a pass from the filter...
